Country singer Shiloah has had a fake relationship with his female PA for years and it has taken the pressure off him but she wants to marry her girlfriend and start a family together so he needs to finally come out of the closet. He has hired a bodyguard to keep crazy fans away and he has also agreed to pretend to be his boyfriend. Shiloah never had a real boyfriend, and it’s not long before he wishes it was real. Jackson has a past but he appears to want it to be real too. If they can stay ahead of the person who is threatening Shiloah they have a chance to make it real and permanent.
I really enjoyed this story with the two men who managed to build a relationship together while solving the mystery of the person who was threatening Shiloah. I loved that Jackson tried to take Shiloah through the stages of a proper relationship starting with flirting and kissing before moving on to more physical things. The threat was dramatic at times and caused by Shiloah coming out. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
