A Christmas Lynx by Renee Hewett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Bear shifter Pryce Desalvo is the mob enforcer in town and he has sworn off love as the can't risk that kind of life on any partner as well as abandoning his position and putting his friends in danger. Lynx shifter Nila Havens has a deadly history but is a busy nurse who has pretty much resigned herself to never find love and so focusses on her cancer patients instead. Both have an invitation to Gerri Wilders famous Christmas Party. When they meet at the party they are determined to go their separate ways but Pryce will soon realise that if you meet your mate there is no turning back. He might hem, and she might haw, but when a world-famous paranormal matchmaker sticks you together, you might as well accept it!
This was a sweet PDA story where they both had the same idea, but as the description says, when Gerri matches you together and you meet your mate then there really is no point in fighting it. A really sweet story with its fair share of drama, danger and excitement with a surprising twist at the end to prove that they really were made for each other. Well written and easy to read.

Review: Sea Spray by John A. Heldt 5 of 5 stars
Sea Spray by John A. Heldt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The Lane family had stolen two time machines from a madman and billionaire Devereaux who is so determined to get them back he has sent a hitman back in time to retrieve them and kill the family of his former business parter. For now, the family is seeking peace and safety in 1927 where the two parents Mark and Mary have found housing in affluent East Hampton, New York, where a gracious elderly couple offers use of their mansion. Son Jordan and his new wife, Jessie, plan a family. Siblings Laura, Jeremy, and Ashley pursue fun and adventure. All form strong friendships with the Prices, a mysterious mirror-image family that lives next door. Randy Taylor, who programs the machines, is determined to stop him. He tries to undermine his boss and save the Lanes, even as he tries to help his mother beat a deadly illness. He pines for the day he can join his fugitive friends and rekindle a promising relationship with Laura Lane. This book will follow the family as they navigate through the sometimes dangerous world of Lindbergh, Gershwin, and Fitzgerald.
This was as I would expect from this series, meticulously researched and the facts and events very accurate so that it was factually correct and totally in context. I liked the mystery of the next-door neighbours and the steps used to work out exactly was happening It was well written and it was easy to pick up the thoughts and emotions of all the characters. There were definitely some surprises on the way that was life-changing and I look forward to seeing how they develop in the future. Definitely recommended.

Review: Ice Maiden by Dale Mayer 5 of 5 stars
Ice Maiden by Dale Mayer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Gabby Mulder is spending the winter in Aspen in Colorado working and snowboarding quite happily until something weird happens to her and she is almost killed by the actions of a ghost on the slopes. One of her roommates is brutally murdered in the shared apartment and then the rumours start of a serial killer from the past returning which just piles on the pressure and pain on Gabby. Confused and grieving she is forced to move to a new residence which the police investigate the death by looking at the crime scene at the apartment and her. Damon Fletcher is a police detective who at first considered Gabby as a flighty troublemaker after incidents at the bookstore where she worked and then the slopes brought her to his attention, but when one of her roommates is murdered his interest in her grew to another level. As a second roommate is killed, Gabby is caught in the middle and suspicious gazes are turning even more in her direction - can they work out what the cases have to do with her, how they related to the cold cases from the past and can they work it all out before it gets to her?
This was a great story which had all of the requisite ingredients of a Psychic Visions series story. There was the mystery that involved the supernatural, the woman at the centre of the story who was in danger, and the authority figure who was trying to work it all out before it was too late (as well as the irresistible attraction and sizzling chemistry between the two). Well written, very easy to read and full of danger and drama. There was just a little sexual content near the end of the story.

Review: Dragon Tides by Rinelle Grey 5 of 5 stars
Dragon Tides by Rinelle Grey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Damrian and his family may look normal as they run their tropical island resort, but in fact, they are dragon shifters. He has spent his life guarding the family secrets however it is a visit from his childhood best friend and first love to put them both in danger. Zara never wanted to ever leave Damrian but she didn't want to stagnate in the one place and so left to go to University and never looked back (much). She is now back on the island but can't afford to lose her focus even though being near to him rekindles the old feelings that she did her best to bury. When her work threatens Damrian's whole world can they both sort through all of the secrets and lies that are currently in the way of them having a second chance at love?
I loved this story that showed the effect of the secrets and lies as well as how they could not hide from their love and the kinds of compromises they would have to make in order to have the future together that they deserved. Easy to read, feel and understand it was a very addictive story that had me hoping that they could find a way to be together as their love seemed to be far deeper than any issue of identity and secrets. Just a little sexual content near the end of the story.

Review: A Christmas Wish by Alisa Woods 3 of 5 stars
A Christmas Wish by Alisa Woods
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
When sexy alpha Lucas rescued Mia and claimed her for his mate, that magic bound them for life—but there’s still no ring on her finger. When Mia’s shifter-hating mother meets her wolfishly-hot investor “boyfriend,” Mia’s one Christmas wish is to keep the holidays from going to hell.
This was a novella that completed what happened in the first book in the series where Lucas claimed Mia as his mate. There were a lot of secrets in this story which turned it into almost a farce at times even though the ending was exactly what I wanted to happen. Easy to understand and give a little bit more insight into the politics within a wolf pack as well as how communication is key unless you want misunderstandings to happen. Contains a little sexual content at the very end.

Review: Wicked Temptations by Cass Alex 4 of 5 stars
Wicked Temptations by Cass Alex
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Olivia Freedman is a renowned food critic, but she also lives life as a borderline recluse and is quite happy being anonymous. After she gets a suspicious phone call from her best friend Kat she finds herself racing to her location - the Crimson Moon Hideaway resort - to rescue her from whatever trouble she is in. However, what is actually going on is the last thing she imagined. Hellhouse and chef Aidan Laoch is the newest rising star and us the current guest chef at the Crimson Moon Hideaway resort. What he ever expected was to find the fiery little human that is destined to turn his world upside down. Sparks fly between Olivia and Aidan and just when everything is heating up in the kitchen they find themselves near lies, mystery, crème brûlée... and other wicked temptations that are just too yummy to resist!
This was a cute novella which nicely finished off something that started in the previous book in the series which was more concentrated on Kat. Lots of drama in this book that proves that food can be sensual too. Well written and easy to read. Contains a little sexual content.

Review: Wicked Desires by J.A. Nolan 5 of 5 stars
Wicked Desires by J.A. Nolan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Psychologist Kat Travers thinks she is at Crimson Moon Hideaway for a work conference and is also looking forward to staying for long enough to take advantage of all the spa resources that are available. So when she finds herself face to face with a werewolf and discovers the kind of people who are at the resort, she impulsively invites her best friend Olivia Freeman to experience what is going on there and the fun that is available. However, the truth of why she was invited there might be a bit of a shock to her. Werewolf Carter McDonough is on holiday from Scotland while he avoids the pack feud that has been going on for years for as long as he can. He has given up finding a suitable mate and resigned himself to a solitary life. However, the way his wolf years to be with (or even near) Kat has him rethinking that fate. So now he has a choice - settle down with Kat who is human but she challenges him at every turn or settle for one of his own kind in loyalty to his pack. When trouble comes for Carter he has no choice but to risk everything he is trying to build with Kat to keep her safe. Can they have the future together that they deserve?
I loved this story, which had the jeopardy of humans and paranormals, mated mates, pack wars, duty and danger. I loved the way that events unfolded and how the resort played a major role in the story as well as the way that war can be between packs and the effects of that on all that are involved in it (whether deliberate or accidental). There was lots of drama, danger and excitement at points of the story that were very addictive. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Tiger Pride King (neta) Dean has decided to spend Christmas on his own in his cabin in the middle of the woods. Violet is a normal human working as a nail technician driving home after seeing a major client just before Christmas. When her car spins out of control on the icy road she is stranded and injured with no help in sight - when Dean finds her. Saving the stranger from certain death will put a dampener in his plans to spend time alone, but his Tiger is convinced she is more to him than meets the eye. Can he convince the dark-haired beauty to become his?
This was a sweet novella that certainly put us all into the Christmas Spirit. I enjoyed the emotions that were on show as they both struggled with some life-changing decisions. Well written and easy to read. Contains a little sexual content near the end.

Shifter Laurel just wanted to go and rest alone in the mountains to prepare for the next year and all the challenges to come. However, a blizzard is lurking just over the horizon and a sexy dragon wit his smouldering eyes is going to crash back into her life. Fate is messing with these star-crossed lovers and a big bad wolf if threatening to blow it all away. Can Laurel forgive the past, heal her broken heart and trust the ghost who is real?
This is a sweet Christmas novella in the world of Dragon Guardsmen and introduces us to a twist on how they normally are. Full of drama, danger and excitement it certainly gave the kind of Christmas story that we all love at that time of year. Does contain some sexual content at the very end.

Pinch of Sass by C.D. Gorri
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Lion shifter Ariella Golden knows that the sexy Dire Wolf Beta Brock Laurent is her fated mate but he seems to be resisting it - she needs to find a way to make him admit it and do something about it. Can she also persuade talented chef Brock that he use the Pride's food supply corporation Eat Well Live Proud for his own roadhouse so that she can win the quarterly sales competition? After all, the Pride's food supply business offers the best organic, non-GMO, and responsibly harvested fish and meat. Brock had been content cooking the best food and hanging out with his pack, but now that he has met the curvy and curly-headed goddess is all he can think about. So he decides to test her while he ignores the pull of his mate. Ariella was stunned when he insists on a single night with her but after persuasion from her family agrees with the hope he will realise she is his mate and act on it. Can the sassy feline prove that she can take anything he dishes out?
This was a very enjoyable story which showed just how determined Ariella had to be in order to get Brock to realise just what he had and how he needed to man up and take what (or who) was on offer. I loved the way that the story ended and how that improved everything between the two of them. Clear and easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Breaking Sass by C.D. Gorri
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Sheila Rand is a member of the Dire Wolf Motorcycle Club and likes speed. He is generally defiant and outspoken but as she is Derrick the Alpha's cousin it is tolerated by the pack. Police detective and lion shifter Leonard Crowley tends to not overlook Sheila's incursions and is always at the MC club at the moment while he investigates some grief from anti-shifter activists, Leo's father is ailing and he is asked to confront issues in his own Blue Valley Pride including taking a mate from the females available to him. However, Leo has a surprise for them. He’s already met his mate, he just has to claim her. Will the feisty couple discover that breaking sass is much more fun together?
This was a fun book to read where the couple butt heads together until it was too impossible to ignore. The way they worked together over the problems in Leo's pack was great and a clear promise as to how things could be in the future for them. Well written and easy to feel and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Shake That Sass by C.D. Gorri
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Alpha Dire Wolf Derrick Randis looking to end their nomadic lives and so they follow a lead and set up in a small town called Blue Creek. Bobcat shifter Lucy Corwyn is driving through Blue Creek when she is stranded by an unreliable car without any money to pay for anything. Although bobcats don't normally mix with other species, she is forced to find a job and so applies for one at the new biker bar in town called Serious Moonlight, and so she is stunned when the sexy Alpha is her mate. Completely out of her comfort zone, Lucy is certainly not going to make it easy for him. If Derrick is going to catch his cat he is going to have to shake that sass.
This was a very enjoyable story where Lucy made it very hard for Derrick to make headway with her. After a while, it got to be a little silly, and so I was relieved when it changed and everything became more acceptable to them both. I enjoyed some of the drama in the story and the events that happened. Well written and easy to understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Frost by Michelle M. Pillow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Alien Edur (aka Frost Chaos) just wants to get away from the ice tundra of his home planet and go to Earth and find a mate even if it is with a mail-order bride company he really should have checked out before he had signed up with them. Meg Taylor is a journalist and is currently away from the city caring for her father, and so when she realises there is a potential story after hearing about a blue hockey player in her town she feels compelled to follow it up so she can publish it. When she follows Frost home she will get much more of a story than she ever imagined. She will encounter dangerous mercenaries, spaceships and a sexy blue alien who is looking for far more than a one night stand. Will this all end up with everyone safe or will it end in disaster?
This was a very enjoyable story that looked in a bit more detail at the complications of the aliens being on Earth looking for mates as well as the forces who were determined to stop them. I loved the way that Meg chose a side in the battle and how she handled it. Well written and easy to read. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Maverick by Ellis Leigh 3 of 5 stars
Maverick by Ellis Leigh
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Maverick wasn't a fan of being on Earth nor of being matched to human mail order bride - especially as she was bossy and fake - everything he didn't want - until suddenly he wanted her. Stacy had spent a year isolated from everyone while being treated in hospital and so she refused to hide away any more. Having seen her twin sister Macy find a match she decided to find herself one too. She just needs to get past her mate's very broody ways. One cranky alien with no clue how to be romantic, one clingy female who refuses to let her dislike of her match stop her, and one slip of the tongue that set the two on a crash course in how not to fall in love. What would you do if you found out the man from your fantasies was actually the man from your science fiction?
This was a pleasant short read that will give you an escape from real life. Easy to read and understand it was possible to lose yourself. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Hudson by Ellis Leigh 3 of 5 stars
Hudson by Ellis Leigh
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Hudson knew as soon as he saw the flyer that he needed a mail order bride from Earth so he had someone to cherish and spoil. Convincing his two crewmates wasn't easy but he managed. Macy's life plan was to go to school, become a doctor and keep her twin sister healthy. Men and dating was an irritant she clearly had no time for right now. Life became far more complicated when her twin sister applied for her to become a mail-order bride. Suddenly she had a hot guy looking at her as if she was the greatest thing ever - something that she simply had no idea how to deal with. What would you do if you found out the man from your fantasies was more like the man from your science fiction?
This was a sweet story that was novella length and had a very focussed Macy against the determination of Hudson (with the added complication of her twin sister's involvement). Easy to read and a good escape from real life. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Cutlass by Ellis Leigh 3 of 5 stars
Cutlass by Ellis Leigh
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Alien Cutlass never envisaged being on a backward planet such as Earth but he was looking for a way to survive by finding himself a mate. Wine and an internet connection were a powerful combination and that meant that Chloe signed up to a mail-order bride service, especially when she realised the next day that she had really stretched the truth. As they meet and spend time together in the same hotel room they both have some thinking to do. What would you do if you found out the man from your fantasies was actually the man from your science fiction?
This was a sweet little story that was easy to read where an alien met his fated mate. A quick read that was enjoyable. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: The Dire Bear's Witch by Jessica Ripley 4 of 5 stars
The Dire Bear's Witch by Jessica Ripley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Witch and new immortal Dixie Reade runs into Gerri Wilder in a coffee shop and as she is looking for some excitement in her life she so agrees to go to a party with Gerri. The party is at the Dire Bear Estate which is where Slade Galath lives and even after centuries has managed to consistently tell Gerri he is not interested in finding a mate and settling down. That all when Slade meets Dixie, his fated mate. Neither of them trusts love, but they are backed into a corner when the local wolf pack targets Dixie by setting the immortal council on her. The effect of that is that if she can’t convince the local coven to sponsor her, the council will exterminate her - something neither Slade nor his dire wolf is prepared to accept. Can these two get over their stubbornness and figure out the best way for Dixie to get set up with the council, and accept the best way for each other?
I loved this story which was really sweet in places (as well as annoying as hell when they fought against what was their fate). I liked the twist with the reporting her to the immortal council and how that worked out. Well written and enjoyable. A good clean novella and very enjoyable.

Tiger shifter Pamela Brown and her son are part of the Maverick Pride and is working hard to take care of him as well as makeup to everyone for her mistakes from the past and forge a new relationship with the pride. So Pamela is stunned when the Nari chooses her to represent them at Gerri Wilder’s annual holiday gala. Javier Auberon is an Andean Bear Shifter who’s recently moved to the states from his South American home. As Gerri is his honorary aunt it is obvious for him to go and spend the holidays with her. He had always resisted his aunt's attempts at getting him to use her dating agency's service but he has no idea that she has arranged for his fated mate to be at her holiday party. Can this Bear Shifter make all of Pamela’s Christmas wishes come true?
This was a lovely story with a sweet HEA ending. With its focus on the holidays, it is a nice short read to pick up at that time of year to get into the holiday spirit. I loved the way that after an initial bad start Javi was very careful to get Pamela used to the idea of having a mate and to get her son used to a new man being on the scene who would care for him just like a father should. Well written and easy to read. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Bear Naked by LeTeisha Newton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Curvy blogger Alejandra Perez has a popular blog called Hear Me Roar where she tries to educate today's women to love their curves and stand firm again those who want to change them. When a visitor to her blog dares her to see Gerri Wilder at the Paranormal Dating Agency in order to find her a date who will appreciate her, she decides to follow their suggestion and document the process on her blog. Bear shifters Deni and Rich have always been connected in life up to now and have decided that they need to share a single woman in a triad. However, she needs to be able to understand the unique way they are bonded and hope that Gerri can find them a suitable mate to make them complete. Can they find the right woman to handle their bears, help them fight for supremacy over the clan and help fix their own relationship which becomes an issue that puts a strain on their friendship and leaves them feeling broken, not to mention it sends the clan into near civil war. Deni and Rich are determined to show Alejandra that’s she’s perfect for them. Failure is not an option, and all is fair in love and mating.
I loved this story and how Ally was quite negative about finding love but over time the guys were able to persuade her that they knew her well, had paid total attention to her and that they all really did belong together. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content and examples of consensual BDSM practices.

Bearback Bride by Liv Brywood
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Arizona is fleeing from an arranged marriage with a Mob boss and is helped to a solution by friend Gerri Wilder. A gorgeous cowboy bear shifter called Garrett as agreed to protect her as long as she agrees to pose as his fiancée so that he can make his dying father happy. When she gets there while they definitely have a fake relationship, there is absolutely no doubting the mutual desire running between them. This could turn out to be the most dangerous game she has ever played. Whilst Garrett has no intention to get married and be tied down, his bear has a completely different viewpoint to him and is determined to fight for the woman who is actually his fated mate. Their arrangement is only supposed to last a couple of weeks, but at the end of it can they get each other go?
This was a very emotional story that had plenty of drama and action at times (and not just in the bedroom either!). It was nice to see them get some kind of relationship in the end (even though a large part of what was between them was the sex to start with). Easy to understand. Contains a lot of explicit sexual content.

Save A Horse: Paranormal Dating Agency by Jennifer Wedmore
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Freelance journalist Ryley Stewart had a mission in life to travel the country to meet shifters and write about them in order to educate others. Gerri Wilder contacts her in order to help her find new shifters to interview and because Gerri runs the Paranormal Dating Agency, Ryley makes it clear to her that she is not interested in finding a mate just in interviewing them. Horse shifter TC Donovan was not interested in finding a mate - he was far too busy running his ranch and trying to rehabilitate injured and traumatised horses after the actions of people - something which made him very distrustful and grouchy. Hr really didn't way a journalist staying at his house and interviewing him. After the one look at her, TC knew he had met his mate but was Ryley willing to give up her globe-trotting lifestyle and stay with him on his ranch or would she stick to the original plan and use Gerri's help to meet other shifters?
This was a sweet story that showed him sudden it was for both a shifter and a human to know that they had a connection that could not be ignored. I loved the drama with the other shifters that involved Ryley and her best friend Kat. I can tell that Kat is going to be in a shifter story later in the series. Contains explicit sexual content.

Shadow of Doubt by Wren Michaels
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
After the death of his mother, Navy SEAL Kamon “Shadow” Aromdee is travelling to Thailand in order to put her ashes near to her husband's grave over there. He is also hoping that when he is there he can unlock the mystery of his father he was always absent and get some closure on that chapter in his life. CIA Agent Malia “Tiger” Danpae is on her way to Thailand to fulfil her life's mission to go deep undercover and take down the man who killed her parents - the infamous drug lord Thet Yaza. Ok, it is really only supposed to be recon as the CIA really wants him alive, but she sees it as her shot to take him down. A chance meeting between Shadow and Malia on a plane entwines their lives and their hearts. Shadow's past comes back to haunt him and he is sucked deep into the underground world of the drug cartel where he sees Malia is a part of it. Devastation and betrayal drive a series of really bad decisions mean that they put both their lives in danger. With the help of former Navy SEAL, John “Tex” Keegan, and Shadow’s SEAL teammates, he must push through the doubt of his past and come to grips with the fact that love isn’t always black and white. Will they come out of this to have a future together?
I enjoyed this story which connected nicely with some characters from earlier books in the series so that they played some crucial parts in the story. I loved the way that they had such an instant connection and the way that the story evolved into including the whole team (although I have no idea how a whole group of SEALs could go to a foreign country with weapons and take part in something so dramatic). It was easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Steeling His Heart by Wren Michaels 4 of 5 stars
Steeling His Heart by Wren Michaels
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
After 20 years as a SEAL, Malik "Steel" Thompson needs to decide if he going to re-up or retire. His folks want him to retire and take over the family's blacksmith business at home in Eagle Rock, Montana but as Steel has never been anything but a military man back at the place he couldn't wait to get out of when he was eighteen it's really not the way he wants to go. As a barrel runner at rodeos and trying to get her World Championship back after she had to take time off due to injury, LeTeisha "Letty" Stephens really needs to win the purse at the finals to make sure that she doesn't lose everything as well as be able to afford to care for her ailing mother. So when Letty sees something she wasn't meant to, she could lose her life let along with the race. Steel, with the help of Hank Patterson and the Brotherhood Protectors, take on the fight of his life - the usual for him in taking down the bad guys although he also finds himself taking on a different fight too - the one for his heart. Can Steel and Letty get the HEA they deserve?
I really enjoyed this story which had a lot of tormented emotions as Steel tried to sort out what he wanted as well as Letty trying really hard to remember to take care (although failing miserably) with the bad guys. There was a lot of danger, drama and action at parts of this story as they worked through what was happening, what they wanted to do, what they really wanted (which wasn't necessarily the same thing), and how the story actually developed. I loved the relationship between Letty and Steel and they were a great balance of passion and fire. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: The Fox and The Hound 2: Kisses From the Kremlin by Wren Michaels 5 of 5 stars
The Fox and The Hound 2: Kisses From the Kremlin by Wren Michaels
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The Fox and the Hound are back in action again. Jayla “Fox” McFadden is trying to work out who wants her dead and her new relationship with Noah “Hound” Kendrick feels as if it is already on the rocks due to the pressure on each awkward moment they are together trying to have a "normal" life. But if we think about it, what is normal for a CIA spy and a Navy SEAL? So she is almost glad for the thinking time. Hound's Navy SEAL team gets orders to blow up one arm of the Russian Mafia but when he learns that Jayla is there the orders don't sit well with him to kill everyone who is there and he suddenly finds he has to choose between his country and Fox. Finding out that Jayla's long lost father is there adds a new complication to the entire situation. Can the Fox and the Hound unite and take down some of the government, the mafia and find a solution to save each other in the battle of love, lies and loss?
Wow, this was a very dramatic story that had a lot of twists, turns as they had to fight against the odds and often the accepted convention in order to survive. I loved the major twists that happened and how they were able to adapt to whatever life threw at them. I loved some other the interactions to the rest of the SEAL team and the way that some of them are definitely potentials for later books in the series. loved the way it ended. Easy to read and feel the thoughts and emotions of the characters. Contains explicit sexual content.

The Fox and The Hound by Wren Michaels
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Jayla “Fox” McFadden works for the CIA - she is a chemist by day in a lab but goes on missions and utilises her unique talents when needed. Those talents could be bomb building, creating booby traps, or just stealing information. She has always fought tooth and nail to prove that she can do everything and that to assume she is "just a woman" is a bad idea and looks that way too wearing Doc Martens, leather mini skirts and thick black eyeliner. SEAL Noah “Hound” Kendrick is the best tracker on his team and after a tragic incident from his childhood is focussed on the SEALs being his family and duty now so lets nothing get in his way (including love) because he will not let anyone hurt him again. Jayla is on a mission to retrieve a list of buyers from an arms dealer and is teamed with the SEALs as they need to take out the bunker hidden offshore near the dealer's private island. A squall line from an impending hurricane throws off their plans and Jayla and Noah get separated from the team and so wash up on a deserted airforce base in the middle of the Pacific. Now the Fox and the Hound need to survive the physical elements and each other as they ride out the physical and emotional storm. Can they survive everything thrown at them?
I loved this story which was a great mixture of danger, drama and emotions as they managed to survive some very scary scenarios and the worked their way through a huge amount of emotional baggage from their childhoods. I loved their relationship and how is quickly developed from all the events and emotions that they both experienced together. I was thrilled when they found a way to have a proper kind of relationship and how the rest of the squad helped Hound to understand the emotions he was feeling after their return (so good to see those very strong men were also emotionally adults too). Twisted Lies by Melanie James
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Mikah Dawson has a lying problem - no matter how hard she tries nearly every word out of her mouth is a lie. She does know how to tell the truth, but she is so determined to keep a wall around her heart to protect herself that she has to lie constantly. After an unsubtle hint from Gerri Wilder, wolf shifter Jason Black leaves his home area to find his mate. When he finds the hottest and most alluring woman she has ever seen who was made just for him, things don't go so well as she appears to hate him on sight. The question is, does she really hate him?
This was a really nice story. I have to say that I found Micah one of the most irritating people and her constant lying was just too much in the end. Part of me is surprised that the author managed to write a character such as her because it must have been very difficult. I loved Jason who seemed to be a really nice guy. Well written and enjoyable, it was easy to read and understand everything (even if I didn't like Micah). Contains some sexual content.

Twisted Fate by Melanie James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Ruby Jean St. James has carefully crafted a set of rules to live her life by where she does her job, keeps her head down, and most importantly her emotions in check at all times. Bad things happen to her when she loses control so she also avoids certain people. Shifter Liam Olsen has been blessed by the Gods and has ancient Majik waiting with a dark side that knows no bounds Fates and Gerri Wilder, owner of The Paranormal Dating Agency, conspires to make sure that they meet. Can they overcome their differences or will they destroy one another?
This was definitely a dramatic story where two very powerful and blessed people came together in a total whirlwind of power and passion. I liked the way that the others had some involvement and the fact that the two of them were able to find a way to be together. Well written and easy to read. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Wolf shifter Ethan Lockhart had already found his mate but wasn't happy with the knowledge - the fates have messed with his life to the point he can't consider going near her to claim her - he'll just have to ignore her and avoid her at all costs. Wolf shifter Camryn Dochart is proud of her life - the owns Cam's Diner and works hard, but there is no one to play hard with or share her life with. When her mate walks into her diner she thought that finally, she would have the happily ever after that she craves but her mate had other ideas - specifically, he had no intention of claiming her and giving in to the Fates.
This was a really enjoyable story that detailed the complex web that was conspiring to keep Cam and Ethan apart by complicating his life from early on. I loved the way they managed to work through it with the help of others and that the lesson was to share problems not try and handle them on your own. Lots of danger and drama on this story plus proof that love can change all. Easy to read and understand it contains some sexual content.

Wolf shifter Ethan Lockhart had already found his mate but wasn't happy with the knowledge - the fates have messed with his life to the point he can't consider going near her to claim her - he'll just have to ignore her and avoid her at all costs. Review: Shift of Fate by Wren Michaels 4 of 5 stars
Shift of Fate by Wren Michaels
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Sylvia Schneider has dreamt of Navy SEALs for years and creates them digitally for a video game she is producing. She is still devastated by the death of her military fiance and hasn't dated since which has been two years. When her boss asks her to introduce the new game at a gaming convention in Vagas she is made to leave the house and pull herself out of her funk. She has been receiving threats from someone insisting that she stole their game design so her boss sends her to John “Tex” Keegan, a former Navy SEAL, for help. He sets her up with a serving SEAL as a bodyguard to make sure she remains safe. Wolf shifter Braxton “Brawn” O'Brien left home to make a name for himself and so joins as a Navy SEAL where his family runt status is irrelevant as he is bigger than all the humans. After being forced into medical leave thanks to a recent bout of anger issues and rage that he seems to be unable to control, he needs to work out what the problem is and fix it before his career is over. However, after taking a bodyguard gig from Tex he only has to look at the woman he is guarding and he knows exactly what was wrong with him - he needed a mate and that mate is Sylvia. Can he persuade his mate that she is his mate and find their happiness together? At the convention, the threats against her turn into an attack and Braxton and he will do whatever he needs to do to protect his mate. However, Sylvia has her own secrets that might make or break the mating bond between them - can this all work out so they can be happy ever after?
I loved this story which showed a vulnerable Sylvia and the strong Braxton who both had their own issues but between them, they were able to move past them and solve everything. I loved the relationship between them and the way that Braxton tried his best to give her the time to think about things and get used to it, and the way that Braxton did what he needed to do in order to protect her. There was a bit of a surprise at the end which I loved. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual xontent.

Review: Mercy Strange by Alisa Woods 5 of 5 stars
Mercy Strange by Alisa Woods
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Witch Mercy Strange is a genetic research lead in her family's medical technology company. She is trying to work out how the new drug that can turn people's magick talents on and off works. It stems from the illegal drugs trade and was illegally tested on real people (her father was one of them). She also has a hidden agenda - one of her own talents is too dangerous and so she wants to take it herself. In order to succeed she has to train the FBI's very sexy field agent so he can go undercover. FBI Agent Swift Payne keeps telling himself this is just another job, but Mercy and her emotional soundscape are singing to him and he is trying to tell himself repeatedly that this is just a job. He can tell she is hiding a lot below the surface but so is he. He needs to make sure for himself that she is not dirty in this. With Swift having a secret talent and Mercy having a talent that is a secret, can they work together and get to the bottom of this illegal drug that is so dangerous?
This was a great second instalment in the series and developed our knowledge of the secret drug further. I loved the dynamic between Mercy and Swift which started with suspicion and mistrust and over time developed into something which became love and a need to protect each other. I loved the way it ended and was thrilled with the way that Mercy handled the threat to them both from the sections in the FBI and associated agencies. The so-called monk in the story seems to be a character so much more investigations in the next part of this gripping story. Well written and easy to understand. Contains some sexual content.

Review: Ever Strange by Alisa Woods 5 of 5 stars
Ever Strange by Alisa Woods
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Zane Walker is an incubus and works for the FBI as an agent. He is currently working undercover in a deadly drug cartel trying to work out the source of the enhancers that they are peddling. The a beautiful with storms in making demands that she thinks she can back up with magic forcing him to make a split decision to save her life. Billionaire witch and scientist Ever Strange discovered that her father was murdered and not the overdose that it was made to appear (Asher Strange was a world-renowned med-magick researcher and would never take drugs like that). Before she can get an autopsy his body has disappeared so she is determined to get some answers. Someone’s putting deadly magick into street drugs which are killing people all over the city. Where Zane’s magick is monstrous, Ever’s power brings out his beast. But when she insists on finding her father keeping her safe has suddenly become his job (obsession) which is on top of stopping an epidemic of overdoses that just might be cover for a serial killer. Together, they work to stop the dark magick that’s stalking the streets of Chicago but can they keep their own secrets from consuming them both?
I loved this story which had a great mixture of a mystery and a romance as they struggled with and then gave in to the undeniable attraction between them both. Thankfully they had dangerous powers but they actually appeared to cancel the danger out when they were together. Well written and easy to read - I was addicted to the story and could not put it down. Contains some sexual content.

Once and Future Dragons: Paranormal Dating Agency by Marianne Morea
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Dragon shifters Dmitri and Santer are the alpha and omega of the Sandrekar clan and have decided not to accept a fate and mate as chosen by their elders and escape up to the surface - the first to do that in centuries. They have a stolen map but are caught in a sandstorm and find an even more potent whirlwind in the form of dragon shifter Leysa Soren. Leysa is determined not to submit to an arranged marriage and petition the King of Nova Aurora for the sole rights as clan heir. What she didn't expect was to fall into the arms of a matched set of dragons and a matchmaker in the form of Gerri Wilder who claim they were fated to be mated. Coming to terms with their triad was hard enough, now they need to fight for both their worlds!
This was a lovely instalment of the Paranormal Dating Agency and added new detail to the occupants of the Nova Aurora system. I liked the drama and danger that they all faced and the strong and sassy woman that Leysa was. Well written and easy to read. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Splash Investment by Roxanne Witherell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Mermaid Hannah Harper sought sanctuary in the city away from the ocean only returning when he really had to. She thought working behind the bar in Heads N’ Tails she was safe from the creature hunting mermaids and so wasn't focussed on finding love - after all could she trust anyone? Investor Alec White sees an opportunity to make an investment in an aquatic level in Heads N’ Tails that caters to the needs of water shifters like him. However, what he didn't know was that his aunt has set everything up in the hope that he will find love there. The problem is when he finds it can he keep it?
I liked this story which has some real drama and danger that could easily end with Hannah lost forever to Alec. I really liked the connection back to Hannah's family history as well as Alec's and the way it was resolved. Maybe this was written to prove to folks that not all sharks are evil? Well written and easy to understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Novella length story. Cougar shifter Izzy Howell goes to spend the holidays at her aunt's inn in Bearden, Montana in order to repair her broken heart. However, when a hot dragon shifter walks into her suite she is ready to leave and get home, but her cougar is much more interested in being around him. When curvacious Izzy captures a picture containing his target Zane's plans are upended and he has to stay in town to hunt him by staying in town, enjoying the festivities and using Izzy to be his cover but the more time he spends with her the more he questions his priorities. However, while Zane and Izzy are distracted together a deadly criminal is hunting them both. Chase the bounty or chase his mate... Zane will need a Christmas miracle to claim them both.
This was a sweet short story with a sassy woman and stubborn man. Plenty of drama and action. Easy to read and understand. Has some sexual content at the end.

Covering His Fox by Roxanne Witherell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Fox shifter Foxy O’Malley has watched as other people around her find their true mates and is becoming impatient especially as she is working alongside the man who is meant for her - if only he was to take notice and do something about it. After she receives an anonymous gift she decides to make the first move but it wasn't him - how embarrassing! Bear shifter Menot Talbit moved to the city to prepare for the rest of his clan to follow. When he starts working at the Heads N’ Tails club he had no idea he would find his mate - however he was warned to stay away from her or lose his job! When customers start disappearing and detectives believe that Foxy is behind it all, his is alarmed when he doesn't turn up for her shift. It has to be up to him now to prove she is innocent as well as find her.
This was a really nice story where Foxy and Menot just couldn't keep away from each other and then were very glad to have gone that far in a relationship as it meant that he could find and rescue her. Lots of drama and danger in this story which was clearly written and easy to read. Contains explicit sexual content.

She lost the love of her life five years ago, but now BJ Elwood (one of a small group of friends) is content with being alone. However, her friends have other ideas and decide that Gerri Wilder of the Paranormal Dating Agency will be able to help her. Tiger shifter Dare Forrester has been alone ever since he lost his wife twenty years ago in a tragic fire. When he meets BJ and starts to care for her is he going to lose her the same way and can he survive that kind of loss again?
I liked this story which proved that you can get love later in life after a loss just as well as you can when you are young. I liked the fact that there were danger and drama factors just as well as there were tender moments, but either way, it made BJ and Dare stronger together. Well written and easy to read. For the Love of Fire and Ice by Roxanne Witherell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Dragon shifters Tony and Bryan are a bonded pair who are only missing a woman to share it with. Even with their work as owners of a multi-level club doesn't help them to find the right woman for her. Annette wants to find the kind of happiness her best friend Braelynn and so agrees to go on a date with a shifter that has been organised by Gerri Wilder. What she doesn't expect to find, are two men waiting for her at the restaurant, not the one she expected. Everything seems to be going well between them until a jealous ex who has come to claim Bryan for herself. Can Annette keep the two men she has grown so fond of?
This story had a lot of drama and danger involving the jealous ex and it was great to see that they worked together and were able to overcome everything that they had thrown at them. I loved their belief in each other and how they were able to work together even though the guys had not known her for a long time. Well written, it was clear and easy to read and understand. Contains a lot of sexual content which also includes MM and MFM scenarios.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Braelynn Summers met a shifter three years ago at a bar and it resulted in her in a coma for three weeks and waking up with some brain damage which turned her into some sort of sex-crazed freak. Struggling she does something she swore never to do - she looks for a shifter to satisfy her intense sexual urges. Pegasus shifter Ronan Styles is running out of time - he has until his 38th birthday to find his mate or he'll lose his wings and revert to being just a horse shifter. He turns to Gerri Wilder at the Paranormal Dating Agency hoping that he is not too late for her to find his special someone. When she finds him someone, he is surprised to find that she is prejudiced again shifters. Can Braelynn move beyond her prejudice and embrace life with Ronan? Or will her past and his secret be their downfall?
I really liked this story. It was nice to see the best of shifters balanced with the worst of them too. I was so pleased that Ronan was so perfect for her and that they found a way to move past her history with shifters. Full of danger, drama and excitement the description of her flying with him was wonderful and actually made me feel quite jealous! Well written and very enjoyable. The Prince of Ganamarsia needs a mate and they need to have had a child before his 30th birthday or he'll die. He also has to close friends who are like brothers so him and so together they form a triad. In desperation, after looking at every female on their planet as well as some others, they turn to Gerri Wilder of the Paranormal Dating Agency and she sends them a mate in a small shuttle. So soon as she arrives they know she is the right one, but can they persuade her that she is theirs and that she needs to stay?
There were parts of this book that had promise, but they were never expanded upon so that I could not connect them into the rest of the book. I could understand who the bad guys were but not why they were like that (did they think they were right for the triad and not the woman from Earth, had they made a deal in order to take control, was there another reason?) and then also what happened between the end of the problem (were the bad guys jailed, banished or executed), then what happened at the end (how did the pregnancy go, how did she settle into the role, did Gerri ever visit them). I have so many questions. As much as I love the PDA series, give this one a miss.

Scrooged Over by Milly Taiden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Priscilla Bryant had thought it was simply being matched by the famous Gerri Wilder and then all her romantic dreams would come true. However, having met him, the shifter who was her match turned out to be a complete jerk and she never wants to see him again. Lake Walker knows that sexy Pricilla is his mate as soon as he sees her and was shocked to then find that she hates his guts (which is definitely not supposed to happen when you meet your mate). Yes, she is a handful, but he is willing to fight for the woman sho is his. It's not every day that Gerri is told she made a mistake (like never) but it seems that someone is doing everything they can to keep them apart even if one of them dies as a result. Can Lake and Pricilla solve the mystery and find out who is sabotaging their future together or will they be too late?
I really liked this which had lots of drama, danger and a huge mystery to solve as we worked through it all with them. It was cleverly written so you really weren't completely sure who and why until the end. I really felt for them and was really pleased when it was all sorted out and they could have a future together. Contains just some sexual content.

But she has a broken leg and it just will not heal - she tried magic and even Dr Bombay which means she can't ride her broom. Her familiar is a cranky and very old elf called Edgar insists that she has been cursed. Then her mate and Dragon Guardsman Liam hears and it did not go well. She just needs to face facts that she is never going to heal if she doesn't get his help. Can they save Christmas and cure Ella?
This was a sweet story if you can get used to the way that the Brown witches talk. I liked the premise of the story and it was a nice and short Christmas story. You really need to have read the previous book in the series in order to understand who people are and how Ella might have been injured.

Review: Caught Between Two Blue Aliens: An In the Stars Scifi Alien Romance by Celia Kyle by Michele Mills 3 of 5 stars
Caught Between Two Blue Aliens: An In the Stars Scifi Alien Romance by Celia Kyle by Michele Mills
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Waitress Jenna is struggling (even though she has three jobs) to keep herself and her two younger siblings safe and with a roof over their heads while paying for expensive medical treatment for the youngest who has a lung condition. So she took a well-paying job for one night at Drokten Main to dish out drinks and canapes. At the party, she overheard a plot to destroy the Drokten and kick them off the planet - which seems very wrong to her as they saved the planet from near destruction. So she ignores protocol and walks up to the blue aliens to warn them finding herself in front of the Commander of the entire Drokten fleet, as well as the Drokten Ambassador. She soon finds herself sandwiched between them where they tell her that she has to return to their ship and be with them. Determined to not be an alien one-night stand as well as conscious of her obligations to her siblings she slips away from them and returns home. However, they are determined to find the woman who is their mate and destined to complete their triad. Can they find her, accept her brother and sister, sort out the threat to the Draken presence on Earth and persuade her that she belongs with them on their spaceship and then planet?
I liked the plot of the story which was a good alien/human mate story and the way that they incorporated her siblings into their plans which were done with total care for her. I found the style of writing a little strange at times as it was a bit too chatty and casual in places. There were definitely times when I would have happily given her a little shake. The main thing is that there was a HEA in the end and I was very pleased with how it played out. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Her Cougar Sunrise by Moxie North 4 of 5 stars
Her Cougar Sunrise by Moxie North
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Tessa Blackwood was really angry - she thought she was in a relationship that was going somewhere when the guy she was dating left her a brief voicemail breaking up with her saying he had met a shifter and they were mates. In a very drunken state, she called Gerri Wilder at the Paranormal Dating Agency berating shifters for ruining her life! Fate (with a little help from Gerri) sent her to Texas to work in a bar for the weekend under the guise of earning extra money she could use to look after her sick mother. Cougar shifter Levi Nash was really not interested in finding a mate assuming it would either happen or not - especially as he had a secret that he was not prepared to share with anyone (especially his own sister). However, his little sister signed him up with Gerri Wilder and the PDA which he tolerated in order to make her happy. It only took a beer and the new waitress and his local bar to completely change his destiny. However, convincing Tessa that mates can and do happen in the blink of an eye is the only way they can both have a happy future.
This was a sweet story that had a few curveballs in the events that happened as part of events that happened to them both. I loved the way that Levi was having to work overtime in order to persuade Tessa and just how against the whole concept she was. I loved the way he moved everything (and everyone) in order for them to be together. Well written, it was easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.
