Lorcan and his brothers have a mission away from their home on Orem station and so he volunteers to make sure that they preserve their space in the Empire. His only regret is that he had to leave behind the beautiful jeweller but he is resigned to only see her in his dreams until he returns. The mission turns into a nightmare when he actually finds her there in a den of torment. Torn between the desire for her and his duty to complete the mission can he save her and complete it? Cintha Rosek had a quiet life with clients who respected her skill and a safe home to help her mask the shadow of her brother's disappearance. When her niece asks questions in dangerous places Cintha will have to put aside her tools and investigate them further but the giant mercenary will be her salvation even though he is not what he seems. When reality blends around them can she rely on the other certainty - his heated touch?
I enjoyed this story about their relationship and the way that they had to work together (sometimes in a quite extreme way) in order to escape and achieve the aims of the mission which will answer questions for them both. The game they found themselves in was really imaginative and I can imagine that relating to many games on consoles. I loved their relationship and the way that they have to learn trust very rapidly. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.
