Gabby Mulder is spending the winter in Aspen in Colorado working and snowboarding quite happily until something weird happens to her and she is almost killed by the actions of a ghost on the slopes. One of her roommates is brutally murdered in the shared apartment and then the rumours start of a serial killer from the past returning which just piles on the pressure and pain on Gabby. Confused and grieving she is forced to move to a new residence which the police investigate the death by looking at the crime scene at the apartment and her. Damon Fletcher is a police detective who at first considered Gabby as a flighty troublemaker after incidents at the bookstore where she worked and then the slopes brought her to his attention, but when one of her roommates is murdered his interest in her grew to another level. As a second roommate is killed, Gabby is caught in the middle and suspicious gazes are turning even more in her direction - can they work out what the cases have to do with her, how they related to the cold cases from the past and can they work it all out before it gets to her?
This was a great story which had all of the requisite ingredients of a Psychic Visions series story. There was the mystery that involved the supernatural, the woman at the centre of the story who was in danger, and the authority figure who was trying to work it all out before it was too late (as well as the irresistible attraction and sizzling chemistry between the two). Well written, very easy to read and full of danger and drama. There was just a little sexual content near the end of the story.
