Even after fifty years apart, it’s clear that fate isn’t finished with them, no matter how much they try to protect themselves. The emotional depth is rich throughout, especially as their world expands to include gods, supernatural politics, and shifting mate dynamics. Those layered story arcs add tension and intrigue, but it’s the touching moments between Aspen and Leif — and between other characters as well — that give the book its heart. A sweeping, emotional paranormal romance where love refuses to fade and destiny keeps circling back, no matter how much time has passed. This was an MM story with mature content.
