Vados by Erin Tate
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Human marine biologist Maris Xayer is used to observing marine life, but she never imagines being face to tail with a Ujal male. Caught in a hurricane, Maris and Vados have a passionate moment but then it passes and he left and never came back. She figured it must have been a one night stand, but Vados hadn't really gone anywhere and now he has returned for her. Can they move past the misunderstanding and find a life together?
This was a sweet short story that had all the necessary elements - attraction, passion, misunderstanding, crossed wires and reconciliation. I liked the feistiness of Maris and the strong male in Vados. It was nice to see them finding a way forward that meant that they both had to compromise. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.
