Human Evie lives on Salo and wakes up to find a winged infant crying on her porch. Determined to do her best for the child she takes it in and starts to care for her using the supplies that were left there too. Then she sometimes hears footsteps and the faint brush of feathers before one day seeing the baby's father Isak Firestone. Isak finds he cannot stay away from both his child and Evie and he wraps his wings around her as each night they share her bed before the morning when she finds him gone. Why did the Hyrrokin male leave his baby with her and will he one day leave, taking the child with him?
This was a sweet story that seems to pull the monster bites series together nicely although I have an outstanding thought as to if they are going to meet their brothers back in their homeworld? I enjoyed the duplicitous nature of the so-called delegation and that Isak knew them so well as to see through the lies. Easy to read and understand. Contains sexual content.
