Ryan Sharp never thought he’d be a widower at 51, but that’s the way his cookie unexpectedly crumbled. A year after his husband’s death, he has (mostly) put his life back together. With plans to open a new veterinary clinic on the other side of the country in the works, he heads to his local BDSM club to hopefully find a Dom and let off some steam. That’s where 34-year-old Oscar Williams finds him, and just in the nick of time, too. Visiting a kink club while he’s passing through Brisbane, his protective Daddy instincts kick in when he stumbles upon a Sub being mistreated. Both men have emotional baggage, and Ryan’s never been anyone’s Boy, but bumping into each other again on a random cattle station on the other side of Australia turns out to be a sign neither man can ignore.
This was a sweet story of a second chance at love as a younger Daddy found himself his perfect boy in older vet Ryan. I loved the atmosphere at the cattle station with all of the accepting men. I loved the relationship between Ryan and Oscar. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a Daddy/boy dynamic.
