Review: Ryzen by Eve Riley 4 of 5 stars

Ryzen (Federal Protection Agency, #3)

Ryzen by Eve Riley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When he was eighteen Ryzen was recruited into the CIA and is one of the best snipers in the world. He now works with the Federal Protection Agency to track down people who perpetrate crimes against children. Always hidden behind dark sunglasses he is a mystery to everyone. He remembers Knox when he had a psych evaluation and that the profiler report resulted in his discharge from the CIA so he is not impressed with the man and is disturbed by how he makes him feel. Knox Hunter is a profiler with the FBI and investigating a series of murders where the victims are all male aged between twelve and fourteen and have the same MO. The mayor is pushing for re-election and so the public has no idea that there is a serial killer out there. Knox is sent to the FPA to close the case quickly. Knox is an office man and this post could be dangerous for him as he is not experienced working in the field. Will Ry be able to keep Knox safe while they track down and put away this serial killer, or is he destined to be the biggest threat to Knox’s heart?

I loved the combination of the serial killer and solving that problem while at the same time, there was the mystery of Ry and Knox as they tried to solve the mystery of each other and why they were so drawn together. There were a lot of emotions in this story around both men and the serial killer and it was great to read something where you could feel why things happened in a certain way. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
