Human Nayla is a thief and her partner Jesr finds the best jobs to get the best profit. His latest plan is to get into the Droken Library and steal some secret plans. In order to achieve that she needs to get close to Lord Izzy who is the Lord Custodian of Catturn. However, to get close to him she needs to take care of his kids as their nanny which is hard work. Then she finds herself staring at him, wishing they were a family together before he tells her that she is his mate. How can she steal from him now - the problem is if she doesn't her people will die. Is there any solution that can be found to enable them all to have the HEA they deserve?
I enjoyed this story with the plight of a settlement resting on one thief and how Lord Izzy was such a kind man even if he had no idea of what was happening outside of his current book. I liked the treachery angles and the quick thinking involved to get them all out of the situation in the end. Easy to read and understand. It was also easy to become invested in the story.
