Review: Ex Nihilo by Nazri Noor 5 of 5 stars

Ex Nihilo (Sins of the Father Book 0)Ex Nihilo by Nazri Noor

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Regular kid Mason Albrecht had his entire world rocked on his eighteenth birthday when golden flames seared holy sigils into his skin and a host of angels came to exterminate him. Then demons arrived, hungry for a taste of his Nephilim flesh. Using gifts he appears to now have (and can barely use), Mason has to fight to save his life in what appears to be a world gone completely mad. All he has to cling to is a pillar of light shooting up from a distant city where he hopes to find sanctuary.

In this prequel to the Sins of the Father series by the same author. It nicely sets up how Mason was awakened as a Nephilim and the way it affected him on emotional, physical and his own physical location levels. It was a great story as well as a valuable grounding on what happened before the first book in the series. Well written, it was easy to understand and read. Very enjoyable.
