Investigative journalist Saxon stumbles upon a secret that has him on the other side of Nick's shifter protection agency. Can they find a common ground before it is too late? Shifter Genesis has always taken care of herself but luck ran out when she was locked up for murder even though it was self-defence. Nick helps her to be released as long as she works for him. Never normally a problem but the geek she is investigating is cute and her fated mate. He finds out about a secret serum that can turn humans into shifters and he has some decisions to make - his new beautiful sassy secretary is a shifter and she just saved his life but she just made the decision to use the serum on him to save him and he needs to decide whether to forgive her and to keep it a secret or not.
I liked this story. It took a little while to get used to Genesis as she was a bit abrupt but there was no denying their attraction and that he now needed to do a radical about-turn on what he was going to be and how his life will be in the future. There was definitely danger and drama in this story with some almost comical moments involving Genesis and her attempts to work for Saxon. Easy to read and understand. Contains just a little mature content.
