Review: Brave Boy by K.M. Neuhold 4 of 5 stars

Brave Boy (Perfect Boys #2)

Brave Boy by K.M. Neuhold
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Emerson has been used to being on his own and even though it is lonely it is all he knows and so he loses himself to books as they have never let him down. At his friend's suggestion, he starts to talk only to someone described as LonelyDaddy and because it is not face-to-face his stutter is not a factor and he loves it. He has a suspicion that it could be the man he has been lusting over for ages - tall and red-haired Kiernan - who is always gentle with him and gives him the time to speak even though he cannot string more than two words together around him. Could LonelyDaddy be Kiernan? And if he is, is there any chance he’ll want to keep Emerson? Can he be his brave boy?

I loved this story with the shy and quiet Emerson who struggled with his stammer and the caring Kiernan who was just nuts about him and wanted to care for him. This was a fitting second book to the story and I loved the gentle way that Kiernan looked after Emerson and understood the way to support him and his stutter. At times I wanted to hug Emerson and tell him that his Daddy was there and just to be patient. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.
