Sometimes you have to make deals with the devil to save the people you love. Cory is changing Bosley's life. His quirky boy is so opposite of him in every way. Sweet and vulnerable, he’s willing to wear his heart on his sleeve. He’s willing to accept who Bosley is and what he is and so he won’t fail him. Now his worries are Bosley's. His found family is Bosley's too. His to shelter and his to protect. To do that, he'll make another deal with the devil. One that will draw him out of the shadows to align him with a crime Family. They’ll give him the soldiers and resources to give my Cory answers, and hopefully, get his remaining family member back. He's playing a dangerous game. One he's determined to win. No matter the cost. Because he'd do anything for his boy. Anything to keep him by his side.
I enjoyed this second book in the duology which gave us more about Cory and Bosley. I liked the way that some of the loose ends were resolved which I could see spawning new books in that world. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.
