Review: Quiad by Aja Foxx 4 of 5 stars

Quiad

Quiad by Aja Foxx
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Quaid is a quiet carpenter still haunted by his military past, and Levi is a foster kid who finally finds real safety with the McKenzie family. A connection grows between them from the moment Levi arrives, though Quaid keeps his distance until Levi is older. Just as Levi begins to feel secure and hopes for something more with Quaid, his estranged mother suddenly returns claiming to be terminally ill, stirring confusion, old wounds, and doubts about her true motives.

This story is packed with emotion, and the connection between Quaid and Levi is undeniable from the start. Their bond grows slowly and beautifully, rooted in trust, safety, and the kind of love that feels both steady and hard‑won. Levi’s history with his mother is heartbreaking — years of abandonment, manipulation, and confusion — and when she reappears, it threatens to unravel the fragile security he’s finally found. Watching Quaid and the entire McKenzie clan step up to protect him, without hesitation or condition, is one of the most powerful parts of the book. Their loyalty gives Levi the family he’s always deserved. The emotions in this story are well‑described and easy to feel, from Levi’s fear of being unwanted to Quaid’s quiet, unwavering devotion. A tender, deeply felt romance about healing, belonging, and finding love in the safest possible place. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Building A Little Love by Lynn Michaels 3 of 5 stars

Building A Little Love

Building A Little Love by Lynn Michaels
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Gilly is overworked and has never had time for dating, let alone figuring out whether he wants a Daddy — until seeing his friend Rob so happy makes him wonder. Nate is just as busy running his construction business and barely squeezes in time for his Brotherhood meetings. But when their friends (or maybe fate) push them together, everything clicks. Two tired, under‑loved men meet, and suddenly nothing else matters.

This was such a lovely, gentle romance, and the connection between Gilly and Nate shines from the moment they meet. Both men are exhausted and overlooked in their own lives, which makes the ease between them feel especially meaningful. I loved the care Nate showed as Gilly explored his little side — not pushing, not assuming, just offering steady reassurance and structure that helped Gilly manage his stress rather than drown in it. Their dynamic felt nurturing in the best way, and it highlighted how perfectly they fit together. Nate’s patience and Gilly’s sweetness made their relationship an absolute delight, and the way their bond grew so naturally was incredibly heartwarming. A tender, comforting story full of soft emotions and two men finding exactly what they need in each other. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic with male lactation.

Review: Devil Daddy by Zack Wish 3 of 5 stars

Devil Daddy: An Age Gap Russian Mafia Forbidden Dark Romance

Devil Daddy: An Age Gap Russian Mafia Forbidden Dark Romance by Zack Wish
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Eddie, a 22‑year‑old sculptor, is pulled into the violent world of Viktor Volkov — a feared, much older Bratva enforcer known as the Downtown Devil. After Viktor saves him from a rival’s bullet, he refuses to let Eddie go, claiming him with a mix of strict dominance and unexpected tenderness. Eddie knows he should run, but Viktor awakens needs he’s never dared to explore. Their intense, forbidden age‑gap relationship deepens even as danger closes in. With enemies targeting the Bratva and Eddie caught in the crossfire, Viktor’s ruthless reputation becomes both Eddie’s greatest risk and his fiercest protection.

This story blends danger, drama, and dark romance in a way that makes Viktor and Eddie’s connection impossible to ignore. Their forced proximity in Viktor’s violent world gives them the space — and the pressure — to explore their Daddy/little dynamic, and watching that bond take shape is one of the book’s strongest elements. I especially enjoyed seeing Viktor soften as he caught real feelings. Beneath the ruthless exterior, those small moments of tenderness made their relationship feel surprisingly sweet amid all the brutality. Eddie’s best friend Robbie was another highlight — chaotic, loyal, and full of personality — and I’m definitely hoping he gets his own Daddy later in the series. This is a dark twist on a Daddy romance, lighter on emotional detail but still full of tension, intimacy, and a compelling push‑and‑pull between two very different men. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: How to Be Gay By Valentine's Day by Sarah Jayne 4 of 5 stars

How to Be Gay By Valentine's Day

How to Be Gay By Valentine's Day by Sarah Jayne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Gavin grew up in a small town where liking guys wasn’t even presented as an option. Now on the West Coast and finally acknowledging his attraction to men, he looks for someone confident and out to help him figure things out. Sebastian, a stressed med student who can handle complex science but panics at public speaking, ends up paired with Gavin — a huge, sweet, slightly clueless jock. Gavin offers to help him pass the class if Sebastian teaches him “how to be gay.” Their deal quickly turns into something deeper in this sunshine‑and‑grump, bi‑awakening romance filled with meddling frat brothers and a homophobic family that really should stay away.

This was such a sweet, emotional story, and the connection between Gavin and Sebastian is undeniable from the moment their deal begins. Even though they come from very different worlds — and both carry their own hurts — they fit together in a way that feels natural and deeply heartfelt. One of my favourite parts was the support Gavin received from his frat brothers and the football team. Their easy acceptance and genuine protectiveness gave the story so much warmth, especially in contrast to the negativity coming from elsewhere in his life. Sebastian, meanwhile, was absolutely adorable, and his wonderfully geeky housemates added the perfect dose of chaotic, loving energy. The mix of humour, vulnerability, and emotional growth made this a lovely, feelings‑filled read. A gentle, affirming romance with two characters who truly deserved the happiness they found in each other. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: A Very Merry Bah Humbug by Sarah Jayne 5 of 5 stars

A Very Merry Bah Humbug

A Very Merry Bah Humbug by Sarah Jayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

James and Caleb are both grumps who want nothing to do with forced holiday cheer. When their fraternity insists on festive bonding, they come up with a solution: fake date so everyone will leave them alone. But the plan backfires when they’re dragged through every holiday activity imaginable — ice skating, tree hunting, hay rides, hot chocolate tastings — and they start enjoying each other’s company far more than expected. What begins as a fake relationship between two loners slowly turns into something real in this grumpy‑grumpy, holiday‑themed romance.

James and Caleb have an undeniable pull between them from the start, and what makes their connection so compelling is how clearly both men are carrying their own damage. They’re grumpy, guarded, and used to keeping people at arm’s length — which makes it all the more affecting when they start letting each other in. Caleb’s family’s treatment of James is genuinely heartbreaking. Their cruelty and intrusiveness add a sharp emotional edge to the story, especially as they try to drive a wedge between the two without caring who they hurt. Those moments deepen the stakes and highlight just how much James and Caleb need someone who chooses them, not despite their flaws but because of who they are. There’s a surprising amount of emotion packed into this holiday romance, and it gives the story real depth beneath the humour and fake‑dating fun. A warm, heartfelt read with two beautifully imperfect men finding something real in the middle of all the chaos. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Voir Dear by Marie Sinclair 3 of 5 stars

Voir Dear

Voir Dear by Marie Sinclair
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Cameron dreads yet another round of jury duty, and a spilled coffee on a cold February morning only makes it worse — until he turns around and meets the blue‑eyed guy who bumped into him. Tyler, a distracted webcomic artist, is mortified by the accident, but fate isn’t done with them. They end up on the same jury, seated side by side, and their awkward encounter slowly turns into something warm and promising as the trial moves toward Valentine’s Day.

This was such a sweet novella, and the instant attraction between Cameron and Tyler gives it a lovely spark right from the start. Even while they’re trying to stay focused on the trial, their awareness of each other never really fades — it’s always there, warm and steady, threading through every interaction. I really enjoyed how they balanced their growing feelings with the responsibility of serving on a jury. It made their connection feel grounded and genuine, not rushed. The story keeps things light, charming, and heartfelt, making their slow build toward something real especially satisfying. A quick, cute read with great chemistry and a gentle romantic pull. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: The Price of Loyalty by Brina Brady 3 of 5 stars

The Price of Loyalty

The Price of Loyalty by Brina Brady
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Adrik, raised to inherit a violent Russian crime empire, walks away from the mafia but can’t escape the danger that still hunts him. Hans, a gentle German professor living a quiet, steady life, is his complete opposite. When their paths collide, the connection between them is immediate and unexpectedly deep. Hans offers the peace Adrik never believed he could have, while Adrik awakens feelings Hans thought he’d buried long ago. Both men fled their pasts, but neither can walk away from what they find in each other.

Adrik’s character is explored in far more depth than Hans’s, and while that made him compelling, it also left the emotional balance of the story a little uneven. I found myself wanting more detail around their feelings, especially Hans’s inner world, to fully ground the intensity of their connection. The bones of a strong emotional arc are there, but some moments felt like they needed more space to breathe. The ending was surprisingly abrupt, which stood out even more because the story easily had room to continue. It felt like the book stopped just as things were getting interesting, and a longer, more developed conclusion would have strengthened the overall impact. Still, the premise is engaging, the contrast between the two men works well, and there’s a lot of potential in their dynamic. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Trick or Treat, Nurse at My Feet by Sarah Jayne 4 of 5 stars

Trick or Treat, Nurse at My Feet

Trick or Treat, Nurse at My Feet by Sarah Jayne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tyler has spent years avoiding his attraction to men, until a chance Halloween encounter with Ethan — a nursing student fresh out of a toxic relationship — finally pushes him forward. Ethan is done being treated like a secret, and Tyler is determined to show him what it feels like to be valued openly. As Ethan finds unexpected acceptance among Tyler’s frat brothers, their Halloween meet‑cute grows into a funny, steamy, feel‑good college romance filled with meddling friends, ex‑drama, and plenty of chemistry.

The pull between Tyler and Ethan is undeniable from the moment they collide — the kind of chemistry that feels immediate, instinctive, and impossible for either of them to ignore. What really stood out to me was Tyler’s determination to show Ethan that he deserves to be cherished openly, not hidden away or treated like an inconvenience. Watching him gently, consistently push back against Ethan’s past hurts gives the story a lovely emotional core. The humour throughout is fantastic, balancing the heavier moments with genuine laugh‑out‑loud scenes. I also loved how naturally the book normalises consent, respect, and basic decency — it’s woven into the story without ever feeling preachy, just part of how these characters choose to treat each other. A fun, warm, and affirming college romance that’s easy to read, easy to feel, and full of heart.

Review: The Vampire's Lament by Richard Amos 5 of 5 stars

The Vampire's Lament

The Vampire's Lament by Richard Amos
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Paris, an elf executioner raised to hate vampires, finds himself unexpectedly drawn to Silvanus, the vampire king he’s supposed to kill. Their shared battles and shocking revelations pull them closer, turning enemies into reluctant allies as danger grows around them. With the world sliding toward darkness, Paris begins to rely on Silvanus more than he ever thought possible, even as their slow‑burn bond deepens in ways neither of them planned.

The connection between Paris and Silvanus is impossible to ignore, even though it goes against everything they were raised to believe. That tension — wanting what they shouldn’t, feeling what they’re not supposed to — gives the story a strong emotional pull as they navigate loyalty, prejudice, and the weight of their pasts. With so many different supernatural beings in play, there’s danger and drama coming at them from every direction, both together and individually. The world feels alive and unpredictable, and the stakes keep rising in ways that push their bond even further. The writing is clear, easy to follow, and easy to feel, making the emotional shifts and the fantasy elements blend smoothly. This instalment also sets up the next book really well — enough answers to satisfy, but plenty of new questions and threads I’m now desperate to see explored. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Ransom by Aja Foxx 5 of 5 stars

Ransom

Ransom by Aja Foxx
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ransom is a rebellious biker who’s always clashed with Sheriff Floyd Hardesty, even as an undeniable attraction grows between them. One passionate night finally brings their tension to a boil, but Floyd insists on keeping things secret to protect his career. Ransom refuses to stay hidden and walks away—until he learns Floyd has been hurt and rushes back. Floyd, dedicated to the law and still struggling with his sexuality after a messy divorce, is just as drawn to Ransom despite their differences. Working together on a string of break‑ins pushes them closer, but his fear of going public drives them apart. Only when Ransom leaves does Floyd realise that claiming the man he loves matters more than protecting his image.

This story is full of big emotions as Ransom and Floyd wrestle with their feelings, their fears, and the very real stakes of taking their relationship public. Their push‑and‑pull is intense and heartfelt, and the book doesn’t shy away from the messy, complicated issues they face — from internal doubts to external pressures. I really appreciated how clearly everything was written; the emotional beats are easy to follow and easy to feel. Even when the characters are at odds, the depth of their connection comes through, making their journey toward honesty and openness satisfying to watch unfold. A strong, emotional romance with plenty of heart. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Vandals in the Vidalias by Dale Mayer 5 of 5 stars

Vandals in the Vidalias

Vandals in the Vidalias by Dale Mayer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Doreen heads to the coast hoping for a peaceful break from Kelowna’s winter gloom, even though returning means facing memories of her old life with her ex‑husband, Mathew. She plans to simply sort through his belongings, but the moment she steps into the conservatory, she realises her knack for stumbling into trouble has followed her. Mack takes time off to help her navigate the emotional weight of revisiting her past, but what he uncovers about Mathew is both surprising and unsettling. Then a new mystery erupts: a body is found in Doreen’s beloved Vidalia patch. Whether it’s connected to her or just another case of her being in the wrong (or right) place at the wrong time is anyone’s guess — but once again, Doreen is pulled straight into the heart of it.

Returning to the opulent house she once shared with Matthew brings a real emotional punch to this instalment. You can feel how overwhelming it is for Doreen to walk back into that world, and Mack’s discomfort only heightens the tension — he wants to support her, yet being surrounded by the remnants of her old life unsettles him in ways he didn’t expect. What really adds depth is how the murder mystery unfolds right alongside the painful task of clearing out the house. The discovery in the Vidalia patch forces them to juggle grief, memories, and danger all at once, and the involvement of Scott and Nick grounds the house clearance with a familiar, steadying presence. The blend of emotional upheaval and classic Doreen‑style chaos makes this a compelling and layered read.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Review: His Sweet, Perfect Mate by Allie W. Scott 3 of 5 stars

His Sweet, Perfect Mate: A Paranormal MPreg Romance

His Sweet, Perfect Mate: A Paranormal MPreg Romance by Allie W. Scott
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Maklihn, a 300‑year‑old wolf shifter who has long given up on finding his fated mate, runs a quiet bookstore in a protected shifter town. Clynt arrives heartbroken after his boyfriend leaves him for a fated mate, hoping a visit to his cousin will help him heal. Instead, he catches a scent that tells his wolf he’s just found his destined partner. Their low‑angst romance unfolds amid a meddling small‑town shifter community, blending sweetness, second chances, and the joy of finally finding the mate each of them has been waiting for.

Their meeting comes at exactly the right moment for both of them — one recovering from heartbreak, the other having waited centuries for his fated mate — and that timing gives the story a lovely emotional sweetness. As a novella, it doesn’t have room for deep development, but there’s enough warmth and clarity in the writing to make the connection easy to feel and understand. The world, the characters, and the gentle tone all come together to create a soft, comforting read that leaves you smiling. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

** Please note this story previously appeared in the Labor of Love anthology. It has been expanded substantially to give a more complete story.

Review: Candy Hearts Volume 3 by A.D. Ellis by B.A. Tortuga by Becca Seymour by E.M. Denning 4 of 5 stars

Candy Hearts Volume 3

Candy Hearts Volume 3 by A.D. Ellis by B.A. Tortuga by Becca Seymour by E.M. Denning
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Valentine’s‑themed LGBTQIA2S+ anthology offering twenty‑one low‑angst queer romances, each built around bad first impressions that blossom into sweet, satisfying happily‑ever‑afters. Candy Hearts, Volume 3 delivers warm, red‑hot novellas full of charm, humour, and feel‑good connection. It’s available for a limited time, and all proceeds support Rainbow Railroad, making it both a delightful read and a contribution to a meaningful cause.

This anthology is full of charm, and I really enjoyed how many of the stories leaned into humour while still delivering a guaranteed happy ending. The low‑angst tone makes it an easy, uplifting read, and the variety of “meet‑ugly” setups kept things fun from story to story. Because each piece is a novella, the character development is naturally limited, and I often found myself wishing a few of the couples had more space to grow. Several stories had such engaging setups and chemistry that I genuinely hope the authors expand them into longer works. Overall, it’s a sweet, feel‑good collection with plenty of warmth, laughs, and satisfying conclusions — perfect for dipping into when you want something light and happy. I particularly enjoyed the stories by A.D. Ellis, BA Tortuga, Becca Seymour and E.M. Denning. These were MM stories with mature content.

Review: Under the Surface by N.R. Walker 5 of 5 stars

Under the Surface

Under the Surface by N.R. Walker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sawyer, a Hobart detective, chases a suspect who suddenly shapeshifts and disappears into the icy water. Before he can investigate, a government agent shuts down the case and sends him to Tenebrae Cove, a remote Tasmanian town known for strange happenings. There he meets Ciaran Brenner, the guarded leader of the community, and feels an inexplicable pull toward both the water and the man who clearly wants him gone. The longer Sawyer stays, the more he realises the town — and Ciaran — are hiding secrets he’s desperate to uncover.

The paranormal world in this story is wonderfully vivid, with a strong sense of mystery and an ever‑present threat that keeps the tension simmering. I loved how the supernatural elements wrapped naturally around the growing connection between Sawyer and Ciaran — two men who are undeniably drawn to each other but have to learn how to compromise if they want any chance of being together. Their push‑and‑pull dynamic fits perfectly with the eerie atmosphere of Tenebrae Cove. The writing is clear, immersive, and easy to feel, making it simple to slip into both the setting and the characters’ emotions. The town itself is a standout: moody, strange, and full of secrets, supported by a cast of side characters who add depth and charm to the world. A compelling blend of mystery, paranormal intrigue, and slow‑burn connection that left me eager to see where their story goes next. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Ernie's Lost Puppy by Della Cain by Katea Kat 3 of 5 stars

Ernie's Lost Puppy

Ernie's Lost Puppy by Della Cain by Katea Kat
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ernie has always relied on Pup‑Pup, the stuffed puppy given to him years ago by the ER doctor who treated him after an accident. That doctor, Jovan, told him to hold the toy whenever life felt overwhelming, and it became Ernie’s constant source of comfort. On the day of an important job interview, Ernie breaks his own rule and brings Pup‑Pup along for courage — only to lose him when a real dog snatches him from his bag. When the dog’s owner returns the toy, Ernie is stunned to realise it’s Jovan himself. The doctor who once soothed him as a frightened patient is now looking at him with recognition, warmth, and interest — not as someone to care for, but as someone he wants to know. Their unexpected reunion turns a moment of panic into the beginning of something hopeful and deeply personal.

A sweet, gentle story built around a lost stuffie, a mischievous dog named Zoe, and the unexpected reunion it sparks. Ernie’s panic over losing Pup‑Pup turns into a lovely moment when Jovan — the doctor who once comforted him years ago — is the one who returns it, and their steps toward a relationship feel warm and hopeful. I especially loved the care Jovan shows Ernie; his patience and kindness give the story its heart. Ernie’s hesitation did feel a little bit silly at times, which held the emotional depth back just a touch, but the overall tone is soft, comforting, and easy to enjoy. A short, sweet read that leaves you smiling. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Until You Break by Quinn Storm 2 of 5 stars

Until You Break: A Dark Mafia MM Romance

Until You Break: A Dark Mafia MM Romance by Quinn Storm
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Emilio Valenti, the quiet, artistic son of a crime family, is forced into a marriage meant to settle a bloody feud. Instead of becoming a partner, he becomes a hostage—bound to Damien Bellandi, the cold and obsessive heir who claims him as part of a long‑planned revenge. What begins as captivity turns into a psychological battle neither man expects, as Damien methodically breaks down Emilio’s defenses and Emilio finds himself craving the very cage he was forced into. In a world built on vendettas and power, survival isn’t guaranteed, and surrender may be only the beginning of what binds them.

I was genuinely torn while reading this one. Parts of the story were gripping and dark in a way that really worked, but other elements pulled me out of the experience. The dialogue occasionally repeated itself, which became confusing, and there were moments where it felt like the wrong character name headed a chapter — something that made the narrative harder to follow. What troubled me most was the contradiction in Damien’s mother’s actions. Emilio is the son of her best friend, yet she drugs him, chains him, and locks him in a cage as if he were a criminal. That disconnect made it difficult to fully invest in the emotional stakes of the story. Despite that, there were sections I enjoyed, especially the darker, more intense moments that leaned into the twisted dynamic between Emilio and Damien. The ending, however, built toward major events and then simply stopped, leaving me wondering whether a second book was intended to continue the arc. A story with strong potential and compelling darkness, but one that left me more conflicted than satisfied. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: The Vampire by B.L. Maxwell 3 of 5 stars

The Vampire

The Vampire by B.L. Maxwell
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Marlon Byrne, a centuries‑old vampire buried beneath the small town of Occident, has grown so lonely that he chooses to lie in a grave, hoping fate will eventually bring him a mate. Blake Miller has heard stories all his life about a vampire buried with a stash of gold, and one night he and his friend Aaron decide to investigate. What they uncover is far more real — and far more dangerous — than a family legend. Awakening Marlon sets off a chain of events Blake can’t control, pulling him into a world where his old life is gone and the cost of survival may demand far more than just his blood.

I enjoyed the premise of this story and the eerie charm of a long‑buried vampire awakening to change Blake’s life, but I was left wanting more. The setup is intriguing and the atmosphere pulls you in quickly, yet the characters never quite deepen beyond their initial roles. Marlon and Blake’s dynamic had potential, but the emotional and personal development felt too thin to fully invest in. The biggest disappointment was how abruptly the story ended. Just as the tension and stakes were building, it wrapped up before exploring the consequences or giving the characters room to grow. It’s a fun, engaging idea with flashes of promise, but the lack of development and sudden finish kept it from being as satisfying as it could have been. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Daddy's Shiny Star by TL Travis 3 of 5 stars

Daddy's Shiny Star: An MM Age Play Romance

Daddy's Shiny Star: An MM Age Play Romance by TL Travis
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A lonely boy named Jamie finds unexpected companionship with Tim, a lost Daddy who suddenly finds himself pulled into Jamie’s world — a world that includes Sloffers the stuffed animal and an entire zoo’s worth of actual animals. What starts as a simple connection quickly turns chaotic, especially after a pizza party erupts into a full‑blown flour explosion. With fur, feelings, and mayhem everywhere, Tim has to figure out just what he’s gotten himself into as their bond grows amid the chaos.

This is a light, feel‑good story built around the instant connection between Jamie and Tim. Their bond forms quickly, and Tim’s steady love and gentle care make it easy for Jamie’s little side to come out in a way that feels natural and comforting. The dynamic between them is warm and supportive, giving the whole book a soft, reassuring tone. The chaos of animals, stuffies, and general mischief adds a playful layer, but the heart of the story is really that immediate emotional click between Daddy and boy. While it doesn’t offer much in terms of deeper character development or emotional complexity, it delivers exactly what it promises: sweetness, comfort, and a relationship that settles into place with ease. A simple, cosy read that leans into connection and caretaking rather than heavy plot or growth. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Captured by Quinn Storm 4 of 5 stars

Captured: An M/M Captivity Romance

Captured: An M/M Captivity Romance by Quinn Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jonah is a nurse brought in to care for Viktor Morozov, a Bratva heir believed to be dead, only to find him alive, injured, and dangerously compelling. Though Jonah has never been attracted to men, Viktor’s intensity pulls him in, even as Jonah senses someone inside the house wants Viktor dead. As he becomes entangled in Viktor’s world, Jonah realises he’s no longer just tending a patient — he’s trapped in a dangerous bond neither of them can walk away from.

The connection between Jonah and Viktor is the heart of this story — intense, magnetic, and impossible to ignore. The contrast between Jonah’s gentle, steady care and Viktor’s dangerous, commanding presence creates a compelling dynamic, especially as their bond deepens while Viktor is injured and vulnerable. Their passion feels immediate and consuming, and the writing makes it easy to slip into both of their minds, understanding their fears, desires, and shifting emotions with real clarity. I especially loved how vividly their thoughts and feelings were portrayed. The emotional pull between them is written with a softness that balances the darker, high‑stakes atmosphere surrounding Viktor’s situation. Even in the tension and danger, their growing attachment feels intimate and believable. A gripping blend of tenderness and danger, with writing that makes their inner worlds feel close enough to touch. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Bel's Bewildering Assistant by Athena Steller 3 of 5 stars

Bel's Bewildering Assistant: Underworld Mates

Bel's Bewildering Assistant: Underworld Mates by Athena Steller
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Demon Bel’s life changes when Atlas, a human who has been secretly following him, ends up in his office. Instead of danger, Atlas finds exactly what he’s been longing for — a home, a job, and the sense of family he’s never had. Bel instantly recognises Atlas as his fated mate and hires him to keep him close, surprised by how easily Atlas accepts the underworld and their bond. Their mating takes an unexpected turn when Bel becomes pregnant, something no one thought possible. Together, they must face challenges no other male couple has encountered, relying on their growing connection to hold them steady.

The mate bond between Bel and Atlas gives the story its strongest spark, creating an instant connection that carries them through every challenge. I enjoyed the way their world opened up as they called on different supernatural beings to help solve the mysteries surrounding them — it added fun variety and kept the plot moving even when the emotional beats felt lighter. Their relationship is tested by unexpected twists, and they handle each new obstacle with a united front, which makes their partnership easy to root for. However, the story didn’t offer much in the way of deeper character development or emotional complexity. Most of the feelings stayed on the surface, leaving the characters’ inner lives a bit underexplored. Still, the supernatural teamwork, the solid mate bond, and the steady commitment between Bel and Atlas made it an enjoyable, if not deeply layered, read. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Speak Now by R.S. McKenzie 3 of 5 stars

Speak Now

Speak Now by R.S. McKenzie
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Declan has always lived with anger simmering under his skin, a fire that only worsened after his best friend was killed. Avenging that death left him hollow and alone, with no one to trust when threats start closing in—until Nico steps into his life. What begins as Nico teasing the younger Whitlock at a kink club turns into a night neither of them can forget, and soon Nico discovers Declan is being blackmailed with no one to turn to. Determined to protect him, Nico keeps Declan’s secrets even from his overprotective brother, and the two grow closer as danger tightens around them. With a mafia war brewing and their feelings deepening, Declan and Nico—bodyguard and mafia son—must fight to keep each other safe and figure out whether their forbidden connection can become something real.

I came away from this one feeling a bit disappointed. The story dragged in places, slipping into a repetitive cycle of dislike and sniping between the two men that felt overdone and, at times, monotonous. Their dynamic relied so heavily on mutual irritation that it left little room for deeper character development or emotional nuance beyond the constant self‑inflicted angst. That said, the final stretch of the book was far stronger. Once the tension between them finally shifted into passion and genuine connection, the story became far more engaging and satisfying. Their chemistry does land — it just takes a long, bumpy road to get there. A romance with a rewarding ending, but one that requires patience to push through the slower, repetitive middle. This was an MM story with mature content.

A Den Mate for Dylan

A Den Mate for Dylan by Emory Winters
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When he’s forced to return home, he realises the feelings he tried to outrun are still very much alive. Axel has always told himself Dylan is off‑limits, but the moment Dylan left town, the loss hit him harder than he ever expected. Now that Dylan is back, the longing between them resurfaces instantly, stronger than before. With years of unspoken desire between them, Axel has to decide whether he’ll finally reach for the omega he’s always wanted — or risk losing him again.

This was a sweet, easy read with a dose of angst, especially in the way Dylan spent years torturing himself over Axel while Axel dated other people. The repeated “he’s my brother’s best friend” theme was silly in a charming, familiar way, but it did make their emotional loop feel a bit stuck at times. I loved seeing them finally end up together — it’s satisfying when long‑held pining pays off — but I found myself wishing for deeper character development beyond the mutual self‑torment. Their feelings were clear, but not always layered, and the emotions sometimes circled the same ground. Still, the story delivered on the yearning, the small‑town vibe, and the comfort of a long‑awaited connection finally snapping into place. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse.

Review: Be My Monster by Davidson King 5 of 5 stars

Be My Monster

Be My Monster by Davidson King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Penn, a man who can’t feel pain or fear, has spent his life drifting and hiding from a world that treats him like a monster. Everything changes when he rescues two children from a burning house — unknowingly saving the family of Gideon, a powerful mob boss and devoted single father. Determined to find the mysterious hero who saved his twins, Gideon is stunned to discover a man who awakens feelings he thought had died with his wife. As a brewing war threatens Gideon’s territory, the two men are pulled into danger together, forced to fight for survival and the unexpected bond growing between them.

I loved this story and what stood out most was the richly detailed look into Penn’s background — his isolation, his belief that he’s a monster, and the heartbreaking way his inability to feel pain or fear had shaped every part of his life. Those layers made him an unforgettable character, and seeing the world through his eyes added real emotional weight to the book. The rising war on the streets brought sharp tension, and the danger surrounding Gideon’s world built steadily until it exploded around them. I loved how the emotions of everyone involved were written — not just Penn and Gideon, but the children and the extended family too. Their fear, hope, and love were all vividly felt, grounding the action in something deeply human. A gripping blend of danger, emotion, and connection, with characters who stayed with you long after the final page. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Harlow by Aja Foxx 4 of 5 stars

Harlow

Harlow by Aja Foxx
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Harlow, the gentle giant of McKenzie River, has spent his life underestimated and overprotected, even as he quietly longs for Deputy Daniel Latham. Daniel, escaping his own controlling parents, is instantly drawn to Harlow despite warnings about his reputation. When Daniel is injured on a call, Harlow finds him, carries him to safety, and cares for him, deepening the bond between them. As their attraction grows, they must navigate Harlow’s protective family and the dangerous case Daniel is working, hoping they can earn a chance at a future together.

The connection between Harlow and Daniel is impossible to miss — gentle, steady, and growing stronger every time life throws something new at them. Their biggest battle isn’t with each other but with the world around them, especially Harlow’s fiercely protective family, who struggle to accept that someone new might love him just as deeply as they do. Watching the two men fight for the right to be together gives the story a heartfelt emotional core. Layered into their romance is the danger surrounding Daniel’s ongoing case, which slowly tightens around them until both men — and the McKenzie family — are pulled into the centre of the action. The mix of tenderness, tension, and genuine affection makes their journey gripping and full of feeling, and seeing them stand together through it all is incredibly satisfying. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Always the Villain by Brea Alepoú by Skyler Snow 4 of 5 stars

Always the Villain

Always the Villain by Brea Alepoú by Skyler Snow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cesare Vitale is a man the world sees as a legend — powerful, feared, and desperate to reclaim the throne he lost, even if it means severing what little remains of his family ties. But everything shifts when he meets Rafael, a man who sees the monster beneath the surface and still wants him. Drawn to someone he never expected to crave, Cesare finds himself questioning everything he’s built his life around. With danger and Vitale family chaos closing in, he’s forced to choose between the power he’s always chased and the love he never believed he could have.

This story delivers an intense, magnetic connection between Cesare and Rafael — the kind of pull that refuses to loosen even when danger, family loyalties, and old wounds try to tear them apart. Their chemistry is undeniable, but what really drives the book is the web of plots surrounding Cesare's family. Misdirection, secrets, and misunderstandings keep the tension high, and it becomes clear that the only way they’ll survive the chaos is by trusting each other completely. Watching them navigate power struggles, shifting alliances, and their own growing feelings made for a gripping, emotional read. In the end, it’s their partnership — fragile, fierce, and hard‑won — that gives the story its heart. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: His Pretty Omega by Raiven Matthews 3 of 5 stars

His Pretty Omega

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Seth starts the new year with a no‑strings, no‑names hookup with a gorgeous alpha — the perfect way to begin his year. But an urgent call pulls him away before morning, leaving only a note behind. Six weeks later, a positive pregnancy test turns his world upside down. Seth never wanted a baby or an alpha in his life, and now he has to decide what he truly wants and whether he can face it alone. Alex never expected to meet his fated mate on New Year’s Eve, let alone lose him before he even learned his name. When Seth suddenly storms into his office announcing he’s pregnant — and insisting he doesn’t need anything from him — Alex knows fate has handed him a second chance. He’s determined not to let his omega slip away again and sets out to prove they’re meant to build a future together.

Seth’s bratty, reactive energy was such a fun contrast to Alex’s calm, steady patience, and that dynamic made their relationship incredibly engaging to read. Seth pushes, snaps, and spirals, while Alex meets every moment with quiet care and unwavering tolerance — not in a patronising way, but with genuine affection. I also loved the attention given to both of their families. The dynamics, the support systems, the tensions, and the warmth added so much depth to the story and made their world feel full and lived‑in. An emotional, tender read with a delightful opposites‑attract vibe and two characters who fit together far better than either expected. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Finding Shelter by Charity Parkerson 4 of 5 stars

Finding Shelter

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kash never expects to be hired to protect his ex’s father, Ledger — or to feel an unexpected pull toward him. Ledger once thought Kash would be part of the family, but seeing him again stirs something far more complicated than resentment. As they’re thrown together, old assumptions crumble and a dangerous, undeniable attraction takes its place.

This story had such an undeniable pull between Kash and Ledger — the kind of slow, magnetic attraction that sneaks up on both men and refuses to be ignored. Their connection is laced with emotion, tenderness, and a surprising softness that builds beautifully as the walls between them come down. I loved how the story balanced heat with genuine feeling, letting both men reveal their vulnerabilities in ways that felt honest and deeply human. The emotional undercurrent is strong throughout, making their growing bond not just believable but incredibly moving. A heartfelt, tender romance full of longing, connection, and two men finding something they never expected in each other. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Knox by Aja Foxx 4 of 5 stars

Knox

Knox by Aja Foxx
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Knox, a hardened former military man, steps in when he finds Newt terrified and injured after an attack by his stepbrother. Protecting Newt awakens feelings and instincts he didn’t expect, drawing him toward the younger man’s quiet strength. At the McKenzie farm, Newt finally experiences kindness, but threats from his family push him toward running again. Knox refuses to let him face it alone, urging him to stand up for himself and promising to stay by his side — because McKenzies don’t abandon the people they love.

This story was packed with emotion, and what stood out most was the way Knox cared for Newt with such steady, protective devotion. Despite everything he’d endured, Newt showed incredible strength — surviving the abuse, finding his voice, and finally pushing back when his stepbrother and father went too far. Watching these two men, both hurting in different ways, slowly draw together was powerful and deeply moving. Their connection felt genuine and earned, and the emotional intensity between them made the story impossible to put down. A heartfelt, gripping read about healing, courage, and the love that grows when two people finally feel safe enough to reach for it. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Ever After Volume 2 by RJ Scott 5 of 5 stars

Ever After Volume 2

Ever After Volume 2 by RJ Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This collection brings together four emotional stories where love is tested by danger, secrets, and the courage to try again. Guarding Garrett follows a hockey star under threat and the former Marine assigned to protect him, a partnership that turns into something deeper when danger closes in. The Gallows Tree blends trauma and the supernatural as Cody flees abuse and finds both fear and unexpected love in a quiet English village with Sebastian. In The Bucket List, grief brings Jason and Mark together as they complete Jason’s brother’s travel dreams, discovering solace — and the possibility of love — along the way. Finally, The Summer House pairs a small‑town vet with an aristocratic playboy hiding from his past, where sparks fly but trust proves harder to earn. Across suspense, heartbreak, healing, and hope, this volume celebrates second chances and the many ways love can save us.

This collection delivers four powerful stories, each anchored by an undeniable connection between its central couple. The emotions running through these romances are beautifully written — tender, raw, and at times deeply moving. I especially felt this in The Summer House, where Connor’s journey brought genuine tears; his vulnerability and longing were so easy to understand and feel. Across all four stories, the chemistry is strong, the bonds feel earned, and the emotional stakes pull you in from the first page. A heartfelt, engaging volume that showcases love in all its complicated, healing forms. These were MM stories with mature content.

Review: Daddy's Precious Pets by Layla Dorine 3 of 5 stars

Daddy's Precious Pets

Daddy's Precious Pets by Layla Dorine
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Murry and Raleigh come from very different backgrounds, but foster care brought them together and turned them into the only family they truly trust. Now they’ve spent seven years dancing side by side at a strip club and exploring a part of themselves that lets them escape. When designer Dorian approaches them after a steamy performance and asks them to model his pet‑play clothing line — with the tempting bonus of drinking from Daddy Dorian — they jump at the chance, hoping it might lead to something more than just pretend.

This was such a tender, emotionally rich story, and what stood out most to me was the deep care and connection between all three men. Murry and Raleigh have spent years relying only on each other, so seeing them finally receive the love, stability, and affirmation they’ve always needed from a Daddy who embraces every side of them was incredibly moving. The dynamic between the three is full of warmth, trust, and gentle devotion, and the way their relationship grows feels both intimate and healing. I loved watching Murry and Raleigh open up to someone who truly sees them, and the emotional bonds between them all were so easy to feel and understand through the writing. A sweet, heartfelt story about found family, acceptance, and the kind of love that lets you finally breathe. This was an MMM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic with pet play and male lactation.

Review: Things I Wished We Said by Jacey Davis 5 of 5 stars

Things I Wished We Said

Things I Wished We Said by Jacey Davis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Koa never imagined he’d end up married to his best friend, Riot, and helping raise Riot’s seven siblings — even if the marriage is only for practical reasons. What he has imagined, though, is loving Riot in a way he’s never dared to admit. After years of hiding his feelings, keeping the truth to himself is getting harder, and when one secret slips out, the rest begin to unravel. Koa must finally decide whether honesty will cost him his best friend or open the door to the love he’s always wanted.

This was such a beautifully emotional story, and the connection between Koa and Riot is the heart of it. They both love each other deeply but hide it behind years of friendship, responsibility, and fear of losing what they already have. That quiet, aching devotion made their journey incredibly compelling. What truly stood out was the way they pulled together Riot’s seven siblings and created a home overflowing with love, stability, and tenderness. Every emotion — the exhaustion, the hope, the longing, the fierce protectiveness — was so easy to feel and understand through the writing. A heartfelt, intimate story about found family, unspoken love, and two men who finally realise they’ve been each other’s home all along. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: His Plaything by M.M. Farmer 3 of 5 stars

His Plaything

His Plaything by M.M. Farmer
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A shy omega, Linus, is tricked into attending a Dark Fantasies Club event in his twin brother’s place and ends up paired with Saint, a protective alpha with a painful past. Their unexpected chemistry collides with real danger when Linus’s brother’s criminal ties surface—right as Linus goes into heat. Together, Linus and Saint must survive a criminal gang, a surprise heat, and their growing bond.

This book delivers a surprisingly heartfelt punch beneath all the heat and chaos. Linus and Saint’s connection is the standout here—gentle, instinctive, and protective on both sides. Linus may be shy, but he has a quiet strength that Saint recognises immediately, and Saint’s steady, grounding presence gives Linus the safety he’s never had. Lucas, on the other hand, is deliciously awful. His manipulation and selfishness make him an easy villain to root against, and his actions throw Linus and Saint into danger that feels genuinely high‑stakes. What I loved most was how fiercely Linus and Saint protect each other. It’s not just alpha instinct or omega vulnerability—it’s two wounded people choosing to stand together. Their bond grows fast, but it feels earned, tender, and exactly what each of them needs. This was an MM story with mature content set in the Omegaverse with MPREG.
