Yvonne made a mistake leaving Hathaway House and walking away from Dennis. Hugely comforting and caring man that he was, she had been so determined to move forward and to be someone independent that she couldn’t see what he had to offer. Until it was too late. Dennis could only love and let her go years ago. Now she’s returned to Hathaway House - injured again, broken inside, emotionally devastated, and worn out from the hard fight she has endured over the last five years. And Dennis is forced to the sidelines, watching as the woman he loves once again struggles to work toward her new more-broken reality. If only she could see this as a second chance for both of them.
I loved this story which focused on Yvonne and her recovery from the accident that brought her back to Hathaway House and the sage advice she received from the staff. I also loved that Dennis finally got the HEA that he deserved. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story.
