Daddy Dom Jacob Morrison lost his boy and husband to cancer two years ago and has closed himself off refusing to open his heart up to that pain level again. After agreeing on a trial for a month will that be enough time to see if two lonely men finally get the Christmas and the happy ever after they both need or will they discover that getting what they want for Christmas is easy? Keeping it for longer might be impossible.
This was a sweet story of two men who had suffered a profound loss in their lives and had the support and space to grieve while also starting to build something for the future. I liked that both men were happy to keep the other's loss central to their relationship to not minimise them in their lives. Sensitive coverage of loss and grief as well as second chances at love. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
