Takeshi felt that he failed at protecting Sinclair. That bullet shouldn’t have ever been fired. But it was, and he'd paid the price for his mistake by losing his voice. When the team decided it was time for me to get out of my own head, Tank goes to extremes.
Why hire someone to teach him ASL when he could simply marry them? Sure, made perfect sense. Except his new husband turned out to exactly what he needed. Just not how we all thought he would be. One minute Archie's moping about losing his job and possibly his work visa, the next he's standing in a room saying his vows. Ok, so maybe it wasn’t exactly like that. But it was definitely a fast journey to ‘I do’ with his now husband, Takeshi. His boss assured him this is the right move for both of us. It would be an easy win-win. Except it wasn’t. Because the men NightShade were trying to take down didn’t take kindly to being defeated. He never thought his happily ever after would come with so much murder.
I loved this story with all of the emotions and feelings from both men followed by all of the attraction and passion. The dramatic actions of Nightshade's enemies was certainty a baptism of fire for Archie and I loved his confidence that someone would come to rescue him. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
