Hudson Grant owns and runs the bar and employs the son of Anna Charlotte. She stormed into his bar demanding answers from him and after that, he just couldn't get her out of his mind even though she just did not stop complaining to the point that he had to try something just to shut her up - and it worked a treat. Anna had trust issues and everyone in her life had taught her that she would be let down. It didn't matter that her son's grades had improved since he started working for Hudson and that he was starting to take responsibility at home for things. She knew that men would take what they wanted and then break her heart and that was not going to happen this time.
Wow - they were explosive together. The passionate and firey Anna and the calm and supportive Hudson were the perfect combination if only they would stop being angry with each other. I loved the way that their friends could see how they were perfect for each other and were both subtle (and not) to push them together whenever they were apart. This book had a HEA at the end. Easy to read and understand, it does contain some mature content. A perfect partner for the patient Hudson.
