Their connection feeds on danger, desire, and the thrill of crossing lines they shouldn’t. As Rory’s fixation grows, he realises he wants everything from Shai — and he’ll take it. But in a violent world where control is everything, losing Shai might be the one thing that finally pushes Rory past the point of no return.
I loved that Rory and Shai’s obsession with each other is intense, messy, and completely addictive. What made their dynamic so compelling is the way Shai, despite all the danger surrounding them, becomes the one person who can steady Rory when it truly matters. Their love isn’t just passion — it extends outward, strengthening their bond with the wider family and grounding them in a world built on chaos. The author did a brilliant job capturing their thoughts and emotions, making every moment of fear, desire, and devotion feel vivid and real. Their connection is raw, volatile, and strangely beautiful, and I loved every second of it. This was an MM story with mature content.
