Review: Guardian of Light by Alisa Woods 4 of 5 stars

Guardian of Light (Fallen Angels 2)Guardian of Light by Alisa Woods
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Oriel is an angeling of the light and is protecting human Elizabeth who is one of the scientists helping to push the technology forward to breach the barrier between the mortal and immortal realms. Elizabeth has a broken soul and he feels drawn to her and her beauty as well as the need to fix her soul for her. Elizabeth dropped everything to work on the secret science project as she had vowed to do fulfil their dreams for her after losing her father to cancer at 16 and her mother in a car crash a few months later. So when Dr Netherman invited her she knew it was her chance to do just that. But her hot, sweet and kind personal bodyguard makes her want to break every rule against dating that she has. In the war that is threatening mortals and immortals alike the Angels of Light vow to protect humanity but they will be tempted by the promise of love.

I really enjoyed this story which has the tortured and tormented Oriel who fell in love with Elizabeth and fought his attraction to her only to fix her and fall, to then be able to still help the light and be saved again by the pure love that they had for each other. Full of danger, drama, some magic and a little sexual content. I enjoyed the perspective that it might feel like a fall but our love is just that - love. Easy to read and understand.
