Micah left his old life in the middle of the night and showed up in San Francisco on a job tip from a friend. However, when Meg hires him at Whipped, he is introduced to a whole new world with a cosy crew of kinksters including one man who continues to catch his attention again and again. Parker decided after his mom died and his father became a shell of himself to never let anyone wreck him like that so avoids relationships but Micah’s gotten under his skin. Micah’s the brattiest boy that Parker could’ve ever dreamed of playing with and the connection between them is Incendiary. Micah realises he can't do casual anymore with Parker and so breaks it off. Can a way forward be found?
I loved this new world that the author created and the fun of a cafe at the heart of the kink community. Micah felt very real and I could empathise with his home situation and need to escape. Parker was tortured and punished himself for no logical reason (even if it felt justified in his mind at the time). I'm looking forward to reading more in this world and the next HEA. Easy to read, feel and understand there were a lot of feelings and emotions in this story. This is an MM story with mature content and BSDM-like scenarios in a Daddy/boy dynamic.
