Perilous Lady: An Enemies to Lovers Gang Romance by Eva Chance by Harlow King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
After the traitorous actions of her former fiance when he and his men butchered her entire family, Mercy Katz has joined with the powerful Noble family in order to enact revenge on him and in the process to free the streets that were her home. But it appears that the Noble family heir Wylder and his inner circle appear to not be able to decide between kissing or killing Mercy. When she thinks about it, Mercy is having a similar problem when she considers the four infuriatingly hot and dangerous men. Whatever the decisions are, they need to be right now because her ex is not pulling punches and the biggest threat of all to her might come from within the Nobles family or associates.
This was a full-on book with twists and turns that seemed to breed their own twists and turns. If you can keep up with them and think you have worked out who is responsible for what you will probably be completely wrong as I know I was. I think Mercy came into her own much more in this book as she managed to be more on a par with the guys and was able to take a fuller role in some of the operations. I loved the relationship that was developing between Mercy and Anthea who was trying to look out for her more. Well written, easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content and violence.
