My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Harry, a stressed physiotherapist, escapes to a remote Cornish farm to work on his book. Joe, the grumpy horse farmer hosting him, is struggling to keep his rescue farm afloat. Forced to share space, the two opposites slowly grow closer, and when an accident puts Joe in Harry’s care, their connection deepens into something neither expected — if the farm’s troubles don’t pull them apart.
I loved this story which was a beautifully soft, slow‑burn romance where opposites don’t just attract — they fit together in a way that feels completely right. Harry and Joe couldn’t be more different on the surface: one is a calm, gentle physiotherapist from the city, the other a grumpy, overworked Cornish horse farmer. Yet every moment they share proves how perfectly they balance each other. One of the loveliest parts of the story is how Harry doesn’t just fall for Joe — he becomes part of Whisper Farm itself. The animals, the land, and Joe’s found‑family circle all quietly adopt him, giving him a place to belong just as much as he gives Joe someone to lean on. A tender, heartfelt read about unexpected connection, healing, and finding home in a person — and a farm — you never saw coming. This was an MM story with mature content.
