Lion shifter Ariella Golden knows that the sexy Dire Wolf Beta Brock Laurent is her fated mate but he seems to be resisting it - she needs to find a way to make him admit it and do something about it. Can she also persuade talented chef Brock that he use the Pride's food supply corporation Eat Well Live Proud for his own roadhouse so that she can win the quarterly sales competition? After all, the Pride's food supply business offers the best organic, non-GMO, and responsibly harvested fish and meat. Brock had been content cooking the best food and hanging out with his pack, but now that he has met the curvy and curly-headed goddess is all he can think about. So he decides to test her while he ignores the pull of his mate. Ariella was stunned when he insists on a single night with her but after persuasion from her family agrees with the hope he will realise she is his mate and act on it. Can the sassy feline prove that she can take anything he dishes out?
This was a very enjoyable story which showed just how determined Ariella had to be in order to get Brock to realise just what he had and how he needed to man up and take what (or who) was on offer. I loved the way that the story ended and how that improved everything between the two of them. Clear and easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.
