Diesel (Carter) was a member of a ghost operations team and his boyfriend and professional football player Troy Dunkirk had no idea what he did for a job. When Diesel has to go into action after a series of terrorist attacks Troy becomes suspicious about Diesel's actual job and so he needs to weigh the love of his country against the love of his life. The decision shouldn't be that difficult but it is.
This was an enjoyable read but I did find it a bit lacking. Apart from a few hurried sex scenes, there wasn't any romance or intimacy. However, I do like the Phoenix Squad and their team dynamics which could give us some interesting stories in the future as well as the terrorism threat they are dealing with. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
