Review: The Blind Date by Jen Talty 4 of 5 stars

The Blind Date (Paranormal Dating Agency World; Twilight Crossing #1)The Blind Date by Jen Talty
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Werewolf Chaz Ferguson is a member of the Twilight Crossing Council and has spent the last ten years policing the paranormal world. When he is forced to take a vacation, and with no idea what to do with his time, a friend arranges for him to meet Gerri Wilder at the Paranormal Dating Agency promising him it will change his life (which he really does not want). Teacher Daphne Jade has never been lucky with men for her whole life and always seems to attract weird people. When she takes a date arranged by Gerri Wilder she has no idea she will be dating a paranormal, that he will be a werewolf and even more that he is actually her soul mate. To add to the strangeness of the whole situation, it turns out that Daphne is not what she thought he was either. How is this meeting of Chaz and Daphne going to go?

Wow - this was certainly a smoking hot story of the meeting of two people and the events that happened to bind them together. I liked the element of Daphne not being human and how that was discovered and how that related to Chaz and his family. I did struggle with this twist on the mating of two people which was very different from any other author I have read. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Bearback Lumberjack by Liv Brywood 5 of 5 stars

Bearback Lumberjack (Paranormal Dating Agency)Bearback Lumberjack by Liv Brywood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bear shifter Angela is sick of living in a city and desperately needs to get out in the country. She also needs a man who can be a mate to her and make sure that her needs are met. So she goes to Gerri Wilder and registers with her. As part of that, she agrees to take 2 weeks off her job and go stay with a man in the middle of the woods to see if they can get along - after all looking at his picture he is incredibly hot. Bear shifter Jagger is sick and tired of his brother nagging him to find a mate - he was in love once and it fell apart so he is not prepared to try again - he'll carry on alone thank you! But to appease his brother he signed up with an agency and has agreed for a woman to stay with him. He'll just cope for the time she is there, avoid her as much as he can, then send her back. But when he meets Angela his bear goes wild and insists she is his mate - the problem is he is far too scared to fall in love with anyone again. Can fate decide their destiny?

I loved this story. Jagger was so determined to not fall in love with Angela and in the end, he just could not fight the mating bond and his growing addiction to her. I loved the way he reacted when she went for a walk and the weather changed and I think that was when his downfall started. Well written, this was a fairly quick and easy read that definitely involved a lot of emotions and conflicted thinking for Jagger. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Red Alert by Tina Moss 4 of 5 stars

Red Alert (Paranormal Crimes Division, #2)Red Alert by Tina Moss
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shifter and Special Agent Jame Bradshaw is the newest team leader for the Paranormal Crimes Division. She is dealing with a situation involving a mass murder in the Capitol building which has put the city on red alert and the urgency for her to solve this case quickly is immense. Vampire Drake is 150 years old and was a vigilante but is now a new PCD agent. On his arrival, the case heats up as does the sexual tension between them. Trying to find out if there is a traitor in the PCD she also has to call a Code Red (the highest level) as they battle to find out who is behind the murders. Jame has another battle going on in the background - she needs to let down her defences and use the passion between her and Drake into a true partnership before she loses far more than just her badge. Can they work it all out?

I loved this story which had multiple story streams all running in parallel and weaving in and out of each other. I loved the underlying attraction between Jame and Drake which thankfully was resolved in this book (it started in the previous book when Drake had rescued her). It's certainly building up and I just wonder how it is going to twist and turn in the next instalment of this story. Well written and easy to read and understand. I don't think you absolutely have to read the previous book in the series although it will help you to understand some of the characters and dynamics between them. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Loki A Paranormal Romance with Norse Gods, Tricksters, and Fated Mates (Gods on Earth Book 2) by J.C. Andrijeski 5 of 5 stars

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loki was feeling pleased with himself - he had stolen a magical ring called Andvaranaut from under the noses of Thor and Odin plus his own son Jörmungandr. But walking through a market in Nepal, a woman stole it from him in a very fleeting instant. Hot on her trail he is determined to get his ring back even if he has to punish her in ways that they might both enjoy. As he starts to learn more about Lia Winchester he realises that she is a professional thief, proficient liar, escape artist and very very sexy. Maybe they can partner on a heist of their own in the future?

Wow - this book was smoking hot from the start to the finish. Loki was completely mesmerised by Lia firstly with anger that she had stolen from him and then with lust and a fascination into what was a strong and very clever woman. I loved the way that Loki had a sense of honour and there were definite lines that he was not prepared to cross (let alone allow others to cross either). I loved the way that it appeared that he had crossed Lia near the end, but then she was able to work out that he actually hadn't and what he had really done (very clever). Well written and easy to read I was addicted to this story and definitely read into the early hours of the morning because I just could not put it down. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Taming London by Milly Taiden 4 of 5 stars

Taming London (Warwick Dragons, #1)Taming London by Milly Taiden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

London Warwick is a dragon shifter and millionaire playboy. He lives a life of indulgence sleeping with a different woman every night and has absolutely no plans to change his bad-boy ways. Even when his mother decides he needs to revamp his image so that he is successful in finding his mate - something he definitely has no plans to do. And so he decides to make it very difficult for the PR expert that he mother hires for him to clean up his image. PR Consultant Bethany Russo has had a crush on London Warwick for years and is determined to ignore that and only be professional while she sorts out his image - the last thing she wants to do is become another notch on his bedpost by being another of his conquests. The only issue is that as soon as he meets her he realises that she actually is his mate and he really needs to handle this carefully. Sparks fly between them both and there are plenty of stolen kisses and hidden secrets along the way. Every time Bethany opens her heart to London something goes wrong - can a cold case murder and international hitman stand in the way of this romance or will they find their HEA?

This was a lovely story of misunderstandings, irresistible attraction and intense danger. Throughout it all, I was hoping that they would find a way to trust each other, resolve the cold case and have a HEA. It was well written as I could sense and feel the thoughts and emotions of the characters as they went through the events in the story. Really enjoyable and I am looking forward to reading the next one in the series about another of the Warwick brothers. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Their Royal Compromise (Paranormal Dating Agency) by Godiva Glenn 4 of 5 stars

Their Royal Compromise (Paranormal Dating Agency) (Otherworld Shifters, #2)Their Royal Compromise (Paranormal Dating Agency) by Godiva Glenn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fae Fianni is the aspect of Harmony and has been looking for love for a while, and so after ending another relationship that was going nowhere, she consults Gerri Wilder from the Paranormal Dating Agency. Dragon shifter Liam is the king of Nova Solara and rules along with his council Risk and Arron. They are all sexy and as alpha dragons often fight each other when not fighting everyone else.
After arriving there, Fianni finds herself in the middle of an insurrection and is surprised to find out that the three have to find just the one single mate for all of them or they'll lose the crown. She starts to wonder to herself - do they want true love or is she just a royal compromise?

This was definitely a dramatic story as we had the merging of the story of the insurrection, the three dragons and their relationship to each other, Fianna and her own thoughts of herself and relationships, her relationship to each of the three dragons as well as her relationship between the three of them as a single entity. There was certainly a lot going on and a lot that was eventually resolved after the usual mixture of mixed messages, assumptions and misunderstandings. In the end, everything was happily resolved and I believe they will make great progress with any outstanding issues. Well written and very enjoyable. Contains explicit sexual content and FMMM sexual descriptions.

Review: Midnight Star by Ophelia Bell 4 of 5 stars

Midnight Star (Paranormal Dating Agency / Aurora Champions, #4)Midnight Star by Ophelia Bell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dragon shifter Astra Garrick is known as the Midnight Star and is the Nova Aurora Arena League’s reigning solo champion. Her brother was known as Ebon Claw and was also an Arena League champion. He was killed by an opponent using poison to eliminate him. So it is devastating when a title-hungry opponent of her own attacks her using the same drug that killed her brother. So now she is on a quest to try to find the source of the toxin which is either crippling or killing dozens of the champions on Nova Aurora, however, as part of that quest she never expected the matchmaker Gerri Wilder to send along with her two other shifters - the first is her brother's best friend and her former childhood crush and the second is a former champion who was associated with the toxin. Now they are on their way to Earth where the truth lies and a love that might compromise them all!

There were a lot of paths and individuals involved in this story which was definitely interesting to read as you worked through the whodunit with them all in order to find the true source of the toxin. There were a few dangers and dramas along the way, and the characters managed to work their way through it all in order to find a solution to whatever was in their way. I definitely enjoyed the mystery side of things and to a certain extent the relationship side of things. I did, however, lose the point of things at the end after an event involving a fire which was not logical and not very likely. Well written and easy to understand. Contains explicit sexual content involving multiple sexual partners.

Review: Captive of Wolves by Eva Chase 4 of 5 stars

Captive of Wolves (Bound to the Fae Book 1)Captive of Wolves by Eva Chase
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Talia is a human who was taken after her family were killed by three fae who have kept her in a small cage where she is brutalised and half-starved only to harvest some of her blood every month. Then one evening, four gorgeous men break her out of her prison and take her home with them so that she has a big room, a soft bed and delicious food. She just wonders what the price of that protection is. Then he realises that her rescuers are the same as her captors - fae who shift into wolves who are subject to the same curse where during the times of the full moon only Talia's blood can cure them of their rage. As she learns more about them she starts to understand that a tragedy in the past made them outcasts and if they offered her to the rulers they would get back all of the power that they lost. So even though they look at her with heat in their eyes and she gets unfamiliar urges around them, she is well aware that the keep she is in is just a gilded prison where she is just a prize. Determined not to give in, can Talia make for a better life with these fae?

This was a good start to this new series which seems to be a mash-up between a fae, shifter and reverse harem all rolled into one. I liked the way that Talia was feisty even though she had been kept as a prisoner for so many years. I also liked the way that the fae all found their own way of having some kind of relationship with her. Well written and clear and easy to understand. It had a little sexual content in the story. It ended with an event that will cause major issues in the next book in the series.

Review: Purrfectly Caught by C.D. Gorri 5 of 5 stars

Purrfectly Caught (Paranormal Dating Agency / Maverick Pride, #4)Purrfectly Caught by C.D. Gorri
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tiger shifter Kylie finally found a new Pride and friends in Maverick Point and her lingerie range Kisses By Kylie has taken the e-commerce world by storm. Michael Turner (Mikey) is the Pride Healer and is keeping a close watch on the Nari as she is close to her due date - even if he needs to woo his mate who is very reluctant as she believes that is the best way to keep the pride safe from those who are evil and from her past. When the Paranormal Dating Agency's Gerri Wilder comes to the pride saying that her old pride wants her back Mikey has to make a decision which will put him directly at odds with Kylie (even though it plays into his hands allowing him to catch her). Will everything go smoothly for them all?

This book certainly had danger, drama and excitement all the way through the story as there were the three elements of Mikey getting Kylie, them dealing with Kylie's past and the impending birth of the Nari's baby. Well written and very enjoyable. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Purrfectly Trapped by C.D. Gorri 4 of 5 stars

Purrfectly Trapped (Paranormal Dating Agency / Maverick Pride, #3)Purrfectly Trapped by C.D. Gorri
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hairdresser Gretchen has always looked for love and hopes her luck will change now she has moved to a new location and finally taken the plunge and opened up her own new salon. When her salon - Cut It Out - opens her first client is a tall, gorgeous man needing a serious trim and a shave. As her new employees haven't started yet she has to take care of him herself - if only she could concentrate on what she is doing and not on him! Tiger shifter Reg has been focused on making amends from his past mistakes which are not great when he is chosen as the personal guard for the Nari of the Maverick Pride. Gerri Wilder from the Paranormal Dating Agency comes to visit the Nari and orders him to the new salon for a quick haircut and shave. As soon as he walks into the salon his tiger recognises Gretchen as his mate - the problem being she has no idea that shifters exist. Time for thought as he won't rest until his fiery little brunette is purrfectly trapped.

Once again Gerri does her magic for a member of the Maverick Pride. This time Reg is going to find it a Herculean battle to work everything out with Gretchen and get her to understand who and what he is. There was even more drama and excitement as there were a lot of mixed signals and misunderstandings between them both as they worked out the details of their relationship. Well written and easy to read. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: It's the Great Dragon Molly Brown by Julia Mills 3 of 5 stars

It's the Great Dragon Molly Brown (Dragon Guard Holiday Love Stories Book 1)It's the Great Dragon Molly Brown by Julia Mills
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

For witch Molly Brown, her pumpkins are ready and are bigger than any year in history - which is great because it is time for this year's "The Brown Family Pumpkin Patch Pick-A-Beauty and Win a Jack-O-Lantern for Life Party-stravaganza". Then she realises that there is someone in her pumpkin patch and so she rushes out with only her trusty cat Cleo on her shoulder only to see the scales of the Great Dragon before he disappeared again. Can she sort out what is going on?

I love the Dragon Guards but I definitely really disliked the style of this book. I found the accented and self conversational style of the writing of this just irritating. However, ignoring that, I loved the premise of the story and the events that happened and how they ended. There were drama and excitement as well as a pairing of perfect partners that just could not be denied. Contains some sexual content.

Review: Purrfectly Kissed by C.D. Gorri 4 of 5 stars

Purrfectly Kissed (Paranormal Dating Agency / Maverick Pride, #2)Purrfectly Kissed by C.D. Gorri
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bear shifter Brayden Smith is the Beta of the Maverick Pride, and has no desire to find a mate as the first time he tried it all he ended up getting as a result was hurt and loneliness. Jessica Maverick is a tiger shifter and the sister of the Pride Neta. She has always searched for her fated mate since she was small and it seems so much harder as her brother constantly puts her off-limits in the small town of Maverick Point. So when the Paranormal Dating Agency's Gerri Wilder provides Braden with the advice that he needs to take Jessica out on a date he finds himself in a position where he cannot refuse. Will the determined Tigress capture the reclusive Bear and get a chance to be Purrfectly Kissed?

I really liked this story which had many of the ingredients of a great shifter romance novel - there were reluctance, fate, drama, danger and a HEA at the end. Brayden sounds wonderful and the kind of guy we all would be very happy to have. Well written and easy to read, this was a very enjoyable story. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Jace by Alisa Woods 4 of 5 stars

Jace (Riverwise Private Security, #2)Jace by Alisa Woods
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ex-Army Specialist Jace River cannot control his wolf and so sleeps with a lock on his bedroom door. It also means he cannot risk shifting and so never truly be part of the pack. Plus even worse, there is also no way he could ever take a mate. Feisty Piper Wilding works for the army in counterintelligence travelling the world which has the distinct advantage of keeping her away from any pressure to take a mate (especially after what happened to her mother) plus her asshole father in Seattle. Pipper returns to try and find her missing brother and starts by breaking into the safe house used by the Rivers brothers'. When Jace finds her sparks fly and claws come out especially when her sexy skills threaten to bring out his wolf. The combination of Jace and Piper is like fire and gasoline and as they work together to try and find Piper's brother the heat threatens to burn down both of their carefully constructed walls - the problem is that them being together is dangerous and there is a definitely a risk that neither of them will survive.

Wow, this story was smoking hot and the combination of Jace and Piper was just explosive. I loved the way that Piper was able to calm down his wolf and some of the revelations of this story which helped Jace to understand exactly what did happen in his past. Well written and easy to understand, it definitely helps if you have already read the previous book in the series. I definitely became addicted to the story and invested in it and was praying that they could find a way to be together. The father certainly was a piece of work who will deserve every punishment he might receive in the future. Does contain some sexual content.

Review: Thor by J.C. Andrijeski 5 of 5 stars

Thor by J.C. Andrijeski
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Web designer Silvia Hope was in a drag bar with a friend when she saw a blue-eyed hot guy who was naked and carrying a large hammer suddenly appear across from her. She then followed him as he walked out of the bar to a square. She saw another guy then appear and they got into a fight. It appears the original guy is the god Thor and the second guy is the dragon god Jörmungandr who then embedded a magical item into Silvia's throat. The bottom line is that Silvia might die if it is not taken out and Thor tries everything he can think of to get it out of her - including taking her to Asgard and having sex with her in the hope that his essence will help stop the effects. Silvia now realises that she has lost the battle to protect her heart and that it has already gone to Thor. Can a god and a mortal have a future together and have a happy ever after? This was a very dramatic story that took the reader on a very short and quick journey through some of the Norse gods and the relationships between them. I liked the way that Thor had no idea of how to behave and what certain things were and meant, and I also liked the relationship between Thor and Silvia and the origins of that. I loved the solution that was presented at the and I hope that the next book in the series is as good as this one. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Fury of Angels by J.C. Andrijeski 5 of 5 stars

Fury of Angels (Angels in L.A. #3)

Fury of Angels by J.C. Andrijeski
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Angel Dags has discovered that his oldest friend appears to be Lucifer, the Angel of Darkness which definitely means that the demons that Dags is fighting are actually serving their master Lucifer. Dags might have to kill him but then discovered that he can't kill him as there is an arcane rule that angels can't kill other angels. Now he has gone underground and so apart from training Dags is trying to find him as he knows at some point he will have to face him. Then his friend and LAPD homicide cop calls asking for Dags to check out a new murder in Koreatown which she believes have supernatural origins as it is so grisly. She believes that a dark angel is involved and Dags has to agree that it is probably his old friend. Things are likely got get weirder with the involvement of arcane witches, angel worshipping cults and a lot of things he wasn't ready to know about himself and Phoenix who he is still trying to protect. This is definitely going to get even more dramatic than he suspected.

I loved this story which was full of so many twists and turns as Dags discovered new information and both benefits and limitations in being an angel. I loved the way that he eventually had to move forward with the relationship between him and Phoenix and that she was far stronger than he ever imagines she would be in handling all of the changes that being an angel introduces. I loved the protectiveness of Dags and the strength of Phoenix which I look forward to seeing more of later in the series. Well written and easy to read and feel all of the thoughts and emotions experienced by the characters. Contains some sexual content. I can't wait to find out what happens next now.

Review: Crooked Magic by Eva Chase 5 of 5 stars

Crooked MagicCrooked Magic by Eva Chase
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When the magical community had been torn in two, Cressida Warbury walked out on her family and stood with their enemies. After two years have passed, she was still at Blood-U and tutoring of Noah who is one of the heirs to a baron. Her parents still send her hateful spells and her peers still view her with suspicion. With news of a plot by the other side to destroy the side she chose via a dark and brooding Emeric and any peace that she knows, Cressida agrees to reconnect with the other side and act as a spy in order to work out what they are going to do. With the heir and the mysterious brooding man who brought the news, she is way over her head. Can she win the day or will she lose everything including her life?

It's lovely to read another book in the Blood-U universe featuring Cressida, Noah and Emeric. There were a fair few twists, turns and lots of drama in this book which also seemed to involve a reasonable amount of struggles with emotions and thoughts by Cressida as she tried to sort through what she was doing and why. I can definitely see some kind of love triangle forming and look forward to seeing what happens next. Well written, this was easy to understand and feel. Ends on a cliff-hanger and so I definitely need to find out what happens next.

Review: Axel by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Axel (SEALs of Honor #24)Axel by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Axel's latest assignment is to help in an underwater rescue of an experimental submarine that not working and is low on oxygen. When they get there it is nothing like they expected - instead, they find that everyone on the crew is dead except for the one member and those deaths were caused by being shot. The surviving one is badly injured and the big mystery is what happened down there. Allee woke up in a hospital and can barely remember how she got there. She has a very fuzzy memory of what happened onboard and that is not going to help her case when she as the one survivor is the sole focus of the investigation by the authorities. As the investigation turns to her as the cause it gets so much worse when whoever caused it decides that a dead patsy is better than one who can talk. Can Axel keep Allee alive and find out exactly who is to blame for the tragedy onboard the sub?

This was certainly a dramatic story that covered many emotions from danger to revenge and love all in the same story. I liked the way that Axel's protection instincts kicked in for Allee and by working together they then were able to convert that to a relationship and love. Lots of mystery around who was behind the killings and the notice for it which took a fair bit of investigation as well as memories in order to work it all out. Well written and very enjoyable. Contains some sexual content at the end of the story.

Review: Rowan by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Rowan (The K9 Files #10)Rowan by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Recovering ex-SEAL Rowan has gone to look for retired and old K9 friend Hershey in the hopes of also healing the deep emptiness within himself. However, what he never expected was that Hershey would have found a new friend with puppies of her own. Lab tech Brandi has lost her beloved grandmother, her home and her best four-legged friend Lacey in a terrible forest fire. Everyone told her not to give up on Lacey as she will probably reappear later. So she spends every spare moment she has looking for her. When she finds someone else looking for a dog in the same area she agrees to join forces. However, when things suddenly change and become ugly she is very glad to have someone by her side because she had never seen anything like this and wouldn't stand a chance without his help. Can they solve the mysteries that are around her and change the bad situation into something good?

This was a lovely story where things quickly degraded into danger and it was only through luck and Rowan with the help of Hershey that they all survived. There were certainly a web of lies and evilness around poor Brandi and it took everything that Rowan and the guys back at the base had to get to the bottom of things. Well written and easy to read and understand. There was some sexual content in the story.

Review: Cocky Doc by Samantha Lind 3 of 5 stars

Cocky Doc (Cocky Hero Club)Cocky Doc by Samantha Lind
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Megan might be disabled but she is determined never to let that hold her back and today is her first day in her new job as a child life specialist in a hospital. Whilst getting supplies, the sexiest and most eligible doctor in the hospital (Dr Andrew “Drew” Montgomery) literally falls into her lap. After profuse apologies, they see each other around the hospital whilst doing their jobs just as colleagues. Over time they start dating and Drew turns out to be the most perfect man seeing past her wheelchair and always doing things so that it feels like she is normal. Everything is fine but he always seems to hold himself back and clearly he is married to his job. With good intentions, she meant to keep her guard up but it seems as soon has his blue eyes land on her she is over her head. Can she trust her heart to the cocky doctor?

This was a charming story that had a huge amount of promise with the lead female character in a wheelchair but somehow missed the mark. It was nice to have the sections where he eased the muscles in her legs and carried her, but I felt that there was more that could've been done. A lot of the complications were all internal thoughts and battles and I felt it could've been enhanced with a jealous ex or someone causing trouble between them. Ignoring those issues, it was still a lovely romantic story and I'm sure we all had our very own Drew. Easy to read and understand. Contains some sexual content.

Review: Luring Light by K.E. Osborn 5 of 5 stars

Luring Light (Royal Bastards MC: Tampa, FL, #2)Luring Light by K.E. Osborn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Void is the VP of the RB Tampa chapter MC and ever since she arrived with her sister Eva he has been captivated and protective of her sister Ivy. He has built up this picture of her being pure and untouchable in his head which frustrates her immensely - she just wants him. Can they work things out and be together?

This was certainly a very enjoyable MC book. I loved the various battles - some of them were of will between people and sometimes physical between people all around Ivy. Throughout it all, she was a very feisty woman who was certainly not prepared to be a victim, be demure and pure and certainly not be the minor player in any relationship. It was great to see Void have feelings and become more human around Ivy. Lots of drama, excitement, crossed signals between people and love rivalry, it was topped off with a visit from Void's past and the dramatic resolution to that. Clearly written and easy to feel and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Winning Paradise by Mireille Chester 4 of 5 stars

Winning Paradise (Crimson Moon Hideaway)Winning Paradise by Mireille Chester
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Elf and Detective Natalie Greenleaf was thrilled when she won a trip to the Crimson Moon Hideaway Resort as it would give her a chance to rest somewhere where she didn't have to hide her true nature from humans. Bear shifter Gage Loneclaw is a loner as he was exiled from his clan at a young age for refusing to follow orders that he felt were wrong. Instead, he has a quiet piece of land and his bees and so sells honey at the local farmers market. When he gets a call to say he has won a holiday to a five-star paranormal holiday resort he assumes there has been a mistake but a nagging thought has him accepting the trip and travelling there. When they meet it appears that Fate has had a hand and that they are mates - something that neither had ever thought was possible. However, the past from both their lives has reared it's ugly head and they first need to survive in order to get the future that they have been promised.

This was an interesting story that had a great plot and although I did enjoy it, I felt it could have somehow grabbed my attention a bit more than it actually did. I loved the way their pasts merge in a way that came to a head as their future together was just starting, but I did find the focus on the lawyer a little too much which was confusing at times. Generally well written, it was easy to read and understand what was happening. Contains some sexually explicit content.

Time Wasn't Ready (Crimson Moon Hideaway; Women of the Fold #1)Time Wasn't Ready by Terri A. Wilson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Witch Garnet Wisteria has been the head of security for The Fold and even though there is one final case outstanding she is being forced into taking retirement. She really doesn't want to stop doing what she is good at but feels that she owes it to Samuel to give it a chance. Panther shifter Samuel Morrison is also Garnet's bonded familiar and has always known she is his mate. Looking forward to retirement, he hopes that this is a time for them and that he can now tell her exactly how he feels about her and make her his mate - he just needs to find a time to tell her. So they are both sent to the Crimson Moon Hideaway in order to have a vacation together so they can start their retirement. While Garnet focuses on the hunky bartender Samuel starts to prepare for talking to her about his feelings. However, some criminals never go away nor give-up. Can Garnet overcome all of her doubts and live to her true potential while sharing her heart with the man who gave up his life for her?

I loved this story which really tugged at the heartstrings as you because really invested in the story mainly from Samuel's point of view but also had empathy with Garnet's. I loved the drama and excitement with all of the events that happened to the couple (whether separately or together) and could really empathise with most of what they were thinking or feeling. Well written, this was easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Author and panther shifter Maxwell Bourland has a major problem - something appears to be sapping his creativity and although he has elaborate plots in his head when he falls asleep, by morning it has all vanished. So he flees to the paranormal resort of Crimson Moon Hideaway hoping that the break will shake whatever has him in its clutches. Tired of inspiring others, muses Thalia and Calliope take a vacation to the Crimson Mood Hideaway where they can take some quality time off. However, while they plot to lure a hotel lifeguard from his tower and female fan club they notice a slumped man trudging through the resort with a slight shimmer around his body. Now their interest is completely peaked- who is this man and why are they so drawn to him?

This started off feeling like a slightly monotonous story, which as I got into it became far more interesting as I became more and more invested in the characters. I liked the way that the reason for his writing problems came to light and how the muses managed to solve it. A lot of drama at the end of the story and a satisfying HEA at the end. Review: Crimson Moon Hideaway: Chimera's Edge by Renee Hewitt 5 of 5 stars

Crimson Moon Hideaway: Chimera's EdgeCrimson Moon Hideaway: Chimera's Edge by Renee Hewitt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Chimera Effie Follett is at Crimson Moon Hideaway for the weekend on a business trip but she also has some time to enjoy a little rest and relaxation at the exclusive hot resort for paranormals. However, unlike the other guests, she won't be letting her shifter side out as she has learnt that a Chimera scares people and so she won't be ruining their holidays. Silver dragon shifter and the prince of a Greek island, Jace Argyros is heir to his clan and just wants to escape his duty and have fun for the weekend. When he meets Effie he is drawn to her immediately. Will their secrets get them singed and can a chimera and a dragon be happily ever after? Only time will tell if Jianna will regret bringing together both of them.

OMG, this was a great story with so many reasons as to why everything between them would not work but together they really were smoking hot! I loved the interplay between them, all the secrets, the politics, the chaos and the final resolution which just exactly what I wanted to happen. Well written, easy to read and understand, and definitely a book that I couldn't put down. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Queen of Legacy by Veronica Shade by Rebecca Hamilton 5 of 5 stars

Queen of LegacyQueen of Legacy by Veronica Shade by
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Madison is convinced that saving the Soule Coven starts with rescuing the one statue from the academy grounds she had been communicating with but it seems that the grounds are impenetrable at the moment. Add to that the fact that they are hunting for Madison and it makes what they need to do so much harder. So she risks everything to reach an urban legend in Salem to ask for help. As part of that quest, she unveils some family secrets that she had never wanted to know and so decides to go into a den for ancient Celtic gods and goddesses in order to convince them to help her. However, having risked her own life to get help will it be enough to go up against those at La Voisin?

This installation of the story was definitely filled wall to wall with surprises, danger, drama and excitement. Certainly some of the surprises I definitely didn't see coming and it put a whole new perspective on some earlier aspects of the story. The book had a rather dramatic finish and so I really can't wait to find out what happens next. Well written, it was easy to read and understand. I felt completely invested in the story and so really need to know what happens next.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Review: Crimson Moon Hideaway: Dragon Falling by Julia Mills 4 of 5 stars

Crimson Moon Hideaway: Dragon Falling (Dragon Intelligence Agency Book 1)Crimson Moon Hideaway: Dragon Falling by Julia Mills
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Witch Ellie MacLeish has mourned the loss of her parents for three years now and failed to find the people responsible for their murders. So her remaining family of her sister and aunt are everything to her. Dragon shifter and agent Ranger Evans was assigned to investigate the murder of the two powerful witches and so was taken aback when in the investigation he met his mate. Three years later and recovering from a near-fatal injury from the people who were responsible for the murders, he is no closer to claiming his mate either. Danger lurks in unlikely places even at the Crimson Moon Resort, so he might think it is safe to be there as he is no closer to working out who is behind the witch murders. Destiny is obviously not talking to help with the case either, but fate really won't be denied for much longer and it seems neither will sexy agent Evans. Can they get to the bottom of the murders and move on to better times?

It was lovely to get another dragon shifter style book with another dragon finding his mate. I loved the underlying story of who was behind the murders and the answer as to who it actually was. I liked the dynamic between Ellie and Ranger although I did find the eventual joining together between them a little sudden and thought it would have taken a bit longer. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: A Billionaire Prince Romance Boxed Set: The Complete Series by Erin Hayes 4 of 5 stars

A Billionaire Prince Romance Boxed Set: The Complete Series: The Royal Trade, The Royal Pain, The Royal Mistake, The Royal TreatmentA Billionaire Prince Romance Boxed Set: The Complete Series: The Royal Trade, The Royal Pain, The Royal Mistake, The Royal Treatment by Erin Hayes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

#1 The Royal Trade - 5*
Cara met Phillip at University and he's the man of her dreams. He is also the prince of an island nation in the Mediterranean. They are engaged and she is living a dream life until it all comes crashing down when he publicly cheats on her. She's distraught and has to run away when she is met at the airport by his brother Eric who offers her the chance to run away from it all to have time to think about everything. Will they manage to stay hidden and can Eric win her because he saw her first and has loved her ever since then? Will Cara be able to love again and will she see Eric as the right brother for her?

This is a charming love story with lots of raw emotions and great descriptions of where they are and what they did to take their minds off of everything at their destination. The ending was very sweet and I definitely felt the emotion.

#2 The Royal Pain - 5*
Phillip is trying to move on quietly after a public break-up from his ex-fiancee - the problem is as a billionaire and a prince that is not exactly easy to achieve. Then he meets a beautiful media CEO who is more famous than he is - however she is not interested in helping him with his redemption - just in being a royal pain.

This was a lovely story that continued the story after the previous book and focused on Phillip and how he handles the fallout of his infidelity, break-up and then marriage between his ex-fiancee and his younger brother. He certainly had a lot to handle and was starting to sort himself out when he meets Jess and his world is spun on its axis. It was well written and nicely explained. I think she was very tolerant of the person who published as I think I would have thrown the book at them.

#3 The Royal Mistake - 5*
Prince Henry and Cat meet and after more than a few drinks have a wild one nightstand. The next morning he is his usual pompous racing car driver self and Cat leaves to go back to New York and continue her focus on her career. When Jessica (Cat's old boss) invites her to Dubreva to work for her again she meets a recovering Prince Henry after an accident and he is determined to rekindle what happened between them that night. Her news of 2 pink lines on a stick adds to the complication of the whole situation.

I loved this story. The story was very involved and complicated in the situation between them as well as their own stories. Everything was well written and the emotions were very clearly described so that I could feel them myself. I was definitely rooting for them both and that they would be able to sift through their thoughts and feelings to reach the conclusion I wanted them to get to.

#4 The Royal Treatment - 4*
Prince Ferdinand knew he wasn't important in the line of succession and was fine with that. When he met diplomat's daughter Alexandra Daae who was destined to marry his cousin, it was him she fell for and they were all ready to break all the rules for love when tragedy struck and the future they had dreamed of was shattered. He is still not over it even 15 years later when his younger brother has a baby with his partner and he just has to leave Dubreva for a while to deal with the heartache. Miraculously he spots Alexandra there and everything starts to change for the better. Can fate finally be on their side?

This was a sweet story and on the face of it was very enjoyable, but the merging of the past and the present in the same chapter of the book became a little irritating in the end. So I enjoyed the story but then I also didn't enjoy some aspects of it which were a shame as they came to the conclusion that I knew was right (even if I hadn't really understood why certain things happened in the past). A nice story which was enjoyable if you bear in mind the shifts in the timeline.

Review: Her Twisted Heart: Paranormal Dating Agency by Melanie James 4 of 5 stars

Her Twisted Heart: Paranormal Dating Agency (Twisted Tail Pack Book 3)Her Twisted Heart: Paranormal Dating Agency by Melanie James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Callie Dupree refused to make the mistake of dating a shifter again - in fact, she has sworn off dating completely. So when a mysterious man constantly shows up in her dreams, she decides to do the best she can to ignore it and carry on with life as normal. After all, nothing bad will happen if she gives in to him in her dreams - it's not real, surely. Wolf shifter Wyatt Lockhart is going mad with dreams of his mate. She is bold in bed, beautiful beyond belief, however, he is stunned that the fates have paired him up with a human instead of a shifter. If he could get her to change to suit his needs she would be the perfect mate. Surely that will be simple to achieve?

The past to true love never runs smoothly and in this case that is definitely true! Callie is very against being with a shifter and Wyatt has a complete and utter lack of tact. Fireworks definitely flew as they sorted out their different perspectives and handled the odd piece of danger and drama. Well written and easy to understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Bearly Twisted by Melanie James 4 of 5 stars

Bearly Twisted (Paranormal Dating Agency Kindle World Novella; Twisted Tail Pack #2)Bearly Twisted by Melanie James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bailey Jones was quite happy living in the city and all that it entails but when her friend Gerri Wilder suggests a weekend road trip it actually turns out to be an elaborate setup. The result is that Bailey has to choose between her one true mate or the life that she has worked hard at building up. Can she say goodbye to everyone and everything for a shot at true love? Bear shifter Gavin Neely was a loner hiding out via some ancient majik to conceal his true nature so he can live with a wolf pack and the life he has always wanted. All of that is going to change when he gets the scent of his true mate but will the wolves turn on him or accept him as he really is?

This was a lovely story where Gerri does her magic for a friend to make sure that she is happy and has the life that she should have. I loved the way that fate couldn't be denied and the drama and danger in the story as he worked with the wolf pack to control some rebels. I really liked the way that everything came together at the end of the story to utilise all sorts of friends and acquaintances of the pack in order to help with the ones who were injured. Well written and easy to read. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Triple Talons by Ophelia Bell 4 of 5 stars

Triple Talons (Paranormal Dating Agency; Aurora Champions, #3)Triple Talons by Ophelia Bell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dragon shifter Simina Taji has had no use for mates ever since hers died in area combat last year. She is purely focussed on his memory although the promise she made to him on his deathbed troubles her - to have the baby they had always wanted. So she goes to Gerri Wilder at the Paranormal Dating Agency with just one stipulation - it cannot be (under any circumstances) a league champion. Champion dragon shifter team in the arena league The Triple Talons consists of Veryl who is sensitive, Cato who is the team captain and very intelligent, and finally Dez who is the joker in the team. They realise that as much as they love each other they need a mate to bind them closer together and so go to Gerri Wilder at the Paranormal Dating Agency to find them a mate. Love doesn't follow any terms and conditions set for it and so when Simina meets first Veryl and then Cato and Dez they capture her heart. Simina now needs to make a decision - can she move on from the past with the three hot fighters or will her fear destroy her future?

Wow - this was definitely a dramatic and intense story in places as Simina struggled with her grief, then guilt followed by anger. It definitely needed dedication and determination to do the right thing for themselves and their dragons as the shifters adapted to a new normal and a bright future. Well written and easy to read there were plenty of times with danger and drama. Contains a lot of explicit sexual content.

Review: A Purrfect Trifecta by Rebel West 3 of 5 stars

A Purrfect Trifecta (Paranormal Dating Agency)A Purrfect Trifecta by Rebel West
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Determined and focused, Lexi Newland knows what she wants and hasn't come close to find it with any man. So she enrols with the Paranormal Dating Agency and sets Gerri Wilder on the case for her. She wants to be treated well, given a life where she can work to get herself what she needs, and someone who will satisfy her sexual appetite. Leopard Shifters Archer and Rhett plus Panther Shifter Harlan are three friends who are sure they’re meant to share a mate. They each have their own gifts to give but finding the one woman who can satisfy them all might prove impossible - until they meet Lexi and know she is perfect. Can they all come to a consensus and find a way forward to true happiness?

This was certainly a dramatic book with lots of thoughts, emotions, and of course lots of sexual activity from the four characters. It was certainly an interesting quick read even if it was a fairly quick book which contained a lot of action between the sheets (and out of them). An enjoyable short book that was just missing a bit more of a story. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Her Cougar Cowboy by Moxie North 4 of 5 stars

Her Cougar Cowboy (Paranormal Dating Agency)Her Cougar Cowboy by Moxie North
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Doing her dream job as a buyer for Saks' exclusive plus-sized fashion range Genevieve Mason has the perfect life except for one thing - she reaches out to Gerri Wilder at the Paranormal Dating Agency hoping at worse for a few hot dates with shifters and at best a mate. Cougar shifter Brooks Alder was not looking for love with now - obviously, as a shifter, his wish was to meet his mate, have cubs and a family, and so a friend has signed him up for a Paranormal Dating Agency because he said nothing when they offered to fill in the forms for him. Gerri booked Genevieve into the Northwind Spa to relax and prepare herself to find her soulmate but when she arrives the spa is actually a dude ranch run by one of the hottest cowboys she has ever laid her eyes on, and so Vivi decides to make the best of a bad situation - after all, true love could be just around the corner.

This was a nice shifter romance story with the required ingredients of a hot shifter, a curvy woman, an unavoidable attraction and some danger and drama on the way to lots of very hot sex. I liked the misunderstanding (that wasn't really one) that got Vivi there and the danger and drama were definitely intense in places. Well written and easy to read and understand, it was an enjoyable short read that will definitely help relax you. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Too Much To Bear by Reina Torres 4 of 5 stars

Too Much To Bear (Paranormal Dating Agency World; Sylvan City Alphas #2)Too Much To Bear by Reina Torres
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bear shifter Boone Wayland is a protector and a problem solver and so when he decides he needs to find his mate he enlists the help of Gerri Wilder and her Paranormal Dating Agency. He has a very unique set of requirements as he needs to find someone who is willing to take on all the boys that he had taken on to keep off the streets and bring up. Chef Willa Barnes really wants a family but currently works at her boyfriend's diner making standard fare and the occasional sweet treat. But when Charlie ran off with the hostess leaving her to watch the shop while they were on honeymoon in Vegas her views changed. Her favourite customer heard her woes and so introduced her to Gerri Wilder insisting that she would help her find the man of her dreams who would be a bear shifter with a group of teenagers too - is that too much for her to bear?

This was a sweet story of how Willa could find the very man and family of her dreams if only she was prepared to adjust her views on life and reach out to take on what was hers for the taking. It was delightful to see the way she was right at home with this instant family and how readily they accepted her as one of them. well written and very enjoyable, this was a nice short read that was very easy to get into and invested into the characters and their futures. Alien and the Wedding PlannerAlien and the Wedding Planner by Lizzie Lynn Lee
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Wedding Planner Alana Watson couldn't wait for this year's wedding season to be over. When what appears to be a potential new client in the form of two gorgeous men enters her shop for a consultation she assumes they are a couple but their weird questions tell her otherwise, so when one of them kidnaps her to take her back to his home planet it is a complete shock. As a renown scientist on his home planet of Crimea, Lord Ice Silverkiller has travelled to Earth to find out how to stop his planet from dying out due to a total lack of procreation. He only wanted some answers but after meeting Alana, science is the farthest thing in his mind. Ice is even-tempered and very logical and so finds it hard to reconcile the crazy urge he has to possess curvy Alana. He is also experiencing the urge to make love to her, protect her and keep her safe - could this be love? This could be the key to saving his dying race.

This was a light read that was a little bizarre but quite enjoyable. I would have liked more detail around the problems on Crimea but it was covered enough for me to understand what I was reading. I liked the dynamic between Ice and Alana who made a really sweet couple. Well written and easy to understand. Contains some sexual content.
