Review: Echoes of Silence by Indie Black 4 of 5 stars

Echoes of Silence

Echoes of Silence by Indie Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wren hasn't spoken for four years as she learnt years ago that if she were to make a noise there would be a price higher than she is willing to pay. She was caged for others' perversions and only when four dark knights swoop in to free her is she finally free. But she was wrong, the men who purchased her from her father are monsters. After words of freedom, they say that she is theirs to keep and so she is a prisoner once again. Now she likes the darkness with the light but her only thoughts are of vengeance.

Wow - I loved this story with the hidden backstory and the various layers of all of the characters. It was all looking great until the very end when I was shocked at the ending and completely heartbroken both for Wren and the guys. Lots of descriptions of violence, torture, rape and mature content could be a trigger for some people. Well written and easy to read and understand.
