Human Liara taught school when the King (Kravath) demands that she looks after as a Nanny his late brother's three children who he has inherited. What follows are her befriending and teaching the children and Kravath spending time with them and being fascinated with her. It turns out they are fated mates but it is not easy and they all face challenges and adjustments in order to find a way forward.

It was a pleasant read but it was a bit fast and their relationship was more than a little odd at the start as he was definitely a bully who was used to having his way. Thankfully by the end, they had found a way forward and I believe she would make him a better king due to his lack of tension and anger. I did enjoy it but it was a little uncomfortable in places. Easy to understand. I loved the three children and their relationship with both of the adults. Contains some mature content.

Izzy and City were childhood best friends but she chose his friend and so to avoid the pain of watching them while loving her he left and went to New Orleans. Now she is back and needs his help to protect her from bad guys that the man she chose has pissed off. So he just can't turn her away and turn down her request for protection - the problem is his feelings for her have never changed and as she is there with City can he betray his friend and act on his feelings?

Wow - sexual tension is off the charts in this story which started with them both torturing each other with all of the oppressed feelings, then tentative moves towards an accord between them, then the chaos of an unfortunate incident that just blew every piece of progress that had been made out of the water. I was so rooting for City and hoping against hope that everything was resolved and that he would get the HEA that he justly deserved. Contains mature content and the hoped-for HEA.
