Alex Wolf would never have believed that women could be in Special Operations until he discovered Kat's real job is not soft and feminine. When he discovers that terrorists now want to kill her he goes all alpha-male and wants to protect her and make her his forever. Katlin Callahan spends weeks or months hunting the most dangerous men on earth as the Team Leader and one of the covert Ladies of the Black Swan. Between missions the only man she wants in her bed makes her heart sing but if she loses her heart and focus it could get them both killed.
I really enjoyed this story with the special ops angle, the secrecy, the shared history and the raw passion between Kat and Alex. The action was targeted and well-considered and the passion was off the charts. Well written, easy to read, feel and understand. A great introduction to Alex and Kat as well as the series.
