Review: White Dragon by J.C. Andrijeski 5 of 5 stars
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Alexis is trapped in another dimension by a magical being and she soon realises he wants her to help him to destroy entire worlds – a bit like a living key to passing through the portals allowing them to be opened up to corruption by The Others. Whilst it is not clear what these Others want, they appear to enslave planets and bend entire cultures and histories to their own ends. He appears to have his own agenda – one that she needs to discover if she has any hope to escape and stop The Others from imposing darkness on all worlds which will go against everything that her mother brought her up to protect from. He is called the White Dragon, he is a king, a usurper and a radical who insists that Alexis is his mate.
After the dramatic ending to the previous book, Lexi finds herself in a tricky situation where there seems to be no possible way out. As she tries her best to sort through all of the information she is told (and not told) together with what she can believe and what not to believe she has to learn to think even quicker on her feet. At the latter stages of this book, there were some pretty major revelations that are definitely going to be significant in the next story. Well written, this was easy to read and understand. The plot was complex with many levels which became even more difficult as more was revealed during the progression of this book. I have so many questions which I hope will be answered in the next book about the Red Dragon, his direct relation to certain characters in this story and how that might affect things going forward. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Rexx by Tasha Black 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Schoolteacher Abigail Shaw is thrilled that the Alien Adoption Agency has selected her to adopt adorable baby Rio. Coming along with Rio is Invicta Warrior Rexx who is very handsome and has eyes that can seduce her. When he offers his mate bond she thinks that things cannot get better, plus they get a free ride on the famous Iron Peregrine express train to their new home. Rexx is a proud dragon warrior of the Invicta who has spent so many years solely focused on his military career that he has forgotten how to live in the outside world but when he meets Abigail his dragon goes wild and it takes all the strength that he has to not claim her instantly. However, they have barely boarded the train when they are faced with a mysterious locked car, a criminally dangerous passenger, unexplained noises in the night and a missing person before things really do get bad during the cross-moon journey. Will Abigail and Rexx find a way to make it home safely with baby Rio? And if Rexx does what has to be done, will Abigail still want to be his mate? Or will that train have left the station?
There are a lot of dramatic events on this train which makes me wonder at the ability of the train company and the authorities in order to keep their population safe. I loved the story of the relationship between Abigail and Rexx and the way that their total focus was on Rio and his care plus happiness. It is so nice to read stories about strong warriors who show their gentle side when they care for the babies in this programme. Well written and easy to read and understand. I loved the ending which showed a willingness to do what was right and proper in both cultures. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Kingdom Come by Nazri Noor 5 of 5 stars
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Mason Albrecht still has anger issues and they finally come to a head attracting another member of the Seven when the Prince of Wrath reveals his hand by striking directly at where it will hurt the most - Abaddon possesses Josephine Albrecht's body then disappears taking her with him. Mason plunges into despair and as he and his allies rush to try and find Abaddon and a way to stop him they start to puzzle on how to destroy the demon hiding inside his mother's body whilst rescuing her. It seems that Mason is going to have to swallow his pride, bare his soul and beg old friends and enemies alike (even one of the Seven) for help if he is going to get his mother back.
OMG - I loved this story which summarised quite succinctly exactly what one of Mason's faults was as well as one of his weaknesses. As for some of the people he was asking for help, one of them was such a wonderful surprise that I squealed in excitement. I enjoyed the way as part of this story we also learnt more about some of the other characters who are part of his social circle which is always a great thing to have. It was great to read more about Mason and now my mind is swirling with all the great things he could achieve if he could just learn a little more self-discipline. Well written, easy to read and understand. My only outstanding thought is how I could persuade the author to write faster without losing the excellent quality of both the stories and his writing.

Review: Kroga's Redemption by Michele Mills 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Melachine woke up in the med bat with amnesia but she is coping with it with the help of her doting mate Kroga or Seventy-Five who has vowed to love her with unspoken devotion. She's desperately attracted to the warrior and happily shares his bunk as they live together in the Swirl with their two kittens. He's told her why they have to hide at the edge of the universe and keep their location secret but she just can't remember why. So one day when a flood of shattering memories flood her mind wiping away the amnesia she's left standing shakily on the bridge realising that nothing is as it seems. Everything Kroga told her was a lie, but does that include his love for her?
This is the last book in the series and you really have to have read the previous ones in order to make sense of several elements of this story which seems to pull them all together and come to a conclusion. I felt great sympathy for Melachine as her memories came back in an instant and turned her world completely upside down. Well written, it was easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Can You Save Them by Sheri Lyn by Jennifer Wedmore 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Medical examiner Dr G. Skaggs loved his life and job until one day he could no longer tell if the two hottest men he has ever seen were real or even more ghosts come to torment him. FPU staff member Theo Granger had a good thing going with undercover specialist cop Bas but it didn't feel like everything until they saw Skaggs and then they knew what was missing in their relationship - a third in order make a triad with them. Had they found their missing piece just to lose him to madness? Or could the ghosts who haunted him be from a far more sinister plot?
This was a sweet story that pulled together a plot from the underworld, characters that we met in the first book in this series (Can you protect them?) and the general world that the law enforcement guys worked in. I enjoyed the story in the underworld and how that affected the people in the normal world (especially Skaggs) and the relationship between the three guys and how that seemed to have some kind of blessing. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit M:M:M sexual content.

Review: Alien Dragon's Baby by Miranda Martin 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Calista is happy as a scientific researcher on a spaceship with her books and her friends. But then her ship is attacked by space pirates and crash lands on a desert planet with intense heat. Ladon is a Zmaj warrior who is resigned to living on his own but when he meets Calista he knows that she belongs to him as his mate - as the ultimate treasure he will protect her - he just needs her to live long enough to understand that. But will the other humans accept this huge and alien looking dragon warrior? Or will they find him just as big a threat as the rest of the red planet? The future of both their races depends on it.
I really enjoyed this story which was definitely an exploration of what happens when humans meet something (or someone) new and how their behaviour can destroy everything around them if they don't stop and think clearer. I loved the relationship between Calista and Ladon and how they managed to communicate when they first met. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Can You Protect Them by Sheri Lyn by Jennifer Wedmore 5 of 5 stars
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The Professor, as he was known in the media, is an ordinary guy with unusual desires that dub him as a serial killer. The name fits well as he was determined to learn new things even if they were what others would baulk at. Detective Remington Conahan is very determined and experienced so it called as soon as the first body turns up because they know he will give her the justice she deserves. Grayson Knox is a new member in the Federal Paranormal Unit and gets a call because the person killed was a witch and so he agrees to help. What he didn't expect to find was a man who made him lose sight of why he was there. When evil masquerades as a regular man and travels the country, can anyone protect them?

Review: Zhoryan's Game by Michele Mills 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Zhoryan is an arrogant celebrity warlord who is convinced that a bride and children sound like the lowest level of hell. Janet is an opinionated daughter of a high-priest who is determined to wait for the right man to give her a large family. So when they are on the same ship and on the same deck as it explodes they end up in the same escape pod which eventually crash lands on a mysterious planet. Without food, water, a means to communicate with their spaceship and even worse without Zhoryan's gloves to prevent accidentally touching, what are they going to do - especially when they discover exactly why the planet is called ship-trap-planet on some maps? Will Zhoryan be able to resist touching this female’s bare skin while being hunted by the psychopath who owns the planet, plus can Janet learn to love such an unbearable man?
I enjoyed this story which on the face of it felt like a very weird story but was in the end more enjoyable than I expected. I enjoyed the differences between the two outlooks in life and how well they worked together on staying clear of trouble and avoiding capture. I enjoyed the way that their mating was done and how hard Janet fought in order to avoid capture (and bizarrely how much he enjoyed it). Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: The Elites by Elizabeth Knox by K.E. Osborn 5 of 5 stars
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A great series that contains plenty of power, violence, exploitation and sexual content (as well as romance). Well written and easy to read and understand.
Dex's Devotion - Elizabeth Knox & E.C. Land - 4*
This first book in the series introduces us to Ember and Dex who are at college and follows how they become members of the Scorpio Society and what is required for them to join. Easy to read and understand. A little hard to follow in places.
Legacy - Brynne King & Angela Sanders - 5*
In this part 1 of the book Legacy, Roman and Rylie meet and it becomes clear that they belong together. By the end of this story, Rylie has passed the test to get into the Scorpio Society and just need to get past the initiation. Sparks definitely fly between these two! Contains explicit sexual content.
Chaos and Corruption - Janine Infante Bosco - 4*
This is the start of a book that will be published later in the year. Lots of twists, drama and danger. Ends on a sad note so I really hope there is happiness in the full version.
The Promise - Anna Edwards & Claire Marta - 5*
Harper, Dex’s half-sister, is promised to marry Tobias Richardson when she was only 5 because both belong to important families for the Scorpio Society. Harper was raised in an MC, but now that she has turned 18 it’s time to go live with the family of her future husband. Harper is not happy with the future chosen for her and so she rebels whenever she can. This was a great story to show the inner workings of the Scorpio society and is full of twists and turns.
Our Salvation - Addison Jane & KE Osborn - 5*
This is the story of Koda when he is at college and what happens to him there. There are some fairly major happenings and as part of that, he has to grow up and stand on his own two feet. The Scorpio Society are also involved plus he meets fellow student Thayleah who quickly becomes his girlfriend. Full of danger and drama. Ties in nicely with the Houston Defiance MC series by KE Osborn.

Review: Syrin's Mate by Michele Mills 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Syrin of forty-six is a berserker and therefore has been removed from the mating database and outlawed from Chronos. Working as a bounty hunter he is undercover posing as a prisoner in the most notorious prison in the four sectors. There he meets Sara who is also an inmate and is the only female prisoner there she needs to find protection there fast. So when the prison guards throw Sara into the same cell as Syrin and take bets on how long she is going to live she decides to trade her virginity to him for protection. However, instead of accepting her offer, he comes back with ground rules - he will never be her pleasure mate nor desire or want her ever but she has to not touch him. Sara struggles to keep her eyes off his bulging biceps and when he accidentally touches her then all hell doesn't break loose, however, he certainly changes and his berserker is let loose which is more deadly and sexy than anything else. Can they both survive and gain their freedom?
I liked this story which was very dramatic and full of lots of drama and danger. I liked the berserker element and how that added to his determination to not mate with anyone. Sara was sweet and she was never going to last in prison so it was very clever of her to approach Syrin for protection. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Shark Bait by Mandy Rosko 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Honey Badger shifter Delilah Lovett is a medical examiner who has just agreed to consult on a job for the Aquaterrestrial Task Force who has a possible traitor in their team. Shark shifter Aiden Reyes has been given a special mission to be the bodyguard to a badass honey badger who insists that she doesn't need one. He assumes that any problem with her is nothing compared to the potential traitor in the FPU team. When he meets Delilah he discovers that she is his mate which gives him an extra incentive to find the murderer quickly and take them down - can he protect her and close the case so he can be with his far too serious mate?
This was a sweet story that had Delilah trying far too hard to be taken seriously which made it far harder for Aiden to both protect her and help with the case to the point that I felt really quite sorry for him to be saddled with her. Thank goodness everything worked out in the end so that they were able to be together and the traitor was found. Easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Kayzon's Wish by Michele Mills 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Kayzon of twenty-six is definitely a large Xylan warrior. He was banished from his homeworld and deemed unworthy of being placed on the register in order to try for a bride. But one fierce female is not afraid of him. When Kia sees Kayzon walk through the crowded marketplace on New Earth she tries desperately to speak to him and he just tells her to leave as nothing good will come from her attention. But when Hurlian soldiers start to drop from the sky and snatch up unsuspecting humans Kayzon accidentally touches her a bolt of awareness strikes them both and before she knows it he is kissing her, claiming her and telling her that she is his bride. Things take a right turn when Kia discovers that her new husband was never supposed to have a bride and that their mating is in review and that she has one planetary revolution to formalise or reject their tenuous marriage. What is she going to do?
I liked this story which had an alien who was not permitted to mate due to something in his history only to find a mate and then it seems he himself puts everything into doubt due to his race's rules and culture. It was very confusing and frustrating at times I'm just glad that Kia was able to find a way through all of the politics and rules. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Joyzal's Prize by Michele Mills 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Jacole was supposed to leave home on Earth in the morning so she can start training at Quantico, but instead of that, she is kidnapped by some space pirates who are planning to sell her and the other women they have kidnapped as sex slaves to the highest bidder. Jacole is determined to stop that and starts to organise a mutiny to take the pirates down but that plan is rudely interrupted when someone blows a hole in the side of the spaceship they are on. A seven-foot-tall Bounty Hunter emerges from the rubble and is the most handsome male that Jacole has ever seen. After he touches her, he kisses her, puts her on his ship and then claims her as his bride (the female he has been waiting to find for his entire life). As far as Jacole is concerned while he might be the best lover and be the kind of person she can admire, in order for her to do forever with him he has to earn her trust first.
This was a dramatic story that showed how the mating of the warriors relies on the female understanding their racial attitudes and rules - without that knowledge then all it really meant was that it was just words. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Her Redeemed Hero by Terri A. Wilson 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Shifter Washington Bender should have made better choices earlier in his life, but he didn't, and so he feels there is no point to torture himself with should haves and could haves. Now working as a US Marshal, Washington protects paranormal witnesses but after a phone call from his sister, he has to go back and protect the pack that he walked away from many years ago including the woman he should never have left behind. Shifter Axelle Michaels works as a teacher taking care of other people's kids but is struggling to take care of her younger brother. When her brother falls in with the wrong crowd (including the current alpha of their pack) he makes a wrong turn that could potentially get him killed. And so she finds she has to turn to her first (and only) love to save both her brother and her pack. Can she forgive him for walking away and turning his back on her when she needed him most?
This was definitely a dramatic story of wolf pack politics and evil acts. I liked the relationship between Washington and Axelle which seemed to fairly easily go back to how it should have stayed. It was fairly well written and it moved the investigation along into who was corrupt in the FBI too so I hope that investigation is concluded soon too. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Her Damaged Guardian by Terri A. Wilson 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Wolf shifter Lincoln Talbert might have been the enforcer for the Mikhailov family, but he lived his life with two very clear rules - get the money upfront for any job and hurting kids were strictly off-limits. When he still refused to break the second of those rules they turned their back on him and he was turned over to the FBI. Instead of jail time, he was recruited by James Brock who was the head of the Federal Paranormal Unit to work with a team of paranormals on paranormal criminals or witnesses in the US Marshalls. Throughout her life, Savanah Delacour has hidden her true identity in order to keep herself and her family safe. When she witnesses a murder she will have to risk persecution in order to save her grandmother and stay alive herself. Protected by a man who views personal connections as a weakness, she must breach the wall around his heart to save him, his team, and herself.
This was a great paranormal story that took the pasts of both Lincoln and Savanah and wove them into the story around a crime and the witness protection for Savanah. I enjoyed the way that over time Savanah got past the walls that Lincoln has built around himself for a connection between him and herself, but it also was for the benefit of some of his team too. It was charming to experience how such a sassy lady had the old wolf shifter confused and twisted around her will even though I'm not sure he realised that was the way it was. Well written and easy to understand, I'm looking forward to what happens next both between Lincoln and Savanah and also for the team who were definitely not appreciated in the US Marshalls. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Love Me by K.E. Osborn 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Jeni is still with her boyfriend Aiden O'Connell even though he is now a convicted felon. She stuck by his side through the embezzlement trial but the personal cost was great to her as she could barely sleep let alone eat. His father continues to insult her, then she experiences a terrifying fire followed later by a vicious attack. Leaving Aiden once would have killed her, but now she feels it is the only option left for them both.
Dear Lord - if I could slap her really hard I would. I could barely think straight when I finished this book I was so angry with Jeni's character. Fair play to the author - she has written a good book which definitely engaged me and made me feel emotions, I just didn't expect to fail to completely understand the logic of Jeni and feel quite so angry with her at the end. Whist a mostly want for them to desperately get back together in the next book part of me wants him to move to find someone else who will appreciate him more. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Seer Protector by Roxanne Witherell 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
With the gift of Retrocognition, Caira Carter can see the history of an object just by touching it, but the gift comes with a cost as Ciara hasn't had an easy life, gets called crazy or branded a lunatic and sometimes worse. When bodies of women start showing up around town, she needs someone to listen to her as she wants to help and stop the murders - not assume she is involved and arrest her. Heath Cooper is a member of the FBI's Federal Paranormal Unit. When he is sent to solve the murders as part of an elite task force he realises he is in for far more than he ever anticipated - as soon as he meets Ciara he knows that she is his mate and that she is innocent of the actual murders - can the two of them work together to solve them before it is too late?
I loved this story which was a merging between a fanatic determined to kill a group of women, Heath finding and gaining the trust of his mate, and them both working to clear Ciara and solve the murders all at the same time. I loved the twists and turns in this story, especially the twist at the end of the story which was not so easy to anticipate. A good story that merged shifters and witchcraft into the same storyline. Easy to read and understand, it was an enjoyable light read that made me smile.

Review: Bitter Aries by Paul Sating 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Demon Ezekial Sunstone (Zeke) is the exception to the rule - he is a demon without any magic. That means he has very little going for him with no job and no prospects. Then Lucifer's Council select him for a special mission - he is to be sent to the surface to Seattle to find a runaway demon who is also one of the oldest and strongest demons ever - yes he could redeem himself but he could also be humiliated once again in life. As a demon with no ability and no choice, how can they think he is right for this mission?
I really enjoyed this story which was a different spin on the usual demon stories and I enjoyed the chance to learn a little more about demons and their skills. I loved Zeke and his personality and how even though he was used to being tormented he was the one who thought things through and was by far the most mature of his friends and acquaintances. There was time for a lot of instances of magic and it was also a great lesson in politics around demons and their environment. Well written and easy to read and understand, it was a joy to read and I was therefore partially disappointed to get to the end of this book. I'm looking forward to reading the next one now.

Review: Awakened by Jodi Kendrick 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Ancient legend Lirikai has awakened from a long slumber and needs to find out if she is the only one of her kind left and if she can adapt to the modern world she finds herself in. Carson is called into the local law enforcement office by the Aquaterrestrial Task Force (water division of the Federal Paranormal Unit) to investigate murder victims left on the beach with various bit marks. When Lirikal rolls out of the ocean asking after the Goddess in the ancient language Carson questions if she is connected to his case or if she was sent to him by his lost Goddess. After centuries alone, can they overcome their ingrained sense of duty and purpose and find common ground?
I enjoyed this story which has several layers with a few parallel stories in the same book. I enjoyed the way that Carson and Lirikal worked together even if she then went off on a limb and worked on her own. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Jerricho by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Mavericks member Jerricho was surprised when his first solo mission was to the Middle East to rescue his ex-wife who was working as a journalist there together with her cameraman. Finding out how and why they and other women were taken is horrifying enough but it also complicates the rescue as it is not just two people now. Brenna has a hope that her ex-husband will turn up as she knows the type of work he does makes him a good candidate plus she has wanted for a long time to show him how much she has changed since they were together - yes it's not a great time but it might be the only chance she has. Rescuing the women and taking out the kidnappers should have been the end of it until they realize it’s not as simple as it first seems. The women were objects initially; now they’re targets. Can Jerricho get to the bottom of it all?
This was action-packed and full of twists and turns. I loved the way that things were tentative and uncertain at first as Brenna did more work on her changes and accepted that Jerricho could see her for what she was now which was a well rounded normal person. I loved the way that the underlying love between them was easy to adapt to the way they were now. Easy to read and understand, this was definitely a rollercoaster ride which you just had to hang on and read faster in order to know what was going to happen next. Contains just a little sexual content at the end.

Review: Gladiators' Claim by Michele Mills 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Sofiya Petrov and her father were fleeing evil aliens and decided to take refuge in the Swirl but getting there badly damaged their ship and killed her father. Alone she made her home in the empty sector 16 and was happily living there and recycling space junk. Then her AI awoke her telling her that the code had been used to access the station and she found herself in a standoff with two celebrated Creekan Gladiator athletes who were claiming legal ownership of the sector. Neither Sofiya nor the gladiators are prepared to back down. Even worse, she is undeniably attracted to the arrogant males yet they are not breeding compatible and so her wish for love and a family is never going to happen with them. They do want her for a pleasure mate but really that is just insulting as she is worth much more than that. And yet, why didn’t anyone warn her that her heart could be in jeopardy in this situation?
I enjoyed this story which started to two sides in a battle for the sector which seemed to never be able to find a solution and was each as determined to win as the other. Plus the gladiators were in deep mourning for the third member of their group who had died getting there. I loved the way that over time the living and working together meant that they got to know each other and things in their relationships were changing. I loved the finish to the story which was pretty amazing and the little bits of the story which explained the background to bot Sofiya and the gladiators. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: The Alien's Rebel by Milly Taiden 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Cirrus Moonmist will do almost anything to ensure that her daughter survives her incurable disease but getting her to a distant planet with the right atmosphere for her - that includes knocking down a really hot guy who makes her panties wet and her knees weak. Guardian Defender Gavin Sagestar has been sent to infiltrate a rogue faction by working deep undercover. Then he sees Cirrus and his duty and honour take a backseat to want, need and even love (?). Cirrus is smart a curvy and anyone else who disagrees are just going to have to take a hike (including the rogue military leader who seems to want her as his mate)! Sagestar is determined to save both mother and daughter, no matter what. Even if it costs him his life.
I ought to like this story but I found it a bit long-winded and tedious. I loved the children, the focus on friendship and the fact that Cirrus was quite festy. Easy to read and understand just a bit monotonous at times. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Unexpected Valentine by J.C. Layne 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Seth Lovejoy is a cupid and he has been very very busy recently and so in order to relax his family gives him a trip to the Crimson Moon Hideaway for his birthday. Greek Goddess Eliana Phoron has been looking over her shoulder trying to avoid an abusive ex-boyfriend but having seen no sign of him for months she feels safe enough to take a vacation at the Crimson Moon Hideaway that old friend, Merlin, runs with his mate, Jianna. A chance meeting en route begins a series of coincidental meetings for Seth and Eliana that leaves them both wondering if they are destined to be together. Will the impending Valentine's Day bring them both an unexpected valentine?
I really enjoyed this instalment of the series based around the paranormal friendly resort. Both of them were great characters who had great reasons to be there for relaxation and it really did seem that fate was pulling them together let alone the actions of a cupid. I loved the drama of the ex-boyfriend and all the events around that. There was plenty of drama and danger and I loved the way that Merlin and Jianna were both major figures in the story too. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains a little explicit sexual content.

Review: Rayzor's One by Michele Mills 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Alien Rayzor of Twelve has been banished from his homeworld and so is working as a bounty hunter. He is on Earth to extract a target and has to complete this mission with zero human casualties. Everything goes like clockwork until a human female suddenly appears and gets in the way. Rebecca has no idea what is happening - she started off being alone and scared in a spooky forest and the next minute a seven-foot-tall alien warrior is gazing at her passionately, touching and kissing her and insisting that she is his bride. Whilst she agrees that he is swoon-worthy, she has no idea what his name is, what race he is and she considers this a kidnapping as he informs her that they are in space. There is no way she can agree to this, Can they find a way to work together and get the HEA he is expecting?
This was a sweet short read that explains how Rayzor and Rebecca met and ended up together. Easy to understand and quite a pleasant read. Contains sexual content. The inter alien politics was quite interesting and as this was the first book in a series may help my understanding of the later books.

Review: Taken by the Tiger by Milly Taiden 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
How to attend her cousin's wedding, Parker Nolan has been living and working abroad for years supporting the work or her family's nonprofit foundation. However, the day catches her off guard after she has a fling with the smoking-hot best man Ryan. Maybe this is a reason for her to stick around? Ryan Wade is the alpha tiger of the Pine Pride and at a wedding, he finds his mate in Parker, but she is not ready to be tied down and doesn't understand what being a mate means. Fortunately, he finds a way to work with and get closer to Parker as he needs her help with the younger members of his pride who seem to be out of control at the moment. Parker puts together a series of bonding activities between the younger and older members of the pride which also allows Ryan and Parker to get to know each other more. so she can see how great they are as a couple. Sadly, someone wants marker out of the picture and as Ryan's hold on the pride is on the line, Parker's life is on the line. But Parker is determined not to go down without a fight - she's not afraid of danger - something she has faced before - but is she ready to face down a pride of lions?
I liked the way Parker was a feisty and modern woman who was confident in herself and her own abilities. I also liked the way the story ended and all the happiness that seemed to be spreading between different groups of people. It was enjoyable, easy to read and easy to understand too. Contains some sexual content.

Review: Escape: Flora by A.K. Michaels 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Flora is the halfbreed child of a werewolf alpha and a human woman, When her mother dies her father is honour bound to look after her but honour has little to do with it. He and his pack treat her poorly, hit her and treat her as a slave as if she was worthless. In a desperate move, Flora goes to attend an audition as a vampire's blood courtesan so she can earn the money to get some independence and escape her father and his pack. Vampire Maxwell needs to go to Scotland to sort out his father's estate and so needs a blood courtesan for the duration of the visit. Can Maxwell keep her safe from the pack and can they both part from each other at the end of their arrangement?
This was a story full of lots of danger, drama and excitement as both Maxwell and Flora learnt to survive a circling werewolf pack, dangerous encounters with vampires and an attraction for each other that might be hard to end when his business is complete. I loved the way Maxwell found to resolve everything and that he really was thinking the same way as Flora was when it came to the future. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Lightbringer by J.C. Andrijeski 5 of 5 stars
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Alexis is what is known as a Lightbringer - she protects the portals that connect the worlds to keep them safe from dark beings like Gods, Demons, Vampires or any other interdimensional being. Either way, her job is to protect the portal on Earth in order to protect the population of the planet. However, something has gone dreadfully wrong and someone is murdering the Lightbringers and she appears to be the last one standing. Traveller Cal arrives to protect her as his race have traditionally protected and spied for the Lightbringers in the past. But they are tired of observing just from the sidelines and Cal is not an ordinary Traveller. Can they protect the portal on Earth and therefore the integrity of the system?
OMG, this was a story with lots of twists and turns as we learnt more about the threat facing Alexis and what it means to be a Lightbringer. I loved the details we learnt about all the characters which helped to paint a picture of what they were like and what they did. I'm intrigued by all of the main players in this story and have all sorts of ideas in my head as to how important or significant they will be going forward. There is one hell of a twist at the end of the book that will both surprise and horrify you. Well written, it was clear and easy to understand the story and pick up the thoughts and feelings of the characters. Contains explicit sexual content. How am I going to wait to find out what happens next?

Review: Edge of the Woods by Jules Kelley 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Haley Fern has been the alpha of her local werewolf pack in Pine Grove, Montana for less than a year when their law enforcement liaison retires, and Leland Sommers, a man who knows nothing about werewolves or their world, is hired in his place. On his first day in the area Leyland shows up with an injured teenage boy he found on the road–a boy Haley knows has just been bitten. Working out wh bit the kid is not easy as it could be as Leyland is asking questions whilst also looking at Hayley in a way that just flusters her. Can the alpha figure out who is attacking innocent people on her wildlife preserve and protect her pack? Or will the new sheriff and her growing attraction to him put her entire world in danger?
This was a dramatic story that merged a mystery story around the wolf bite and who was responsible for it together with the attraction between Hayley and Leyland and keeping werewolves secret. I enjoyed the story with its twists and turns - some of which were connected to the wolf bite and some were connected to the relationship between Hayley and Leyland. Some of the inter wolf politics were interesting and some seemed a bit stupid and I was definitely thinking to myself who was bad and was responsible a long time before the story went in that direction. Well written and easy to read/understand. I would be interested in seeing the direction that the series takes next. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Kurt by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Kurt was a badass when growing up but knew his life had to change and so joined the US Navy. Fourteen years later a request from Badger to check out a missing War Dog which is allegedly hiding in the bushes and attacking people send Kurt right back to the place he left with no intention to ever go back to. When Kurt chose the navy over Laurie Ann years ago he left her with a precious gift that she has fought long and hard to keep while not giving up on her dreams to become a doctor. When Kurt returns it is really hard not to see the person that she loved in this older version but the town has a very long memory with at least one person unwilling to see Kurt as he is now. He is a trouble magnet - can he handle the trouble they are in now or will he leave just like he did before?
I really enjoyed this story which showed just how small towns work and how long the memory of anything bad from the past can last. I love Laurie Ann and how she always could see the good in Kurt as well as what a great Mum she was for her son. I was thrilled when they ended back together as a family unit as well as the way that the dog played such a central role in the story. Well written and easy to read and understand.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
