Jackson Pryde and Xander Wright are very happy together and everything appears to be finally going their way - the Guild of Artificers is getting larger and stronger as the other Black Market masters are helping, a second AI is starting to wake up and it also appears that Jackson has actually invited something which is commercial and can be sold to generate an income. However, not everything is good and Madame Catherine Grayhaven apparently does not forgive easily and so is rallying her students determined for war with the fac in Verdance. Can Jackson and Xander join the fight but actually find King Oberon in order to hold him to account?

Wow - from what starts off as a scene of domestic bliss for the two loved-up men everything soon changes and differing sources of chaos hit them from all directions although there were some major positives. I loved the marketable idea that Jackson came up with and the way to fill it up as proposed by Xander was very inspired (in more ways than one). I also really liked the track that the guys are sticking to which is to concentrate on fixing things as opposed to destroying them which is definitely a way for us all to live by in the real world. Some major secrets and some great progress. Clear to read and understand, I love the writing style of this author which definitely transports me to the world where this book is set. Contains some mature content and the main characters are in an M/M relationship.

August's life is turned upside down when Jase arrives at the farm naked and in need of shelter and is immediately drawn to him - even though he appears to have a secret.

I enjoyed this story which had some suitable levels of danger and drama while Augustus and Jase got to know each other as August realised that there were shifters all over the place - he just didn't realise. I loved the way that they cared for each other and that they were kind to a boy in need to the point that Jase would shift in order to make him happy. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content.

Human Lamira has hidden her claircognizance from the Ocretion aliens as aberrant traits in human slaves mean a death sentence. Over time Lamira is subjected to humiliating punishments and dominance which awakens a powerful lust in her, which he tracks with a monitoring device on her arousal rate. But when she begins to care for him, she must choose between preserving her own life and revealing her secret to save his.

Part of me enjoyed this story as they did grow to care for each other, but part of me did not. I really did not appreciate the discipline and abuse that he showed to her and how that did not seem to really change even at the end of the story. It did have some drama and danger at a few points but it was mostly abuse of a slave as even that tracking of her arousal rate which was just unpleasant as well as all the sex. Only for mature readers.

I enjoyed this story which has a sassy woman who charms and overcomes the reservations of an obstinate man as they are at sea having adventures while they both start to fall for each other. I loved the touch of the two orphans who were stowaways as well as their bad family members. I was overjoyed when Zenir got the stick out of his backside and came to the correct conclusion. Easy to read and understand. Contains some mature content.

Kian had only been focused on revenge for so long that he easily believed that Ellia was capable of betrayal and so when the truth is revealed to him he is determined to do whatever it takes to win her back. So he offers her a deal as he fights for what he needs - which is Ellia and their love. Will she give him second chance or are their mistakes just far too big to overcome?

Wow - big emotions in this second book in the series as Kian realises just how badly he messed up at the end of the previous book and then has to do whatever it takes in order to win back Ellia and fix her broken heart. He certainly had a lot to do and he was just as focused on her as he would have been on a business deal. I loved the interaction between him and his younger brother so that they were a family again and the way he removed his father was pretty awesome too. I was thrilled when they were able to patch everything back up and it was so sweet the power that their offspring had over such a powerful man. Easy to read and understand. Contains plenty of mature content.

Meeting him for the second interview she discovers that he has no clue about women and has lots of single friends which would be good for her struggling business but he describes them as werewolves and demons. She just knows that she has to help him. When death threats start to arrive Shelley's not sure she is cut out for the job, but her dating algorithm says that she is his ideal partner - should she take a risk for love or run like hell?

I enjoyed this story which was a fun romp through the start of the supernatural dating agency as well as covering how Shelley and Theo met. I did like their relationship although it did focus a little too much on the sexual side of things. The complications were a little cheesy but it was amusing. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content.

In the first year of operation, Quinton had been a patient at Hathaway House. Having healed enough to move on with life, she went into law and worked hard to make a lasting career. While visiting Stan at the entre she collapsed on the way to her brother's room as he is now a patient there. The collapse was a result of a long-term issue which has now become acute and so after a discussion with Dani and Shane she is booked into the centre for a short-term stay. Stan considers Quinton an old friend and has always had a crush on her but figured after her original discharge that his chance had gone, but now he feels that he has been given a second chance for a relationship with her - something he intended to make the best use of. Between her brother and Quinton's own struggles, she is grateful that she has Stan and her old friends at Hathaway House. Now she just has to take the steps that she needs to sort everything out.

I enjoyed this story and the second chance that Stan had with Quinton. Quinton had a lot to handle but I did find some of her self-doubts a little annoying - thankfully she got over it. I loved the way that Stan was her head cheerleader and that she gave her brother no room to fail and wallow in self-pity. A lot of concentration is on emotions and their effect on your physical health. Easy to read and feel, it was dramatic in places but that was necessary and gave a final positive result. I did find the result at the end to be a bit desperate and it was just as well that she gave a positive answer.

But as fated mates, their love is strong enough to make sure that no one will succeed.

I enjoyed this story although it did become a little monotonous at times. I was thrilled when everything worked out for them and I'm sure the result of all that treasury was actually a solution that was far superior to what any of them imagined. That had a great relationship and so it was great to experience the start of that. Easy to read. Contains some mature content.

Human Liara taught school when the King (Kravath) demands that she looks after as a Nanny his late brother's three children who he has inherited. What follows are her befriending and teaching the children and Kravath spending time with them and being fascinated with her. It turns out they are fated mates but it is not easy and they all face challenges and adjustments in order to find a way forward.

It was a pleasant read but it was a bit fast and their relationship was more than a little odd at the start as he was definitely a bully who was used to having his way. Thankfully by the end, they had found a way forward and I believe she would make him a better king due to his lack of tension and anger. I did enjoy it but it was a little uncomfortable in places. Easy to understand. I loved the three children and their relationship with both of the adults. Contains some mature content.
