Review: Omega Shaken by Aria Grace by Lorelei M. Hart 3 of 5 stars

Omega Shaken

Omega Shaken by Aria Grace by Lorelei M. Hart
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Alpha Ezra has finally decided his big house is just depressing without people living in it. His attempts at finding a sane roommate are scary at first, but he doesn't throw in the towel right away. Omega Gerald is happy for his best friend and former roommate, but he can't afford to pay the full rent on his own. So when he sees an ad for a low-cost room for rent that sounds too good to be true, he wonders if it was meant to be. Alpha Tyler is staying in Oak Grove for a job that should only take a few months, but living out of a hotel gets old fast. So when he learns about a room for rent in a nice house near town, he's happy to have a more comfortable place to live. When these three men finally connect, the chemistry between them is undeniable, but Tyler doesn't plan to stay. And what the three of them have together just doesn't feel right when one is missing.

This was a sweet love story of two alphas who fell in love with a single omega and what happened to them and their relationship. I enjoyed their interplay and the way that they negotiated everything. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPRG.

Review: My (Not So) Bossy Professor by D.K. Sutton 4 of 5 stars

My (Not So) Bossy Professor

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The straight-ish hot football coach is off limits. Detective Liam Mason is fine with that. Until their arguing and fighting turns to kissing, and Liam can’t get enough. Coach Trace Powers is the key to their undercover investigation, and Liam’s new orders are to do whatever it takes to get close. But pretending to be a professor and Trace’s fake-boyfriend, even if it’s just for the benefit of his staff, seems especially reckless when Liam uncovers an illegal operation happening off the field. And realises his feelings for the football coach are very real. Trace is in danger, and Liam will risk everything to save him.

This was a fun read as Liam and Trace worked to find out what was happening and who is responsible. Their connection was explosive and it was fun to read their push and pull. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Obey by Adara Wolf 4 of 5 Stars

Obey

Obey by Adara Wolf
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Knives thought he was over him. But eight years after he betrayed him, we're suddenly working for the same organization. It's impossible to be professional when all I can think about is how much I want to hurt him and make him suffer the way I suffered. And how much I want to completely wreck him until he's a mess of pleasure and pain. No matter how hard he tries, he can't stay away. Maddox: never expected to see Knives again having put that part of his life behind him. Yet now we're both made men in the same organization. Worse: the boss is forcing us to work together. There's no way for Maddox to apologize. so he'll take whatever he gives him, the good and the bad. He deserves to suffer. Sometimes, Maddox can't help but wish that he deserved to be happy, too.

I enjoyed this story although I did feel that the anger from Knives went a little too far. There was so much passion from them both I can understand how they were made to work together. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Unfettered Siren

Unfettered Siren by S. Rodman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Blue is a a broken mess. He hides at the bottom of his pool. Human Sammy seems sweet. He has been used and abused too. A fellow survivor. So Blue is not scared of him.
But when he carelessly falls into his pool and Blue saves him from drowning, he is not at all happy about the mate bond it creates. He has to find a way to undo it as he is not fit to be anyone's mate. He is pathetic, and the thought of intimacy repulses him. While Sammy is a cheerful, bright ball of sunshine despite everything that has been done to him. Blue will find a way to fix this, and then we will both be free.

I enjoyed the story with the accident, trying to fix it then changing their minds. Blue was a complex character after everything that was done to him. Sammy had his own demons which made them perfect for each other. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Unfettered Demon by S. Rodman 4 of 5 stars

Unfettered Demon

Unfettered Demon by S. Rodman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

For a hundred years, Grey has been chained to a bed and used by humans. A pathetic, broken excuse for a demon - an incubus who is lost. All he knows is fear. He drifts, dreams and dissociates. .He barely remembers being kept in a billionaire’s harem, hardly recalls these paranormal boys who call me their friend. They say we are free now but he's not so sure. His new keeper is called Mal. He is handsome and dangerous. He feeds Grey well and pulls him back to reality. He is stern and dominating, and Grey likes it - surrendering to his will would be so easy. But Grey doesn’t trust, can’t trust - that part of him has been shattered into a thousand pieces. Is Mal strong enough to hold him so tight that all his jagged parts fit back together? Or is he his final destruction?

This was a good read as Mal fought to bring Grey back and feed him enough that he could thrive while learning to live a more "normal" life. I loved some of the ingenious ways that Mal found to feed Grey without adding to his trauma. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with nature content.

Review: Unfettered Kelpie by S. Rodman 4 of 5 stars

Unfettered Kelpie

Unfettered Kelpie by S. Rodman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kelpie Lello was imprisoned in a billionaire’s harem, the piece of work bit him, forcing a mating bond and making the kelpie believe he was in love. The enslaver had to die, and now the kelpie is dying too. The only thing that can save him is a new mate. Except he won’t want one. Carter will have to do something against his beliefs and force his mark on him. Then the kelpie mating magic will do its thing and he will become devoted to him. He will think Carter is the one he loves. Brodie says that Lello is adorable. Kind, sweet. Sunshine personified. Gorgeous as well.

I enjoyed this story as Carter hated himself for forcing himself on Lelo to save him. The angst did gat a bit much at times and I did feel so desperately sorry for Lello at times as his mate appeared quite pathetic at times. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

My [Not So] Straight Professor

My [Not So] Straight Professor by D.K. Sutton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Dr. Joshua Hamlin considers himself straight. But a persistent student, too much tequila, and a flash of red satin panties have him questioning everything he's ever believed about himself. Atticus is always crushing on the wrong guy. First, it was his roommate. Then his yummy but straight and married drama professor. It turns out Professor Hamlin isn't as straight or married as he thinks. As things heat up between them they realise someone doesn't want them together and will do anything to make their point. Can Atticus and his professor find true love or will their need to be together cost them everything?

I found this one a bit silly with the married but not married, the crazy cop, and the strange tequila nights. Easy to read and understand, this stretched my imagination just a little too far. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: My [Not So] Grumpy Professor by D.K. Sutton 4 of 5 stars

My [Not So] Grumpy Professor

My [Not So] Grumpy Professor by D.K. Sutton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Professor Gabriel Morgan is in southern Missouri for one reason: to repair his relationship with his brother. It is not to make friends or coddle the teaching assistants the university throws at him. Benjamin Carter is young, barely competent, and more trouble than he’s worth. He’s also fun, charming and stunningly beautiful. Gabriel’s goal of getting Benji to quit isn’t as easy as he expects. Instead of cowering, Benji either tells Gabriel exactly what he thinks or, worse still, flirts outrageously. It’s maddening and so very tempting. They’re both holding on to their secrets—Benji’s present and Gabriel’s past. But these things have a way of coming out. Is this thing between them real? And are they willing to risk everything to find out?

This was a sweet story of a grumpy professor and his TA who might fight it but are falling for each other. I loved how grumpy Gabriel was and it just added to Benji's attraction to him. A fun read that made me laugh at times. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Unfettered Omega

Unfettered Omega by S. Rodman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A new healer arrived and Red can't help wondering if he is there to rescue them or use them.  ‘Ritchie’s Rainbow’, is a billionaire's harem of supernatural sex slaves. Each of us are named and dressed in a different colour. Red, Blue, Jade, Gray, Pink, Yellow and Indigo. He's been called Red for so long, he can barely remember his real name. A vampire, siren, fey, demon, vessel, kelpie and Red, a wolf shifter. All imprisoned for the pleasure of a wealthy human, to use for himself and to lend to his friends. Red takes care of the other boys the best he can, they are brothers to him and it’s in his omega nature to be nurturing. But it is hard when we are all suffering so much.m But Brodie, the new healer, seems kind under his gruff exterior. Red sees something in his eyes. Something that gives him hope. Or will Red finally find freedom? Finally become unfettered?

This was a good start to the series and also a great story covering the relationship between Red and Brodie. Richie really was a bad man so it was great to see him to free them all. A lot of thoughts and feelings in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

My [Not So] Slutty Professor

My [Not So] Slutty Professor by D.K. Sutton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Maddie is a sucker for nerds. So a biology professor who wears geeky ties and doesn't realise how hot he is puts every part of his body on high alert. It also means he's failing his class. He needs to get him out of his head so he can focus. Dr. Reid Emerson is a genius but there are many things he's never learned. His eagerness to catch up takes my breath away. Will he let Maddie be the one to teach him? Maddie Evans reminds Reid of every popular guy he's ever known: charming, persuasive, and used to getting exactly what he wants. But there’s a part of Reid that doesn't care. A flash of skin during our study sessions sparks a fire he can’t put out.

I loved this story which had plenty of emotions and feelings but also at times made me laugh. I liked that they were careful to protect Maddie's education as well as Reid's career. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Zach Goes Off Trail

Zach Goes Off Trail by Alex Blaine
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When Devin’s car, which doubles as his house, is towed while he's applying for jobs at the Santa Fe Regional Airport, he officially hits rock bottom. His only option for survival is to reach his brother’s house outside of Albuquerque. But without wheels, he's facing a long, multiday hike unless he can hitch a ride. Zach is finally settled into his new home, but it doesn't feel like home quite yet. Moving across three states to take over management of the regional office felt like an honour he couldn't refuse, but since arriving in Santa Fe, he's been lonely and miserable. He joined The Lactin Brotherhood to meet guys like himself, but he hasn't had a chance to attend any meetings yet, so he's still riding solo whenever he’s not at work. When Zach decides to spend his Saturday hiking through El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro National Historic Trail, he doesn't plan well and his water quickly disappears in the heat. Stumbling upon an almost unconscious hiker on a remote trail, Zach knows the odds of reviving the dehydrated guy are low, but he's determined to try. It’s in his nature to take care of others and going off trail is just the detour he might need in his life.

This was a sweet story about kindness and helping those less fortunate as well as a love story between two men. This was easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and male lactation.

Review: Learning to Change by M.A. Innes 4 of 5 stars

Learning to Change

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dean thinks that it is the neighbours’ fault. All of it. Well, not the booze but everything else that lead up to the weird we're going to figure this out exploration is definitely the neighbours’ fault. Dean’s starting to realise he’s not as nervous about their new adventure as he should be but that doesn't mean he hasn't found plenty to worry about. With his roommates and best friends, there’s always something to worry about. Joel thinks that they have the best neighbours, but they've left Joel with more than a few questions. Why do people submit? Why don’t more people like humiliation? Why has it taken him so long to figure out how much he likes his roommates? Yes, Joel has questions, but he’s not going to let that stop him from diving into all kinds of fun. Tate thinks that they are adorably insane, but Tate wouldn't change his best friends for anything. He also can’t deny them much, so no one is surprised when he dives right in to answering Joel’s questions and helping Dean to figure out that caretaking comes in all kinds of interesting packages. New questions might bring curious changes, but he knows he’s the Dom for the job. When three best friends sit down with questions and fruity drinks, it'll take more than second-guessing and alcohol to keep them from lending a helping hand and sharing their passion-filled hearts.

This was an interesting discussion followed by a fun change to their relationship as the roommates and friends explore what they really want in the future. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s and DDLB dynamics.

Review: The Cowboy and the Hoodlum by Jackie North 3 of 5 stars

The Cowboy and the Hoodlum

The Cowboy and the Hoodlum by Jackie North
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A job in the valley provides the break Royce so desperately needs from his regular life. Fresh air, plenty of sunshine, and hard work? That’s the ticket. Evenings around a campfire? Sign him up. But when a new group of ex-cons arrives, ex-cons he’s responsible for, Royce realises he is woefully unprepared. Not for the task of being team lead, he’s fully capable of that. No, it’s the bad in one particular bad boy that he is drawn to. The challenging mind beneath that messy dark hair, the slouch, and the long legs in grease-stained blue jeans and disreputable black motorcycle boots. It’s more than Royce is prepared to resist. The bad boy in question, Jonah, has a telling I don’t care shrug that reveals a heart-stopping vulnerability and now all is lost as Royce falls hopelessly in love.

This was a nice story but I found myself increasingly annoyed with both men. Jonah was very confusing with his relationship with his best friend (or was he) and the so-called bi-awakening of Royce which was almost bypassed. So I wanted to like it much more than I actually did. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Sweetheart by Athena Steller 4 of 5 stars

Sweetheart

Sweetheart by Athena Steller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Levi
He left behind his clutch, his parents, and siblings for the chance of finding his mate. The person who was meant to be just for him. The perfect match promised by the fates for the chosen ones. Finding his mate nearly brought Levi to his knees with happiness. Mason, a park ranger, was everything he could have ever wanted as a partner. As his boy. Except Levi wasn’t used to talking to people, especially humans like Mason. What started as an attempt to connect through a dating app had led to Mason turning Levi away. Struggling, Levi tries to forget his dreams and leave Mason in peace but the fates have other ideas.

Mason
Running and hiding were two things Mason knows how to do well. He’d been born to a monster that had taught Mason and his twin to hunt and destroy those in the paranormal world, but Mason figured out the human that raised him was the real monster and he’d wanted no part of killing anyone. He’d found a home, a job, friends but he was still missing the connection that he craved. Mason had thought he’d met the man of his dreams through a dating app, but the man refused to meet him. After a night of too much alcohol and loneliness, Mason made a huge mistake. He had to put that man out of his mind though. His survival depended on Mason keeping himself safe. Out of the hands of his father. Mason believed he’d gotten away but when the past comes for him, he has to turn to the men that live five miles from the state park and might have their own secrets. One of the men that Mason can’t stop thinking about…until he realizes he knows that firm strong chest. Fate doesn’t like to be ignored. Levi and Mason are about to learn that no matter how many obstacles are in their path, what is meant to be will be. Danger is around the corner and only the strong will survive.

I enjoyed this story with the mates who didn't have the easiest start to their relationship even before family got involved. I was sad to realise that this was the last book in the series. Lots of emotions and feelings in this book. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Reid's Lost Cap

Reid's Lost Cap by Della Cain by Katea Kat
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When Reid inherited his house, he doesn’t expect any feelings as the house belonged to an uncle he’d met exactly one time over twenty years ago. But when he opens the door to the spare bedroom, he's hit with a time capsule, one that teaches him more about his late mother than he'd ever known. There’s even a baseball cap she bought for him when she was pregnant. It’s almost too much and he needs to escape for a little while. Thankfully, his membership at Chained is reciprocal with the local club here. He’ll go, find a daddy to scene with, and be ready to face reality in the morning. If only it were as easy as that.

This was a sweet story as Reid found the Daddy of his dreams thanks to losing his special cap. I loved their relationship and the way that Kevin cared for Reid making sure that he could cope with all the clearing out and memories. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

The Cowboy and the Rascal

The Cowboy and the Rascal by Jackie North
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

First, you have to trust. Then comes trust in return. Then comes love. Gabe’s working hard to save up to buy his own cattle ranch. That dream is years in the future, but he’s a patient man. For now, he’ll be the first team lead in the valley’s ex-con rehab project. The idea is, put a parolee to work for a summer and he’ll have a leg up on the rest of his life. Blaze, who’s just been released from prison after serving two years for a crime he did not commit, is among the first group of parolees to enter the program. Nobody believes he’s innocent, including Gabe. After all, all ex-cons are just liars, right?

Review: Nate by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Nate

Nate by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nate is pulled into a mission to rescue a kidnapped woman, being held in Paris. But a normal mission versus one run by Terkel is a whole different story. Nate’s first telepathic communication tells him that this will be like nothing else in his life. During a layover in Paris, while traveling to start a job in Africa with Bullard, Madeline awoke, tied up in a strange hotel room with another female captive, named Anna. Nate comes to the rescue and shares how he had been called in to locate Madeline, when she didn’t arrive as planned. Yet she wonders if she can trust him, especially when she has no recollection of who kidnapped her in the first place. When Anna disappears again, Madeline’s even more worried. What are the chances the kidnappers are looking for round two with Madeline as well?

This was an interesting mystery with the local police being unhelpful. I did lose my patience with Madeline and her weird determination to make people around her happy. It was great to see a different psychic skill to the usual. Easy to read, feel and understand. This story had a little mature content at the very end.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Adam is beyond thrilled at finding his mate. Living in the Hell realm will take some getting used to but at least he has friends close by. His big mate is perfect, Adam loves his minions, but Hell is missing color, laughter, and love, and Adam can’t let that stand. Finding his place in Hell is easier than Adam expected but trying to change the old ways of demons will take his mate, friends, family, and maybe a little visit from Lucifer. Demon Mal had given up ever finding his soulmate. As Master of punishment of the Hell realm, Mal is the top demon. Adam leaping into his arms is a dream come true. Adam has the biggest heart of anyone Mal has ever met. Not only does he light up Mal’s world, but Adam is taking on the tasks of protecting the lower-ranking demons.
Not every demon in the Hell realm approves of the changes Adam is making but Mal supports his mate one hundred percent. It’s time to remind the realm who is the biggest and most powerful demon around.

I really enjoyed this story with Adam who was determined to bring colour to Mel's life as well as make improvements to the lives of the lesser demons. Arlo: An MM Age Play Daddy Romance

Arlo: An MM Age Play Daddy Romance by HJ Welch
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Since a knee injury forced Thomas into early retirement from pro hockey, he's spent all his time dedicated to charities helping under privileged children. The press and his fans would never understand his private life, but he'd love nothing more than to be Daddy to a sweet baby boy. The most he can hope for is a vacation fling at a kinky retreat. However, before he even arrives in Bali, he already finds himself sweeping in to take care of one Arlington Hythe-Wandsworth. He’s hopeless…and perfect. But we live an ocean apart and both of us would be ruined if our secrets came out. Okay so calling Arlo ‘clueless’ might be putting it mildly. As the heir to his affluent family’s name and business, he's led a sheltered, privileged life. So it’s no surprise that when he sneaks away on his first solo trip, he almost immediately gets robbed. It could have been so much worse if his new friend Thomas hadn’t been there to save him, though! However, the more time we spend together, the harder it is for Arlo to see who could possibly be a better Daddy than Thomas. He's not sure what he can do before he loses him forever.

This was a nice age play story as Arlo found his perfect Daddy and managed to escape the confines of his family and their expectations. It was great that they found each other so quickly. A very sweet story with a happy ending. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

There’s no playbook for that. Even though it’s uncharted territory, Ford and Boston are secretly committed to each other. Runaway Prince

Runaway Prince by D.K. Sutton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

As a European prince, Adrian should want for nothing, right? I have money, power, prestige. But what about love and passion? Acceptance? Running to America on the eve of his wedding isn’t the responsible thing to do. While hiding from his protection detail in a Burger King, he met Isaac and his son Simon. This protective father interrupts me, calls me a menace, and doesn’t believe he's a prince. He's instantly smitten.  But Isaac has his own responsibilities and our chance meeting complicates his life in ways Adrian couldn’t have imagined. As they work together to mitigate the damage, Adrian falls even harder for this amazing man. How can this work when we live in different countries? Will Isaac lose the person he cares about most? Will Adrian's country accept a gay future king? Adrian doesn't know what happens next, but he knows he can’t face it without Isaac by his side.

Owen loves taking care of Dean and the kids, but he's broken the manny’s cardinal rule: No falling for the father. Especially a straight one. The Marriage Secret

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Scotty is What Maxwell Prescott's friends call him but it has been a very long time since he's seen them. Working a low salary, dead-end job in his father's company was not how he saw his life going when he was at the university, but it wasn't like he had a choice. His stepmother controlled every aspect of his life. When an incredibly sexy bartender called Beck stumbled into his life, he wanted one thing that his stepmother didn't control. His stepmother had other plans. She'd handpicked his bride, and it wasn't Beck. He has to do something to escape this money-grubbing witch, and he knows just the people to call. Scotty walking into Beck's life had been a surprise, and a wonderful one. He could easily see himself spending the rest of his life with him. Hiding their relationship from everyone is their only choice. The only way that Scotty can see his father once a week is if he stays under his stepmother's control. That choice gets a whole lot harder when Scotty suddenly becomes engaged, and not to Beck. Instead of being heartbroken, He decides to do everything within his power to help Scotty escape, but the plan they devise comes with danger, to Beck, to Scotty, and to his stroke-ridden father. If they fail, none of them will get out of this alive.

I loved this story with the two men battling to stay together while also saving Scotty's father and all escaping the evil stepmother. Forever With His Boss

Forever With His Boss by Rheland Richmond
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ford broke the rules and fell for his boss. Hard. All that time stranded together over Christmas, who could blame him? And maybe it was the magic of sleigh rides and kisses under the mistletoe, but... Sawyer fell for him too. Or, heck, maybe not. Because now that Sawyer had been called back to NYC, he'd gone radio silent. He was only supposed to be gone ten days, but now it's been a month and Ford is losing his cool. Would it be too crazy to hop a plane and go looking for him? But what Ford finds when he gets there only deepens his confusion, because his boss is holding a toddler and suddenly everything Ford had thought about his boss makes him question if he even knows the man he’s fallen for. Has Sawyer been leading a double-life this whole time and he's just too lovestruck to notice?

I loved this story and the way that the two men came together and cared for the children that Sawyer had inherited. Through it all they didn't lose their love for each other and there were only a few communication issues. I loved that they came together as a family. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Stranded with His Boss by Rheland Richmond 3 of 5 stars

Stranded with His Boss

Stranded with His Boss by Rheland Richmond
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ford Erickson didn't plan to take his hot, and very rich boss home for Christmas. But when an incoming snowstorm grounds flights and there are no vacancies in the small town of Amber Falls, Ford finds himself in close quarters with the aloof man he’s been lusting over. A family Christmas in a small town was not how Sawyer Lancaster expected his holiday to go and his plans definitely hadn’t included his adorable assistant and his lovely parents welcoming him into their home. More like a holiday in his cold apartment… alone. But then again, the best gifts don’t always come wrapped in pretty bows. When the weather clears, will Sawyer find to the courage to accept that maybe, just maybe, he’s found the perfect gift in Ford?

This was a sweet story of how a boss and his assistant spent Christmas together and found love. Ford's parents were adorable and I loved their unsubtle hints. Ford and Sawyer were a great couple and they did great with their physical relationship but I do wonder if they can withstand anything in the future. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Ineligible Receiver by Rheland Richmond by Emerson Beckett 5 of 5 stars

Ineligible Receiver

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When Cooper met Greg Foster, the straight tight end for the Portland Pirates, the rookie needed a friend to bring him out of his shell. There was more to the shy twenty-two-year-old bookworm than met the eye, and he was the perfect person for the task. His roommate and best friend, Christian, was involved with the Pirates QB, so a new friend to hang out with was good. He pushed down his attraction to him and became the best friend he ever had. We bar-hopped all over Portland and played video games in our apartments. We even loved the same indy band from Seattle. Then they fucked up when they fell in love. And by fucked up, I mean they got married even though they knew their marriage had to remain a secret. No one knew about us. Not even our closest friends. And every time they asked, we gave them the same line - we're just friends. And ultimately, the reason for that secret would tear them apart. Now, here Cooper was three years after meeting him, and wasn’t sure how to survive without him. He was the love of his life, and he was his.

OMG this story was so emotional and you will cry a lot reading this. I was torn between hugging them or knocking their heads together. There was so much love and passion between these two men. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Roughing the Kicker by Emerson Beckett by Rheland Richmond 4 of 5 stars

Roughing the Kicker

Roughing the Kicker by Emerson Beckett by Rheland Richmond
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Friends asked Dominic to share it room with Jesse. What his friend’s don’t know is Jesse and him met in Madrid and had the best weekend of his life. They connected, but the timing was off. He went back to America, Dominic went back to Italy. Now, three years later, Dominic is the new kicker for the Portland Pirates, and Jesse is moving his security firm to my city. Would he remember him? Did that weekend mean as much to him as it did to Dominic? Will sparks fly again, or was that weekend just a fling? Only one way to find out.

I loved the passion between these two men and their relationship which was just as caring and passionate as you would expect. It was emotional at times so be prepared to cry at times. It was great to catch up with the other players, their husbands and children. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Illegal Motion by Rheland Richmond by Emerson Beckett 4 of 5 stars

Illegal Motion

Illegal Motion by Rheland Richmond by  Emerson Beckett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Callum has built his life around his work as a vet, managing his equine rescue, and spending time with his friends. But one thing he never expected? Having the world's biggest asshole re-enter his life. His face haunted Callum's dreams and the memory of how he worked his body over was impossible to shake. Then the infamous Declan Miller, the new free-agent running back, has signed a one-year deal with the Portland Pirates. Now, Callum's life is turned upside down as Declan reappears, thrusting his unforgettable self back into his world. Declan met Callum in Alejandro’s Bar one night in late July, meeting someone was the last thing on his mind. But the sexy guy with wavy dark blond hair and hazel-green eyes caught his attention immediately. After a night of the best sex of his life, he knew he had to push him away. He wasn’t doing relationships anymore, and this gorgeous, funny man had the power to break him. But fate has a twisted sense of humour. Turns out, Declan's unforgettable hookup is part of his new friend group. Dr. Callum Kennedy wants nothing to do with him until he has no choice but to let me help.

This was a story full of passion as the line between love and hate are not that far apart. I loved these two men and that Declan was quite happy to throw his time, skills and money to win Callum over. As usual other team members and their husbands were involved in bringing the two men together. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Enemy Mine by Davidson King 4 of 5 stars

Enemy Mine

Enemy Mine by Davidson King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fred Brennan’s father was a brutal man, both professionally and personally. When the kingpin died a few years ago, Fred welcomed it, but not the brutal role he was thrust into. As a successful doctor, he’s devoted his life to helping people in a career he loves. The last thing he wants is to continue to fill his father’s shoes as head of the Irish Mafia, but after three years, he’s no closer to offloading his dad’s title onto someone else. As a mafia boss, he’s forced to deal with the elite assassin organization, Lex Talionis bringing him face to face with the infuriating man who runs it. As head of Lex Talionis, secrecy is vital to Vincenzo Belini and his organization. Nothing could coax him into the light to reveal himself to Fred. That is until dangerous adversaries emerge from the shadows, all vying for Fred’s life. Vincenzo knows the enemy is closer than Fred realizes. He just has to convince Fred he’s not one of them because for as much of a pain Fred can be, Vincenzo is exactly the right man to keep him focused both in and out of the bedroom. Someone is threatening Fred’s throne, power, and all the responsibilities that come with the title. Despite Fred not wanting any of these things, he can’t let them fall into the wrong hands. Can he rely on Vincenzo to help take down the growing enemy and give Fred the happy ending he’s always wanted?

I loved this spin-off series and the whole plot of this dramatic story where it was hard to work out who to trust. The story was full of passion, betrayal and at times joy. I loved Fred and Vin who were such a great couple. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Pass Interference by Rheland Richmond by Emerson Beckett 4 of 5 stars

Pass Interference

Pass Interference by Rheland Richmond by Emerson Beckett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ten years. It's been ten years since Marcus Monroe walked out of Aidan's life. Now he’s back as my brother’s #1 wide receiver. And he wants me back. We’ll see about that. Ten Years. It's been ten years since Marcus made the biggest mistake of his life. He let him go, and he regrets it every single day. He's been traded to the Portland Pirates, and his brother is my new quarterback. He'll stop at nothing to get him back. This time, there will be no interference.

I really enjoyed this story with the two men who loved each other but were apart for years because one took some very bad advice. I loved Aidan's determination to not fold easily and Marcus's determination to win him back. So much passion and love in this story which were clear in the writing. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: The Quarterback Keeper by Rheland Richmond by Emerson Beckett 4 of 5 stars

The Quarterback Keeper

The Quarterback Keeper by Rheland Richmond by Emerson Beckett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Christian just thinks he met a single dad of two at Cannon Beach but he was actually Alex Hayes, the NFL quarterback of the Portland Pirates . The dad he schools on the pleasures of how to love another man. He re-awakens his dormant bisexual side that he'd never had a chance to really explore. Their connection is strong and by the time the week alone is up, Alex wants more with him. Until Alex's reality invades their bubble and he has to break his heart. And his own. But Christian is a keeper, and he'll do whatever it takes to win the football hating hottie back. Even if it means playing dirty.

I loved this story as the quarterback does every thing he can to win his son's schoolteacher over until he was his again. I loved their relationship and the deep love that they shared. Christian has such a beautiful soul. This story was full of passion and emotions that were easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Zapped in the Zinnias by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Zapped in the Zinnias

Zapped in the Zinnias by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

With Mathew’s murder done and dusted, and her future now wide open, Doreen turns to sorting out her financial world, particularly as her antiques are sold. And helping others is moving up her list of things she wants to do. Especially after finding a young woman who wants to get out of the streetwalker world and move back home. Of course, a decision like that doesn’t come without strings, and Doreen and her animals are soon embroiled in pimps and madams. A world she knows nothing about but is quickly learning. Mix that up with Nan getting kidnapped, only to bail her kidnapper out of jail, and Doreen’s world is chaos as usual. Corporal Mack Moreau has a plan, but implementing that plan requires a special moment - the right moment. And trying to figure out when and what that moment looks like is a challenge. Especially as it involves Doreen.

This was an interesting read as it wasn't the usual kind of case for Doreen as a cold case was there, but there were also a lot of present-day problems. I enjoyed this change of subject area although the thought of Nan being kidnapped was a bit distressing as she is such a nice lady. Easy to read, feel and understand I was just a little disappointed in the level of progress Doreen and Mack made with their relationship.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Review: Humility by Lark Taylor 5 of 5 stars

Humility

Humility by Lark Taylor
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Riley is a commitment phobe and a no strings hookup with sexy fireman and wolf shifter seems perfect. Then they become friends which was perfect until Riley wantef more from Danny.so he signs up for an app that arranges anonymous encounters. No names. No faces shown. No danger of pesky feelings getting involved. What could possibly go wrong? Danny can't take a mate because it would mean returning to the clan who betrayed him. I’d have to leave behind this life I’ve built, a life I’m very happy with. One where Riley occupies most of my free time. Riley is determined to use the app and so Danny's wolf insists that he be his anonymous hookup. It’s idiot-proof. At least, it would be, if Danny wasn’t an idiot. Turns out Riley isn’t the only one who should be scared of hooking up and realising you want more.

I adored this story with the hookup that turned to friendship and then something that was so much more. I loved their relationship which grew with them to be what they needed it to be. The descriptions of wolf pack area and members was detailed and their motivations was clear and easy to understand. This was an MM story with mature content. I was crushed to realise that this was the last book in the series.
