Review: Alien's Getaway by Tina Moss 3 of 5 stars

Alien's Getaway

Alien's Getaway by Tina Moss
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

She might be a security officer on Earth's first deep space vessel but the worst move she made was to buy a ticket for the Space Z Pleasure Cruise as she is abducted and far from home needing her to rely on new alien allies to escape her captors. The real wild card is a sexy Rhonar warrior who vows to protect her and they escape in an escape pod together. After crash landing on a faraway planet, he is soon describing her as his fated mate but she is not the romantic kind. As they fight for each other's lives she can't help but be drawn to him. Can they escape and can they trust the bond that is pulling them together?

I enjoyed this story although some of it was a little fast-paced and felt abbreviated. I enjoyed the moments when they both had to fight for their survival and it was great to see a strong and sassy woman who was not prepared to hide behind the man. I liked the fact that there was a similarity between the end of this story and the others. Easy to read and understand, this story contained mature content.

Review: Alien's Temptation by Tina Moss 3 of 5 stars

Alien's Temptation (Earth Brides & Alien Warriors, #3)

Alien's Temptation by Tina Moss
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jane is the Captain of the moonbase around Earth and can handle any mission but is made to go on this one with Rhonar commander Tor who looks like he would either happily strangle or kiss her. They need to travel to a distant planet to find a rare substance that will save both of their races but they need to pass a series of increasingly sensual tests in order to get the substance they require. Can they put their hearts on the line?

I enjoyed this story with the push and pull between Jane and Tor, the attraction they were fighting against, the aliens they met and the trials on the planet to get the ore. I liked that they had trust in each other and that both of them had skills that the other could respect. I did find the trials a bit fantastical but to look at it another way it was in space so we have no idea of what it would really be like. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content.

Review: Alien's Mate by Tina Moss 3 of 5 stars

Alien's Mate (Earth Brides & Alien Warriors, #2)

Alien's Mate by Tina Moss
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Human Sage is one of Earth's top engineers and while out fixing something an explosion at the moonbase has her careering into space but sexy Rhonar warrior Brok pulls her onto his shop and saves her just before they are sucked through a wormhole and they land onto an unknown planet. Relying on each other to survive she needs to break down Brok's walls as the chemistry between them is about to explode. She also is wondering if her sister and best friend were caught in the blast that affected them. Brok's priority is protecting her - she is his mate he just needs to have the chance to tell her and take it further. Can they both get home to warn everyone about the threat from the aggressors with the wormholes that affected them?

I quite enjoyed this story which was probably because it focused a lot on their dilemma on the new planet and their struggle to get home. I liked that they were able to sort out their cultural differences and that they were able to complete their mate bond. It was great to see how good they could be once they were more able to work together. Contains some mature content.

Review: Claimed Among the Stars by V.K. Ludwig 4 of 5 stars by Tana Stone by Ella Maven by Tasha Black by Honey Phillips by Tina Moss

Claimed Among the Stars

Claimed Among the Stars by V.K. Ludwig
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A great-value alien romance anthology which will often contain stories from well-known series that you can't get anywhere else. All stories were well told, in clear language and it was easy to be transported away. The male aliens were all alpha males who would do anything to protect their women even though most of them were sassy and quite able to look after themselves.

This review is based on the following books that I read from the anthology:

Tana Stone Prize - 4*
Tasha Black Promised Mate - 4*
Ella Maven Saved by the Prisoner - 4*
Honey Phillips Alien Castaway - 4*
Tina Moss Alien’s Getaway - 3*

Review: Red Alert by Tina Moss 4 of 5 stars

Red Alert (Paranormal Crimes Division, #2)Red Alert by Tina Moss
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shifter and Special Agent Jame Bradshaw is the newest team leader for the Paranormal Crimes Division. She is dealing with a situation involving a mass murder in the Capitol building which has put the city on red alert and the urgency for her to solve this case quickly is immense. Vampire Drake is 150 years old and was a vigilante but is now a new PCD agent. On his arrival, the case heats up as does the sexual tension between them. Trying to find out if there is a traitor in the PCD she also has to call a Code Red (the highest level) as they battle to find out who is behind the murders. Jame has another battle going on in the background - she needs to let down her defences and use the passion between her and Drake into a true partnership before she loses far more than just her badge. Can they work it all out?

I loved this story which had multiple story streams all running in parallel and weaving in and out of each other. I loved the underlying attraction between Jame and Drake which thankfully was resolved in this book (it started in the previous book when Drake had rescued her). It's certainly building up and I just wonder how it is going to twist and turn in the next instalment of this story. Well written and easy to read and understand. I don't think you absolutely have to read the previous book in the series although it will help you to understand some of the characters and dynamics between them. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Embracing Darkness by Tina Moss by Yelena Casale 4 of 5 stars

Embracing DarknessEmbracing Darkness by Tina Moss by Yelena Casale
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Zoey had a hellish ordeal at the hands of evil and just wants to live a normal human life, but demons are haunting her every step mainly because there is a power growing inside her that she does not understand and cannot control. It seems if she wants to win her life back she will have to trust a fallen angel with a hidden agenda. Rafe has been at war with the hellspawn in Las Vegas for centuries and he just needs an edge to take the demon boss out. Zoey might be the answer but to gain her trust he'll need to use all of his powers of seduction in order to gain her heart - the problem being it might well mean losing his own. The stakes are rising and Zoey and Rafe need to put their faith in each other to heal wounds from the past as well as face the challenges of the present. Can they find their strength together to find peace even if it required embracing darkness?

This was a sweet short story that had the necessary ingredients of danger, lust and compromise. I liked the way Rafe started off with one agenda but finished with a completely different one (which gives hope for any relationship that they have in the future). It was well written and easy to read and understand.

Review: Code Black by Tina Moss 4 of 5 stars

Code Black Code Black by Tina Moss
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sera Benenati is a reporter on a gossip magazine and also an unregistered supernatural. and doe everything she can to hide her fire wielding abilities. Determined to make it onto a real newspaper she starts to track a string of paranormal murders in Buckhorn Arizona she is convinced she'll get a scoop but when torn flesh, bitten and battered bodies are part of a crime scene she may have taken on more than she bargained for especially when she ends up being a target too. Can sexy shifter and special agent Talon Rede work out the murderers before Sera becomes the next victim?

This was a great story with lots of drama and excitement all centred around Sera. The intertwining of the relationship between Sera and Talon as well as the good guys and the bad guys mixed into the mystery of the murders and their reason was well done and enjoyable to read. A great start to the series which promises good things going forward.
