Cameron McNamara is a member of the Syndicate and the current Mayor of Boston and although he doesn't want a wife, he agrees to an arranged marriage to gain political influence and power. When he meets her she is nothing like he imagined and they agree to be married on paper only and she will support him with his goal of becoming a Senator. Violet Campbell has many phobias and has lived in seclusion for years until her father disrupts her peace to insist she has to marry the Boston mayor for his own gain. She can't stand Cameron as he is too arrogant, cold and has no concept of personal space. But at least, they agreed on one thing: No touches. No kisses. No intimacy.

Every night, her husband unravels her and Violet begins to crave more of her husband. What started as an agreement, is turning into something none of them saw coming.
I loved this story with the struggle for Violet to fight past her phobias, the way that Cameron tried in his way to help her, and the way over time their relationship was becoming less distant and more friendly (even if there was also an undercurrent of hate in there). Their passion was electric and all-consuming and I'm sure could have been seen from space. They did seem to have a communication problem when it came to feelings but I think that barrier was removed after a dramatic event. This was easy to read and the feelings (although not always comfortable) were easy to feel and understand. There is plenty of mature content in this story with some BDSM-like behaviours.
