Novelist Drucilla Holloway is so desperate to finish writing her novel that she takes a job as a night clerk in a haunted hotel Hancock House at the top of a snow-covered mountain just to get the peace and quiet she needs. Bizarrely dead animals keep turning up on the grounds of the hotel and it appears as if someone is sneaking around the tunnels underneath the hotel. She is also captivated by mysterious hotel guest Viktor Striker who appears to have his own secrets but does appear to be entranced by her and does take things further with the willing Dru. Then things take a deadly turn at the hotel.
I enjoyed this story which was very enjoyable as we followed the intrigue around the hotel, the staff, the guests and the hotel itself. The author described everything well and it was as if I was there. I loved the drama and the identity of Viktor appears as if he could be a vampire, but then again is he something else instead? Easy to read and understand. Contains some sexual content.
