Human Joyce is a secretary but when Doshian commander Kede Tria sees her he abducts her and takes her to his battleship. He is overbearing and everything she never knew she wanted but he is only the one who can save her when an accident brings her towards inevitable death. Joyce was insufferable with her constant arguing and basic ungratefulness for some of the opportunities and kindness showed to her - I have to be honest and say that I pretty much hated her throughout the entire book. Kede Tria was Joyce's lifemate but in his own right he is one of the most feared Doshian warriors and he will do pretty much anything to keep her safe and with him.

I really enjoyed the story of Kede, the council, the various warring factions and the final solution. What I did not enjoy was Joyce's personality, her constant arguments, her ungratefulness, which just wore on me to the point I was close to not finishing the book several times. Tave fa V'yl-Zeret is the Prince of the Ujal and will do anything to make his mate happy even if that is creating a human holiday that he doesn't understand (How could a single person really circle the globe and deliver toys to every child?). However, this year the concern is not whether he has bought enough toys for his own child but the alien spaceship that has just entered the Earth's orbit. There is an intense debate as to if they are friend or foe. Either way on Earth there is a humbug somewhere who is willing to go to any length to stop any peace talks between the three races - including kidnapping Ujal royalty and assassination. Can they sort all these problems out, not have war break out and have the Christmas that the young are all looking forward to?

This was a nice short story that encompassed the Christmas spirit as races came together in order to beat those who would destroy peace and cooperation between them all. I loved the way that we were introduced to the Preor and this then makes sense and introduces the start of a whole new series based on the Preor race and how they find their own mates among the population of Earth. Well written, easy to read and understand. Contains just a little explicit sexual content.

Cara Marte thinks that the Ujal are just normal folks that sometimes grow fins and scales. She knows that she wants Rhal fa Adar with his dark scales and dark eyes but he always keeps her at arms-length sharing pleasure with her but nothing more - it is obvious he wants her but he refuses to mate with her. When she discovers that his reasons were actually a lie, she takes her battered heart to the Intergalactic Mating Agency office to try and find her match but all she can think of is Rhal. Rhal fa Adar is not an ideal mate as he sacrificed his soul as the king's secret assassin and so he feels he cannot have Cara. However, when he discovers that she has gone to try and find a mate he realises that he just cannot lose her to another male and vows to be with her in some way whilst Cara is realising that she cannot have another and just hopes that he realises his mistake and comes around. The only problem with Rhal’s plan? An evil from his past appears on Earth and shatters the tenuous bond they share. Now he prepares for the hardest battle of his life—the one for Cara.

This was a lovely story that had lots of betrayal, lies, pride and strength as it becomes more apparent exactly how the Ujal society works and who has the power. I loved the way that both of them were suffering at different points in the story and how that then meant that the other would move heaven and earth in order to stop that hurt. Deep down this is an intense love story that has some major pushes and pulls but in the end, it all goes in the right direction. There were definitely some fairly emotional moments but it was still very enjoyable. Well written and easy to read. Contains explicit sexual content.

Suddenly things move swiftly and she is matched with Tave fa V’yl, Crown Prince of Ujal, High Warrior of the Ruling Caste and Earth’s greatest ally. Tave fa V’yl is the strongest and fiercest warrior and yet he cannot deny his mother when and so he agrees to consider finding a mate this time. However, things move much faster than he expected and a match has been found for him. So he is presented with a human female who does not want anything to do with him and yet suddenly she is all he can think about. While Rina fights their attraction she has no idea that he has never lost a battle and does not intend to lose this one. Can they find a way to compromise and be together?

This was a nice full-length story that had the usual ingredients of a strong and determined woman, a strong and determined man who will do anything to make her change her mind while protecting her as best that he can, and an undeniable attraction that you just cannot deny (however how hard you try to). I liked Tave and how determined he was once he realised that he could not survive without Rina, and I also wanted to like Rina but she went too far with her denial of the attraction between her and Tave. Thankfully it all worked out and they were able to let their mating bear fruit and become so much more than they had ever imagined. Well written and easy to read and understand. She figured it must have been a one night stand, but Vados hadn't really gone anywhere and now he has returned for her. Can they move past the misunderstanding and find a life together?

This was a sweet short story that had all the necessary elements - attraction, passion, misunderstanding, crossed wires and reconciliation. I liked the feistiness of Maris and the strong male in Vados. It was nice to see them finding a way forward that meant that they both had to compromise. Well written and easy to read and understand. Whilst Vanessa has the support of Ujal royalty, but only one person - one Purple and sexy Ujal male - makes her feel safe: Erun fa Arex. Erun earnt his place through fighting and the use of his trident to become the captain of the Principessa's elite guard. He had a rough upbringing on Ujal where he grew up as a child slave forced to fight for sport and others’ pleasure. He has plenty of mental and physical scars as well as the critical damage course by many growth hormone injections that mean he can no longer father children. He has never considered mating as he knew it was not acceptable to any female, but meeting Vanessa and Tabitha he realises that is exactly what he wants going forward - he just needs to be prepared to fight to the death to keep them. Can they be together?

This was a slightly unusual story in the series but that made it much more enjoyable as it involved much more complex emotions and showed that there should be no boundary to love and the need to care for those who are most dear to you. It was charming to experience and I was rooting for them all as the story developed. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

#1 - Jarek - 3*

Dragon shifter and Prior Warrior Jarek sen Claron is 457 years old and is ready for his final flight into the skies. He has travelled to Earth as the War Master for the Prior third fleet and has decided that this will be his final assignment. He will help his fellow Preor to find human women as mates and will return home before the madness of loneliness takes over his mind. Everything changes the split second that he sees human Melissa, however, she was never registered as a mate hopeful and with the Knowing between them she should not be able to resist him, but she then does just that! Jarek really wants to giver her a choice but everything within him is screaming at him to just put her under his wing and mate her no matter what she says. However, he has some enemies circling him and so does not want to pull her into that situation. It seems that it is not popular among his kind that the son of a man who was a Preor mass murder should have a mate. Can he survive what is coming or will he die without having any more interaction with him?

This was an action-packed start to the series as Jarke fought for his life as those who were against him did everything in their power to rid the world of him. I felt very sorry for him as it is not great when the child has to pay for the sins of the father but I did find Melissa to be a very strange character. It seemed like she was very spoilt the way she kept running to the Ujal for help and their protection - something which jarred against the fact that she had had to be so strong and able to care for herself. I am just glad that she finally realised that fighting it was a pointless exercise and that her mate was being constantly severely injured as he tried to protect her and ensure that she was free of the men who were after him. Easy to read and understand, I would definitely read the next story in the series and just hope it was a bit more believable. Contains some explicit sexual content.

#2 - Taulan - 3*

Lana Cooper is really at rock bottom - she only has $100 left, has no job and her car has finally given up on her - all because of a guy. Her focus is on getting a job, but just the one walk along a beach changes everything - she ends up with a job but not what she thought - she is now the mate of a Preor dragon male. Taulan sen Pavon is anxious to return home to Preor as he feels he has to abandon his hopes to find a mate and go back in order to heal in the privacy of his aerie. He no longer feels worthy of a mate after his body was badly damaged in an explosion. But then he finds Lana and just her presence has initiated the Knowing for him. Can he live long enough to claim her and can she see past her father's prejudice in order to love him? There are still those Preor who despise the joining of humans and dragons and so will they both survive in order to find out if they have a future?

This was a dramatic story with plenty of twists and turns as they both fought both known and unknown forces in order to have the chance of a future together. I loved the way that they communicated and worked together as they came to know each other as well as the way that they overcame their problems. Contains some sexual content.

#3 - Kozav - 3*

Nurse Grace Hall is on duty when five Preor warriors are brought into the emergency room and the doctors do nothing. So Grace steps forward and because they look human she starts to work on them doing what she can to help. One warrior draws her attention with his teal coloured wings and pain glazed eyes has her torn between needing to touch him and healing him. When she finishes working on them she blacks out and knows nothing more. Kozav sen Aghin is the Primary Warrior of the Preor Third Fleet and is very weak when he wakes up on the battleship. Yes, he is healed but he feels as if something is wrong and then it hits him - he found his mate on Earth and she has been left behind to be alone and unprotected which is totally unacceptable. As he still carries guilt from the great conflict he is determined not to fail the curvaceous green-eyed woman who is his to cherish and protect. When someone attempts to take Grace from his life Kozav is prepared to do whatever it takes to get her back even if it means he has to kill one of his own kind. Can they have the future that they both want and deserve?

I liked this story which had lots of danger and drama involved right from the start. I loved the way that they had to settle into a relationship even though they both had the Knowing which was good to see. Grace was definitely sassy and took absolutely no prisoners which were great to see. Easy to read and very enjoyable. Contains explicit sexual content.

However, in the aftermath he has been jailed and sentenced to death as the Preaor leader he defended her against is determined to follow the letter of the law. Liquid Knot (Lily King) is trying to think of any way in which she can prevent his death and finds that there is just one solution that leaves him with his honour intact - she will have to claim the sun-coloured, sexy, and delicious winged male as her mate. Argan sen Izz’bara would never regret defending her but he deeply regrets the fact that she has tied herself to him in mating to him in name only. But it starts to become clear that there is more than friendship between them as they start to feel attraction and passion too. While they did not experience the Knowing the first time they met, he starts to wonder if they could actually be mates. However, before any answers can be found someone is displeased that Argan did not die and is determined that both Argan and Lily will die. Will they survive and find the answer to the mate question?

I loved this story which has some great underlying stories behind the story of the initial death sentence, mating and them spending time together. It was certainly a whodunnit when it became clear that someone was trying to kill them. I loved the way that Argan was trying his best to protect her while she was also trying to do her best to protect them both as well as everyone that could be affected. Some very interesting concepts that would be fascinating to see if they come true at some point in the future. I loved the relationship between them and the way that it developed. Definitely the best story in this series so far. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Brukr sen Zak’lu was a Preor Warrior who had been given honours by the emperor centuries ago but he feels he did not deserve them. So he works hard to protect and care for the females in the Preor Tower to try and prove himself worthy of the emperor's support. Hannah constantly disregards his instructions and makes his duty almost impossible. It taunts him that she is someone that he cannot have even though he aches for her because he wants her so badly even his dragon rages whenever he leaves her side. But which no Knowing he can't claim her (or at least he believes he can't). Hannah has had many genetic modifications that have changed her appearance but they can't change her past and so to make up for it she steps into the spotlight as a spokesperson for Cole-Daven and struggles to get other humans to accept their treatment for the Pol Mutation. She is also having to might her strong attraction to Brukr - they might not be mates but she constantly craves him. With her exposure to the public, it means that Hannah now has a group of humans after her - some to possess her, some to torture her and many to just kill her. To Brukr that is totally unacceptable and he will ensure she is kept safe with his war blades if necessary with no care for the potential consequences.

This was a lovely story with a lot of drama and excitement in places especially when Hannah was in danger from the other humans and where we find out the reason why. I loved Brukr and his determination to do the right thing and how that clashed with his total devotion to Hannah. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains some sexual content.

This was a sweet novella which gave you no background on the characters so cannot be read as a stand-alone story unless you take some things on trust. I loved the way that they cared for the child and the way Khaza was very clearly determined to keep the child - something that I could not see Chashan denying. Easy to read and enjoy. Elle Davenport is enjoying life as the grey sheep of the family now that she works for their corporate enemy Cole Pharma in the Preor Tower. She has massive, muscular and winged aliens around her at all times but there is just the one Prior Warrior who she cannot get off her mind (constantly) - Ivoth sen Pezet’li who is not hers as they have not shared the Knowing, but she really wants him. Ivoth had made a vow to his sire that the family line would not end with him. However, when he is in any contact with Elle he does not know if her can ever let her go - he just craves her and he knows that sadly if he is to fulfil his vow he is going to have to make the choice - lose Elle and have a chance at dragonlets even though his heart will always be hers, or stay with Elle and break his vow. Before he can make this dreadful choice he has to keep Elle alive as someone is determined to kill her first - he only prays to Syh he is successful.

I enjoyed this story although I spent much of it broken hearted and praying for a solution to their dreadful dilemma. It was interesting to understand the illness and the way that the rest of the human population had treated people with that disease. I'm sure there are many real-life situations that can be seen as similar to that situation. I loved their deep love for each other and the determination to find a solution and make it work after it was becoming increasingly obvious to them both that life really was not tolerable to be apart. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

If only he can live long enough to see them born which Lana described as being hatched. This is a short story and so only 63 pages long. I enjoyed the reason for Taulan being convinced he would die soon and when we discover that reason I had to laugh. Full of drama and love to make you smile with a warm glow.

Luckily she found her mate there but then had to watch him die via their connection via the Knowing. Now she has a second mate and in some kind of cosmic joke, it is the Preor Warrior who killed her first mate. Yes he is gorgeous and his peach scales give her a need to caress him, but she is torn considering what he did to her first mate. Zadri was born a son of Syh (he was orphaned and unwanted) and yet he never imagined every finding a mate. Yet, against the odds, Delaney is his. He did rip her first mate's throat out but having experienced the Knowing with her he will not let her go - her curves, inner strength and unborn young belong to him. When others try to rip her away from him he is determined to explain the gravity of their error in a slow and painful manner - he just hopes he can reach her before they escape!

This was a very dramatic story that had a lot of events happening around both Delaney and Zadri as they met in very unusual circumstances and then had to fight to stay together against the odds. A very enjoyable story with plenty of mystery, danger and drama. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Rendan sen Tarkan is the Offense Master to the Preor Third Fleet and he has found his human mate. She is smaller than him, has sky blue eyes, curves and a delicious scent. It has taken him over two hundred years to find her and he will kill any male who dares to take her no matter who or what they are. Human nurse Carla Butler went from being unemployed to being on a Preor battleship caring for the human mates of the Preor warriors. Then she found a sexy pink scaled Preor warrior who was her mate only to watch him beaten to hell. They seemed to live next door to each other in condos on the Prior Tower on Earth so they could start to learn about each other and build a relationship. So when another Preor tries to end her life he doesn't quit trying to do that - she just hopes that Rendan is always there to save her when he tries one more time.

This was a nice story where Rendan and Carla have to cope with so much danger that they are at risk of life-ending not long after they actually found each other. Add to that their own personalities and the work they both had to do in order to build a strong relationship in order to add to the Knowing which just gives compatibility and attraction it was nice to experience all of that. Well written and easy to read it had all of the drama and danger during the attacks on Carla and her rescue. Contains some explicit sexual content.
