Jamie made a bet: that he'd be Landry's perfect fake boyfriend for this wedding.
Now he desperately doesn't want to lose. Jamie acts like he has it together. But he frys eggs for a living and can barely pay rent. He's a hopeless romantic but still chronically alone. “Lucky” Landry Lucock is the definition of having it together. Wealthy, handsome, and completely out of Jamie's league. Guys like him don’t want someone like Jamie. But now he’s calling him boyfriend, even though we’re anything but. Jamie made a bet with Landry that he could be his fake boyfriend for this wedding week and put on a killer show for his awful ex. Now they're sharing everything, and he keeps ending up in his bed. He's telling himself this will never be more than pretend. But there's kissing even when no one’s around. But something fake is so damn addictive.
I enjoyed this story with the two men who were pretending until they weren't. I struggled with their relationship which was very impersonal and strained for much of the story. I enjoyed this last part of the story when it felt more real and there was some romance. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
