Club Royal is a BDSM club where you can safely explore your darkest desires. Douglas is a spare heir and struggles with the restrictions placed on his activities where he wants to lose himself in someone else, but people are only out for what they can get from him including membership in Club Royal. Maverick is Douglas's social media manager which was given to him as a punishment for showing up his boss two years ago and although he has tried hard he cannot get a transfer, although as he is damn good at his job that could also be the reason why. He was given exclusive membership of Club Royal but has never used it as it is not his kind of thing. When Douglas figured out Maverick's weakness he wants to be the one to teach him everything and it sends them both on a journey that they had not anticipated. Can Maverick trust his body to Douglas?
I really enjoyed this story which has a sensitively told working relationship which morphed into a more physical relationship which then developed into love. I think they loved each other before their physical relationship started and it was more a manifestation of it. I loved the way that they were able to stand up for each other, help when there was trouble using whatever skills that they had, and that their family was able to adapt and accept the situation as part of their love for their child. Some dramatic moments, some sensation play, BDSM and D/s dynamics plus of course sexual encounters. This is a book only for mature readers. I loved that there was a HEA at the end.
