Review: First Life by Rose Garcia 5 of 5 stars

First Life First Life by Rose Garcia
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dominique has survived the final attempt on her life only to discover that someone in her future will suffer the exact same fate. She is determined to save this person who is innocent so she travels with her allies into the last determined to alter the future only to discover a reality and events that change everything they thought they knew.

Just like in the previous books in the series this one was not lacking in drama, danger and a quick moving story. I was definitely behind Dominique and her friends as they were battling to correct the whole process that was behind the need to have a marked person that had to be killed. I loved the ending and felt that the story was well written and easy to understand.

** Please note you need to have read the previous books first in order to understand the story.

Review: Final Death by Rose Garcia 4 of 5 stars

Final Death Final Death by Rose Garcia
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dominique might have survived and expelled the evil within her but now her true love has to kill her. So she cuts lose from her friends to protect them and trusts no one apart from a friend from her first life. Now she is determined to kill before she has to face her final death.

Lots of action, drama, twists and turns in this book. It was mostly clear and addictive but a few times it became a little too manic. Everything was clearly written and I could feel and empathise with the characters. I never saw the ending coming so that was a complete surprise.

** Please note you need to read the previous two books in the series first.

Review: Final Stand by Rose Garcia 5 of 5 stars

Final Stand Final Stand by Rose Garcia
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dominique might have killed Tavion but she still feels punished as she is forced to flee from Houston and leave all her friends behind. Problem is she can still hear Tavion in her head so she still has a connection to the Tainted - then their car is ambushed and it becomes clear that someone close is a traitor. So she goes back to Houston and seeks Trent and Infiniti who are first lifers to get some help. However it is complicated between her and Trent due to her pull towards Farrell. So when it all escalates towards her loved ones Dominique decides to make a final stand in order to survive.

Wow - this was a roller-coaster ride through many twists and turns as the story developed and Dominique got further into understanding what is going on around her. I liked the way the story developed with the inclusion on Trent and Infiniti to add a new dimension to it. It was well written and everything was clear and easy to understand. I could feel the emotions of the characters and empathise with their viewpoints during the story. I'm now wondering what is going to happen next.

Review: Final Life by Rose Garcia 4 of 5 stars

Final Life Final Life by Rose Garcia
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dominique is 17 and angry and upset having had to move across country during her senior year leaving her feeling incredibly lonely. Then things get worse when her neighbour pushes her into playing a so called psychic card game and she seems a red desert with an evil presence what threatens to kill her again in this life. She tries to forget the experience after convincing herself that she has gone crazy but she keeps having the vision and it keeps getting more intense. All of a sudden it all becomes clear - the has to discover the secrets of her past and confront this evil else she will really be dead.

This was a great start to the series and did it's best to set the scene as well as give an interesting story full of drama and intrigue. In the end I felt quite sorry for her suddenly having all of this new world thrust upon her but I also had to feel a little annoyance with her on how she managed to handle and overcome her problems as she encountered them. She seemed determined to handle everything herself and very selfish at times which seemed to cause a few issues for the other characters. Intriguing story that I'm looking forward to reading the next instalment in this series hoping that she learnt from the previous events and is a bit more together.
