Garren Strengest is an Enforcer, a man with great honour and strong principles. When he discovers that Isabeau is his lady fair all the most important thing to him is her safety. The question is, can he get her to give up the one thing she has promised to keep safe?
I really enjoyed this story which was full of drama, danger, evil and magic. The conflict between duty and love was very clear as well as the conflict between right and wrong (which should not have been part of the same story). Isabeau was a delightful and kind woman who cared for all creatures without prejudice just love. Garren was strong, powerful and for a while tortured until he saw things clearly. I loved their relationship and the way that they trusted each other. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains a little sexual content. I really hope the author writes more of this kind of book as it is not her usual type.
