Review: Wolf by Kate Oliver 3 of 5 stars

Wolf (Daddies of the Shadows #4)

Wolf by Kate Oliver
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Lucy thought her life couldn't get worse - she had been beaten and robbed of her last few possessions and was now trying to sleep alone at a dark and scary construction site. All she wanted was a normal life with a future - maybe one day. Wolf might look like a monster especially when it comes to protecting those he cares about. He is all heart and needs someone to look past his scary exterior and crave the love and protection he can provide but he knows that the darkness inside him stops that from being a possibility and so he just has to watch and be envious of his brothers and their Littles. Can two people from tragic backgrounds come together and teach each other how to really live again?

This was a sweet story with a nice Christmas focus too involving all of the Daddies and their littles. I loved the deep introspection that Wolf went through and the fact that he was pulled out of that by and for Lucy. There were some dangerous and dramatic moments but thankfully there were no serious injuries. Easy to read and understand. The emotional side of things was well written. This story contains mature content involving a BDSM DDLG relationship.

Review: Ruby's Forever Daddies by Kate Oliver 3 of 5 stars

Ruby's Forever Daddies (West Coast Daddies #6)

Ruby's Forever Daddies by Kate Oliver
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ruby has been called a lot of things - a brat, too emotional, too needy and so she has given up on ever meeting anyone who would stick around. She has not given up on being a Little. When she discovers a club in her city where she can be Little without a Daddy she is thrilled until her desire to be a brat and push buttons brings her to the attention of the stern owners of the club. Maybe Ruby has met the two Daddies who won't give up on her? Jace and Zane know what it is - yes they own a blub that caters for Littles and Daddies and yes they have each other (after all they have been best friends since childhood), but they are missing a Little of their own to love, care for and discipline. Will they ever find someone who needs not just one, but two overprotective Daddies?

I was torn by this book - yes Ruby was a brat mostly due to her upbringing, but it was almost too much at times. I did love the contrast between the two styles of the friends and Daddies and how well they complimented each other. This was clearly written and easy to read and understand. Contains mature content of an MFM BDSM DDLG relationship.

Review: Trusting Her Daddy by Kate Oliver 3 of 5 stars

Trusting Her Daddy (West Coast Daddies #5)

Trusting Her Daddy by Kate Oliver
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Top-tier makeup artist Carly Sterling's brother believes she is in serious danger and so to please him she accepts the services of Damian Scott as her bodyguard, but she thinks he is the bossiest and has a controlling and overbearing self. He insists that she is a Little but she is in denial however he knows that even though she is a stubborn and mouthy brat she is also the one for him - he just needs to convince her. Carly has learned that it's not safe to show the hidden parts of herself - it always ends badly. Can she learn to trust Damian, not only to protect her but to care for her and love her?

I enjoyed this story with the stubborn and determined Carly and the tolerant but firm Damian they were definitely a match made in heaven. I loved the way that he and his staff were determined to keep her safe even though she still didn't appreciate the danger that she was in. A lovely ending to the story where she finally got everything. and appreciated what she was and had. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content of a BDSM DDLG nature.

Review: Safe with Daddy by Kate Oliver 3 of 5 stars

Safe with Daddy (West Coast Daddies #4)

Safe with Daddy by Kate Oliver
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Sean Corbin is still looking for his perfect Little - someone who will blossom and thrive under his careful nurturing while also being firm when he has to correct behaviour. Little Gabby Ellis came to Seattle to find something that might not exist. But when it is discovered that he is living in her car Sean is called on to offer the shy and anxious woman a safe place to stay. As Gabby grows closer to Sean she begins to wonder if everything is too good to be true as she knows that monsters don't always look like the monsters that they are. Can Sean teach her how to trust and allow him to take care of her in all of the ways that she needs? Will she find everything that she came to find or will she get much more than she came to search for?

I liked this story with the gentle Sean and the frighted and damaged Gabby. It was great to see them get through all of the problems and to see Sean do everything that he did in order to make her happy and improve the quality of her life. I loved seeing all of the friends that she had and that she really wasn't as alone as she often felt. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content and a BDSM-DDLG relationship.

Review: Maddie's Daddy Crush by Kate Oliver 3 of 5 stars

Maddie's Daddy Crush (West Coast Daddies #3)

Maddie's Daddy Crush by Kate Oliver
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Maddie Michaels had a sheltered life after her mother died at a young age and so was used to living with her brother and his best friend Ian Jacobs. When tragedy struck she was devastated but went on autopilot to the only person left who she can rely on (who she is also madly in love with) - Ian. Ian has had a great life with a successful carer, more money than he needs, his best friend and his sister Maddie (who he wants but thinks he cannot have her). Now she lives with him and it is pure torture as his Daddy wants her just as much as he does - but she is still off limits. Will they be able to put aside their worries and realise how perfect they are for each other, or will Ian push her away into the arms of another man so that he doesn’t betray his best friend?

I loved this story with the brother's best friend torturing himself for wanting Maddie and convincing himself that he couldn't have her - the longing in Ian's house between the two of them must have been painful. I was thrilled when the corner was turned and they realised that life could be perfect if only they pushed aside any imaginary barriers. Easy to read, feel and understand. Contains mature content with a BDSM DDLG relationship.

Review: Haylee's Hero Daddy by Kate Oliver 3 of 5 stars

Haylee's Hero Daddy (West Coast Daddies #2)

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Haylee needs to get away from her abusive boyfriend and has a plan to pack while he is at work and leave before he gets home but it all went wrong. She cannot accept help from the frightening and bossy man her friends sent to help her but maybe Kane is her knight in shining armour. Kane really wanted to be her protector and guard her with his life, but would she embrace the Little side of herself and also let him be her Daddy?

I enjoyed the story with the fierce need to protect her as well as the need to be her Daddy. I thought Kane was really good at protecting her although I did find her discovery of her little age a bit bizarre as she played with toys and sucked a pacifier but was old enough to do a number of things herself like using a toilet. I loved the ending where the bed guy was found. Easy to read and understand Contains mature content with a BDSM DDLG relationship.

Review: Ally's Christmas Daddy by Kate Oliver 3 of 5 stars

Ally's Christmas Daddy (West Coast Daddies #1)

Ally's Christmas Daddy by Kate Oliver
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ally's car wouldn't start and her phone was flat and so she started to walk home in the snow. Then a knight in shining armour in the form of sheriff Luke arrives in his police SUV. Luke's last relationship crashed and burned and he was not looking for a new little girl but when he saw Ally he just knew that she was a little and that she desperately needed someone to take her in hand. Can he do what it takes to keep her safe whether she likes it or not and can he help her to believe in the magic of Christmas again?

I enjoyed this story with the stubborn Little in Ally and the Daddy in Luke who was hesitant but was soon all in. Their story was very endearing and I loved the way that they were able to revive the Christmas spirit together. It was great the way that he did his best to go slowly and to get her to really understand what he wanted to happen between them. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content and a BDSM-DDLG relationship.

Review: Beau by Kate Oliver 3 of 5 stars

Beau (Daddies of the Shadows #3)

Beau by Kate Oliver
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When the law is not enough to protect the vulnerable someone has to step in and it isn't always legal. This is the brotherhood that is known as the Shadows. Seven years ago Beau had saved Emma from an attack where he had killed her assailant. She had never forgotten him and was ready to thank him in person but what she wasn't expecting was how her body reacted to his dominant personality which made her feel so safe. When Emma walked into Beau's gym he recognised her at once and not a day had gone by when he hadn't wondered if she was alright. She is now an adult and everything made his protective Daddy instincts come to life and he knew that the little girl he had been looking for had found him. Can he convince her that he was the Daddy she so badly needs?

I really enjoyed this book with the time lag between their first meeting and this new one and how they both continued to think about each other. I also love the family dynamic in this series where the brothers stick together and will protect the women no matter what happens. It is wonderful to see such strong and at times violent men are so gentle and caring which I think balances them overall. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content of a BDSM DDLG style.

Review: Ash by Kate Oliver 3 of 5 stars

Ash (Daddies of the Shadows #2)

Ash by Kate Oliver
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When the law is not enough to protect the vulnerable someone has to step in and it isn't always legal. This is the brotherhood that is known as the Shadows. Ash had saved Kylie in High school from a bully who had cornered her at a party where he had called her Little Girl and threatened to spank her if she wasn't more careful. She was a dorky girl with glasses and braces and he was her secret crush and she still fantasized about being over his knee. Ash was a "bad boy" and the label still fit but now he only did bad things to those who need his protection. He had been called Daddy many times over the years but no one affected him like the girl who was in front of him drunk in a club who had just told him that she had fantasized about him since high school.

I loved this story with Ash feeling he wasn't worthy of her and her still focused on him after all of these years. It was great to see they find happiness together and that Ash could protect her from putting herself in harm's way. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content featuring a relationship of the BDSM DDLG nature.

Review: Knox by Kate Oliver 4 of 5 stars

Knox (Daddies of the Shadows #1)

Knox by Kate Oliver
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When the law is not enough to protect the vulnerable someone has to step in and it isn't always legal. This is the brotherhood that is known as the Shadows. When Addison went into Knox's gun shop to buy a gun he knew she was in trouble but what he didn't expect what for his Daddy's senses to go high gear and that she was a Little. For Addison life was going great until she got a call that her past was coming back to haunt her and although she is not happy about it, she may have to accept help from Knox as he says he will protect her and she needs all the help she can get.

I really liked this story which was a great introduction to the Shadows and it had a very protective Daddy ging everything he could do to protect his Little. There was plenty of drama, danger and some violence in this book, but there were also a lot of tender moments that outweighed the bad. Easy to read and understand, this book contained mature content of a BDSM nature with a DDLG relationship.
