Review: Satan's little helpers: An Unlocked Mates Special Edition by Athena Steller 3 of 5 stars

Satan's little helpers: An Unlocked Mates Special Edition

Satan's little helpers: An Unlocked Mates Special Edition by Athena Steller
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Dear Satan. Those two words are some of the sweetest that Lucifer has ever read. From December first to December twenty-fifth Lucifer dedicates everything to the happiest time of the year. With a snowstorm raging out his window, his fireplace roaring and warm, and a hot cocoa in his hand, Lucifer is enjoying his favourite month when a portal opens in his office.  Gage and Cary are desperate. In a few short days Gage’s parents are marrying him off to a woman since they don’t believe in true mates. Finding an old magic book in the attic, Cary tries his hand at summoning. If a demon can’t scare Gage’s parents and clowder into leaving them alone, then no one can. They never expected to find their third mate, the king of hell, and the Daddy that they’ve been looking for. Finding his two mates in his living room is a shock. Lucifer is in for an exciting month and that doesn’t count all the presents he needs to assemble in his magical workshop. Dealing with an evil clowder leader, magic being abused, a kidnapped mate, and a moronic angel brother, Lucifer has his hands full. It’s a good thing that he has his own little helpers and Christmas magic!

I enjoyed this story with the two men who loved each other and were desperate to find a way to stay together and how they met their mate who just happened to be Lucifer. I loved the way that he read the Dear Satan letters and tried to help them by making toys. The dramatic ways that evil had taken over the clowder and town was dramatic and definitely needed Lucifer to fix. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB and Daddy/boy dynamics.

Review: Spotlight by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Spotlight

Spotlight by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When Ryder quit the biggest boy band on the planet, he was supposed to get his life back. It was something that he did for his daughter to stop her picture being splashed all over the tabloids. He thought he could parent alone but finds help in the form of a gorgeous guy who is her nanny. If only he wasn’t so tempting. Working as a nanny is the backup to Lyric's backup plan. His first plan is fame, but something always holds him back. After becoming Ryder Kennedy's nanny for his daughter Lyric assumed it would be a short term thing. But then Ryder finds out he can sing. He wasn’t ready to give up music, and now he’s found a new way to have it: through Lyric. He wants to produce his demo and make him a star. He says Lyric was born to be in the spotlight, but he s he was born to run from it. It doesn’t help that each day he's with him and his daughter, the deeper he falls into fantasies of being part of their family. And not just as the nanny.

I loved this story with the two men who are bonded over their love of Ryder's daughter as well as their love of music. I loved their relationship although it was sad that Ryder stayed in the closet. There were a lot of emotions and feelings in this story. I mostly loved the way the story ended. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Foster by Gabbi Grey 3 of 5 stars

Foster

Foster by Gabbi Grey
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Foster is a successful entrepreneur who’s made a good life for himself. He's had a few intimate relationships, but none have lasted. Probably because he hasn't been able to be his authentic self. In his heart, he's a pup. He wants to curl into a wonderful Daddy‘s lap and be petted, stroked, and praised. He longs for piles with other puppies where we play and he can make friends. But who’s going to accept a forty-five-year-old man into that puppy pile? Arnav met Foster on Halloween, and he wanted him because he was good-looking and hot, despite being twenty years his senior. Now, when he spots him across a BDSM playroom, he's struck by his forlorn look. Arnav hasn't seen him there on puppy-play night before, but he's not surprised when he tells him he wants to be a pup. Arnav was born to be a Daddy. For Foster, he's ready to dive into the world of sweet pups and handlers and see if he has what it takes to make Foster’s Christmas wish come true.

This was a sweet story of an older pup and a younger Daddy who rose up over their problems in life to build a relationship together. I loved how supportive Arnav was with Foster although I did think that he kept his own secrets for too long. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic including puppy play.

Review: A Daddy for Christmas 2: Baran by Brina Brady 3 of 5 stars

A Daddy for Christmas 2: Baran

A Daddy for Christmas 2: Baran by Brina Brady
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Nineteen-year-old Baran Arslan gets a shocking Christmas present from his father. When Turkish businessman Marat Arslan discovers his son is gay, he flies him from Istanbul to New York City for the holiday - and abandons him. Cut off from access to his family and any funds Baran must figure out how to survive. Fortunately, he speaks English and soon meets a young man who directs him to Rainbow Haven, a homeless shelter for gay young men. Twenty-eight-year-old Darien Moore has the looks, charm and inherited wealth that would have allowed him to become the perfect New York City playboy. Instead, he has invested his time and money to create Rainbow Haven. He’s found his purpose in providing not just shelter, but a place of hope where young men can rebuild their lives.

This was a sweet story although Baran's situation was heart breaking. I did struggle with the way Darien started a relationship with Baran so easily considering that he was in his care and the way Baran kept running away to the subway. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature and a BSDM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.

Review: A Little Christmas 3: Zachy by Layla Dorine 3 of 5 stars

A Little Christmas 3: Zachy

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Zachy doesn't mean to be naughty, and with Christmas coming up, he's doubling his efforts to be good, despite nagging feelings that it's much too late for his efforts. Will this overly excitable little finally find the Daddy of his dreams beneath the tree, or will Santa skip Zachy's house again this year, and leave him with nothing to celebrate.

This was a sweet story of how little Zachy struggled with an inexperienced Daddy only to find an experienced one who was willing to take them both on. I loved how their relationship developed and that their love for each other meant that there was no real jealousy or resentment. Easy to read and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Ollie by J.P. Sayle 3 of 5 stars

Ollie

Ollie by J.P. Sayle
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

An invitation to an all-expenses paid cruise of a lifetime from his best friend, Leeson, who is getting married, is really exciting for Ollie. Or it would be if the man he was sharing a cabin with wasn't the same man he was secretly dating online. The one man who he wants to get naked with—but doesn't because of how he feels about how he looks. Beckett finds a boy who is the prefect Christmas gift: Ollie. A visit home to Sweet Haven and Beckett discovers who Ollie is, just not what he looks like. He honours Ollie's decision to keep his appearance from Beckett over the following months as their relationship deepens. That is until Garrett asks him to be a groomsman at his wedding. Kismet, or the universe, his friend unknowingly gives Beckett the perfect opportunity to prove Ollie is the boy for him. Now all he has to do is convince Ollie that the size of someone's waistline isn't what's important, but how generous their heart is.

This was a sweet story of how little Ollie and Daddy Beckett found each other. It was sad how Ollie felt about his own body and how others had reinforced it but Beckett was perfect in the way that he treated it. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Mack: Dr. Richards' Littles® 33

Mack: Dr. Richards' Littles® 33 by Pepper North
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Mack Oliver loves his job as a server at Alfonso’s. The clientele is wonderful and the food is divine. Things might be going well at work, but the rest of his life is in shambles. High-powered lawyer, Grey Bradford spends long hours in his office. He does enjoy taking time to enjoy a good meal. When he spots a small fuzzy face peeking at him from the new waiter’s bun, something inside tells Grey to focus. Could this be the Little he’s dreamed of finding?

This was sweet story about Mack and Grey with a touch of danger added to the story from another source. I loved Grey's housekeeper too. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Deke by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Deke

Deke by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ollie's family believe he can’t be happy if he's not out to the world. He has a bitter ex-boyfriend and an unstable NHL career to show for it. A fake boyfriend seems like an easy and quick solution to get my family off my back, and this guy is volunteering. He takes him up on it without asking his name. Lennon doesn’t recognize Ollie Strömberg right away. He covers football, not hockey. They are not supposed to see each other again he’s never supposed to find out Lennon's a reporter. That all changes when his editor reassigns him. Nothing’s changed since high school. Jocks still hate nerds. But even worse, athletes hate journalists. Especially ones who know their secret.

I enjoyed this story as Ollie struggled with hiding his sexuality and the impact of revealing it plus his attraction to Lennon who was "the enemy". I loved Ollie's family and their reactions when Lennon pointed out a few home truths to them. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Anson's Awakening: An M/M Christmas Daddy Romance by Anna Sparrows 3 of 5 stars

Anson's Awakening: An M/M Christmas Daddy Romance

Anson's Awakening: An M/M Christmas Daddy Romance by Anna Sparrows
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Doctor Anson Meyers has decided that Christmas is not for him. He’s lonely and discontented with all his most recent attempts to ‘find himself’ in the world of kink and BDSM. So, when Drake, a fellow Daddy at his local kink club, invites him to hide from the world in a remote cabin over the holidays, Anson jumps at the chance. It doesn’t hurt that he’s got a bit of a crush on Drake, though he knows nothing can come of it because they’re both Daddies. But, when things go a little pear-shaped, Anson discovers that maybe he was wrong. He discovers he was wrong about a lot of things. For Drake Connors, inviting Anson to spend the holidays at his cabin was a friendly gesture. Sure, he’s got a crush on the other guy, but he’s hoping that spending some one-on-one time together will cure him of that. So, extending the invitation made sense to him: neither he nor Anson will be lonely for Christmas, and he’ll get rid of his silly crush. Easy, right? Of course, that’s not how things pan out. Drake doesn’t know which one of them is more surprised when Anson turns out to not really be a Daddy after all and, on top of that, they’re snowed in for Christmas! Whatever will they do?

This was a sweet story as Anson discovered that he had it all wrong and that Drake was the perfect person to help him - some minor angst as Anson worked through his feelings and lots of emotions from both of them. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Trick Play by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Trick Play

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Matt was photographed in a compromising position in a gay bar and his football career tanked. His agent says he can fix his image. He wants him to become the poster boy for gay football players. Matt just wants back on the field. He'll do anything to play for the NFL again, even pretend to have a steady boyfriend. If only his fake boyfriend wasn’t Noah Huntington III—the most arrogant, entitled rich guy in the world. Pretend to be Matt Jackson’s boyfriend, Noah's best friend said. What Damon neglected to mention is Matt is surly and bitter. Being his boyfriend is a job in itself. From his paranoia over being constantly photographed to his aversion to PDA, being with Matt isn’t the care-free fake relationship Noah expected when he signed on to do this. It’s supposed to be a win-win. Noah gets to stick it to his politician dad who thinks no one is good enough for the Huntington name, and Matt’s reputation of being the bad boy of football dies. What he doesn’t expect is to start caring for the guy. That’s not part of the plan. Then again, neither is fooling around with him.

I loved this story with the two men who were thrust together by Damon but were very attracted to each other and after the initial grumpiness were perfect for each other. I loved their passion and way that they cared for each other against their initial deal. Noah's father was a piece of work but Matt's were not good either. I loved the charity idea. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Pop Star

Pop Star by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What happens when the most successful boy band on the planet breaks up? How about twenty thousand fans screaming Harley's name. But the price of fame comes with an increased risk to his safety. He's been avoiding the dreaded B word for as long as he can, but after a close call with a rambunctious fan, he can’t do it anymore. It’s time to give in. He needs to hire a full-time bodyguard. And when he shows up, he not only screams badass, he’s another B word Harley tries to stay away from: boyfriend material. Protecting people is not what Brix's company usually does, but the boss knows he needs money, and the pop star is offering an insane amount to live with him and make sure no more crazy fans break into his house. He's doing it for the money and nothing else. He may be the prettiest man he's ever seen, and he may feel sorry for the celebrity life he’s been forced into since he was a teenager, but that doesn’t mean anything. Just because he fascinates him, that doesn’t mean he likes him.

I enjoyed this story as Brix went from full on protection to motivational cheerleader which then morphed into something much deeper. I loved the relationship between the two men and the way that the Mike Bravo Ops guys were mixed into the story. Harvey was just adorable and felt very real. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

But Damon’s arrival quickly turns their pretend relationship into something that feels very real.

I loved this story with the fake date which helped Maddox analyse himself and his feelings before realising that he was actually bisexual and that the attraction he felt for Damon was ok. There were a lot of emotions and feelings in this story as Maddox analysed himself and the two men started their relationship. This was an MM story with mature content.

A Little Christmas 3: Danny : MM Holiday Daddy Little Romance

A Little Christmas 3: Danny : MM Holiday Daddy Little Romance by Lynn Michaels
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Daddy hasn't been up for playing with his little, so to get his attention, Danny acts like a brat. Lee promised to take care of his Little, but Danny's poor attitude is leading to a spanking, and not the good kind. He's going to be on Santa's naughty list this year for sure. It's Christmas for this established couple, but neither of them seem to be in the holiday spirit. They might just need a Christmas miracle to stay together.

I'm not sure if I enjoyed this story or not. It was full of angst and I feared that they were going to split for much of the story. Thankfully that was not the case. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Ruined

Ruined by Charity Parkerson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Gable has spent years with the FBI. He’s a liaison between his department and the CIA. It’s a nice gig that allows him a lot of freedom. It’s also a position that’s put him in the company of more than a few shady men. Cutler might not top that list, but he’s definitely the one who has Gable’s attention. Now Gable is ready for a change of scenery. His new location and position with the CIA lands him practically full time in the path of the hottest criminal he’s ever met. It’s a race to see which of them falls first. Cutler didn’t earn his place in the world through hard work and dedication. His wealth was handed to him for being willing to do whatever it took for a not so clean organisation. Luckily, it’s the kind of money that also shields him from the law. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how one looks at things, it’s not keeping him safe from one very delicious CIA agent. He’s in real danger of getting locked down, but not in the way he always expected.

I loved this story of the two men who were very passionate but were on different sides of the law (although their views were not that far apart). When Gable was attacked it was heart breaking but I loved the way that Cutler reacted to it. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

A Little Christmas 3: Jasha

A Little Christmas 3: Jasha by Brina Brady
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When Valentin Kozlov can’t come up with the cash to pay his debt to real estate magnate Kaleb Bronson, Kaleb offers to accept Jasha in lieu of the cash. Jasha is stunned but agrees to the deal in order to save his father’s life. All isn’t as it seems, however. It’s the Christmas season, a season when wishes come true. What Kaleb really wants is a boy to love and care for, and he thinks Jasha could be the boy he’s been longing for. Now, amid the magic of Christmas at Lake Tahoe, Jasha must decide if Kaleb is the Daddy he’s been dreaming of.

This was a sweet Christmas story as Jasha struggled with his love of his father and feelings for Kaleb. I enjoyed the Russian immigrant factor to the story. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.

Zeus

Zeus by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After constantly looking over his shoulder as Callie runs for his life, He's on the brink of giving up on happiness, on love and on life. When a familiar face shows up where he's hiding, he shocks himself by running again. Though, probably not as shocked as Zeus is when he runs him off the road with his car. On the run and nowhere to turn, he flees into the arms of the last person he should. Suddenly, he finds himself involved in one of the worst crime syndicates in Las Vegas, and no way to get out. Zeus wonders why Callie is running away from him. Zeus has been hired to make sure he’s okay and that he’s surviving after escaping an abusive relationship, making mistakes, and putting multiple people’s lives in danger. Callie screwed up, but he doesn’t deserve to die for it. And now, his life is at risk yet again.Technically, Zeus's job is done. Callie is still breathing. That’s all he was supposed to find out. But he can’t sit by knowing he’s selling his soul. His body. Zeus needs to get him out, and he'll go to any lengths to do it.

I loved this dramatic story with Callie running, making matters worse and then having to be brave enough to face up to his past actions. I loved how man-whore Zeus was brought to his knees by Callie even though he saved and set him free first. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Atlas by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Atlas

Atlas by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Working undercover at a strip club is not Atlas's usual kind of job. If it weren’t a great opportunity to show the Mike Bravo team he can run his own op, he wouldn’t have agreed to it. When my boss asks him to befriend the biggest gossip in the establishment, the person who knows everything, he's even more reluctant. Because that happens to be one of the dancers. The only dancer to catch his attention in all the wrong ways. He needs to be professional or he will never prove he's leadership material. Only problem is, the guy with the stage name Lemon makes him want to be anything but professional. Lemon is sick of the new bartender throwing dirty looks his way. He’s as judgmental as he is hot, and let’s just say he’s really judgmental. It confuses him why he’s working there if he looks down on the dancers so much. He could bartend at a regular club. But when he saves Lemon from a drunken customer getting too handsy, his attitude suddenly flips, and they find themselves becoming friends. Underneath the judgment, it turns out Atlas is a total sweetheart. Lemon has never had a relationship before, but something tells him it could be way too easy to fall for the gentle giant.him

This was a great story as Atlas had to ignore some of his consent rules while working while Lemon educated him on some of his prejudices and where he needed to modify them. I loved the lessons on who had the power. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

The Wounded Wolf's Omegas

The Wounded Wolf's Omegas by Lorelei M. Hart
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When Holt's brother challenged him for the position of wolf pack alpha, he wanted to submit and let him have it. Pack politics weren’t for him. But, once a challenge is given, a challenge must be fought. He didn’t make the rules, he just got stuck following them. He did everything he could to avoid hurting his brother but he did not afford him the same. Now he's lame, excommunicated, and, except Kayson, all alone in the world. It’s time for a new start someplace where no one knows my name. The day that Holt came into the bar Keyson worked at, he broke his heart. Homeless, rogue, and broken, he had nothing but the duffle bag in his hand and a wad of cash. He invited him to stay with him, got him a job, and the two of them became besties. But Kayson wanted more, and so did his bear. He wants him to be his mate. Too bad Fate’s a little B like that. At least he has him in his life, and he will do everything to give him the existence he deserves, including moving to the middle of nowhere to start their new life. Vance's life had been planned out for him from before his birth. He was to go to school and get good grades, which would get him into the best universities and eventually lead to becoming a lawyer and joining his romp’s firm. He complied as it’s what good otters do. But when his parents sprang we arranged for you to mate one of the partners thing on him, he refused to comply any longer. Now he's signing up for the Male-Order Mates app and hoping for the best. They might not be the mate he’d pick out for himself, but they were better than the one waiting for him. Only, when he arrives, it’s not one mate after all but two, and one doesn’t seem to notice the connection. They will. He just needs to be patient. Fate doesn’t make mistakes.

This was an enjoyable story with the three men being drawn together by fate from different situations. I felt particularly sorry for Holt and Vance. I found their wealth to buy a new house and things a little hard to believe even with the pay-it-forward scenario. Easy to read and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content and MPREG.

Daddy Santa's Snow Angel

Daddy Santa's Snow Angel by Aria Grace
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Dexter is a delivery guy with hidden Daddy tendencies. Always the fun uncle, helpful neighbour, and all-around boy scout. During November and December, he wears a Santa hat and leaves candy canes with packages to spread cheer, but he doesn’t celebrate the holidays himself. It's just no fun to decorate when you’re all alone. Avery loves his gift shop downtown and all the tourists who come in and admire his sexy stained-glass creations and souvenirs. Unfortunately, tourists are shopping online more and more and using his store for window shopping rather than cash dropping. But that doesn't stop him from creating the kinky crafts he enjoys so much. And when that hot delivery guy stops by with supplies, he gets a little too excited sometimes. He's almost grateful that the speciality Little items he can’t get in his small town require frequent deliveries from Daddy Santa.

This was a sweet story of how Daddy Dexter and little Avery got together and had their HEA. I loved the snow angel situation and how Dexter cared for Avery. The milk-giving felt a little rushed in this book. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic and male lactation.

Rogue

Rogue by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Trav remembers the first time he met Dylan Rodriguez - a sweaty encounter he’ll never forget. The second time they met, he arrested Trav and he can still see the hot scowl on his beautiful face as he slapped handcuffs on him and realised I was him. Dylan’s main goal is to forget he ever met Trav but his goal is to make Dylan his. It turns out, Trav's better at this game than he is. When Dylan's law enforcement career falls to pieces in front of his own eyes, he doesn’t know who he can trust. With nowhere to go and no one to turn to. Asking Trav for help is a last resort, but he's desperate. If he can’t get Dylan out of this mess, he may as well turn himself over to the guys hunting him down. He's not sure which will be more difficult: protecting his life or his heart. Because when it comes to love, his heart wants what his brain doesn’t. It wants Travis West.

I loved this story with the push and pull between the two men as Trav was sure that they would be together and Dylan did his best to resist the pull between them. When their guards were down the passion between them was smoking hot. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Guilliam by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Guilliam

Guilliam by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Guilliam watched his long-term relationship dissolve, and, to a certain extent, he understood it. He knew when the time was right, he would try again. He didn’t expect to see her immediately upon arrival at the hospital though, as he joined Jasper’s investigation team. Janelle walked away from Guilliam to nurse her sick mother. It was supposed to be temporary, but the cancer was deadly, and Janelle now remains in the hospital room, knowing this is her mother’s last days. Finding out Guilliam was here helped, but knowing he was involved in something deadly had her feeling like she was being watched all the time. It takes everyone to get to the bottom of this nightmare, but not before it gets way worse.

This was a great story as the mystery of who was after Mason and cleaning up the people involved was much closer to being solved. I liked the way that Janelle was so feisty and unwilling to be quiet and back down from whoever she was in danger from. Lots of danger, drama, emotions and feelings in this story as the writer describes the story, characters and settings.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Roughed Up

Roughed Up by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Alex's friends say it's gone on long enough. Trying to lick the wounds of my most recent breakup in private isn't making me feel any better, so I begin the daunting task of trying to venture back into the dating pool. But after a series of misses, I wonder if the answer I've been waiting for has been in my wallet all along. Dylan was offered money for his body by the gorgeous, motorcycle-riding, and glasses-wearing millionaire who keeps coming into my bar which isn't the worst thing that's ever happened to him. Being cut off by his father and forced to choose between money and music is. Walking away from a trust fund was hard, but trying to make ends meet is harder. Getting paid to do something I would have done for free feels like the easiest decision he'll ever make. But one night leads to another, and one customer to more, and suddenly, it's not so fun anymore. Alex has offered him more than his money and his body. He's giving Dylan ways to find worth, pleasure, and substance in a life that he thought he'd ruined. Through the pain of their past and the thrill of their present, it's impossible to not fall in love with him. But their secrets run just as deep as each other, and just because they can't stop it, doesn't mean love will ever be enough.

This was a dark and deep story as both men needed each other in their way. I'm not sure it was a healthy relationship but it did seem to work and Alex did appear to be saving Dylan through his care and love. I enjoyed this book as it was easy to feel and understand them. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Iris by Eden Finley 4 of 5 Stars

Iris

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Iris lives for adrenaline, the thrill of the chase and because he works for Mike Bravo, a private black-ops firm, it’s his job to go into dangerous situations. But when they’re called in to extract a military team from a hostile situation, the thrill is so much better because one of those men happens to be the golden boy from his basic training days. Brock “Saint” Harlow was a walking Captain America in the flesh - the perfect soldier. When Saint is recruited by Mike Bravo Ops Iris can't wait to tease him - he is not called Iris “I require intense supervision” for nothing. Military life is all Saint has known since he was born - he was raised to be a soldier. But when a top-secret mission fails, he finds himself suddenly discharged with nowhere to go. Mike Bravo saved his life, and they want him to join them, but there’s one small problem. Isaac “Iris” Griffin. He’s as irresistibly snarky as he always was, only there’s a big difference this time. Saint is no longer closeted or scared to live his truth. And the truth is, he has always wanted him. It’s against Mike Bravo’s rules to fraternise with other team members, and Saint always follows orders. But something tells him that Iris might be worth the insubordination.

I loved this story with the two men who were attracted to each other but now mostly can follow up on it. Iris was suitably snarky and a joy to read plus Saint was a great foil to that behaviour and humour. They really were a match made in heaven. I loved the personal RPG. Easy to read and understand. Review: Wrapped Up In Tinsel by B.L. Maxwell 3 of 5 stars

Wrapped Up In Tinsel

Wrapped Up In Tinsel by B.L. Maxwell
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Steve Reynolds prefers to avoid people, and working as a tech guy at one of the big box electronic stores has guaranteed that. He does the repairs and lets the person at the counter deal with the rest, it’s perfect. Until this year, when the store is downsizing and he’s laid off just before Thanksgiving. Garrett Juhl loves Christmas more than anyone has loved Christmas before him. Or at least he likes to tell himself that, and while he’s making deliveries for his job, he also pretends he’s Santa. But he’d rather not admit that to anyone. Desperate for a job Steve takes the first one he’s offered even if he’s not sure he’ll survive it. Being one of Santa’s elves at the local mall has never been something he’d consider, but he’s desperate. When Garrett goes to the mall to see this year's decorations he immediately notices the grouchy elf who even with a frown looks cute in his elf uniform. Maybe this year he could be the one who turns that frown upside down.

This was a sweet story about two men who appeared to be complete opposites but were more similar than they realised. It was easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: 12 Dates of Christmas by Brigham Vaughn 4 of 5 stars

12 Dates of Christmas

12 Dates of Christmas by Brigham Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Leo Fenner needs a Christmas miracle. Charmed by the small town, and weary of the big city dating scene, Leo moved to Christmas Falls in hopes of finding love like his college friend, Hayden. Nick Morgan had the love of his life and lost her, but is determined to help others find their happily ever after with his matchmaking service. His website needs work though, and Leo is just the man for the job. The web developer signs up for Nick’s matchmaking service to get a feel for what the process is like, all while secretly hoping it’ll bring him the love of his dreams. But as Nick and Leo work together, the sparks between them are impossible to ignore. Too bad there’s a few little problems. For one, Nick’s never fallen for a man before. And, oh yeah those dates he’s planning for Leo? They’re supposed to be with other guys.

I loved this story with Leo's dreadful dates and the chemistry between Leo and Nick. There were a lot of emotions and feelings in this story which didn't always affect both of the men. It was great to read about another secret Santa gift in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: The Friend-Zoned Fox's Omegas by Lorelei M. Hart 3 of 5 stars

The Friend-Zoned Fox's Omegas

The Friend-Zoned Fox's Omegas by Lorelei M. Hart
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Kevin's fox knows exactly what he wants. His fox is frantic with need for a family. But that doesn’t come easy for any latent animal, especially not a fox. We mate in triads and he couldn’t even find one fox, much less two during mating season in his skulk.  The foster system is hard on most kids, but most kids don’t also start turning into a wolf at puberty. If not for a shifterly neighbour seeing the signs and explaining the facts of shifter life to Bond, he doesn’t know what he'd have done. Leander discovered that his brother is still alive after growing up being told he died with his parents is a complete mind puck. I still can't wrap his head around it and I’m only days away from meeting him for the first time since I was a newborn. There are many questions to be asked and answered, but one thing is for sure: his dragon longs for a family. It’s only after he spends time his brother that he discovers what his beast truly longs for, a mate to share his life with - maybe two.

This was a sweet story of how three men found their mates thanks to the male order mates app. I loved their caring relationship and that they supported each other. I did find it odd that someone working in a care home could afford a larger house and so many children. Easy to and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content and MPREG.

Flake It Til You Make It

Flake It Til You Make It by Beth Bolden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When Rocco Moretti gets the chance to buy a coffee shop in a small Illinois town, it feels like a miracle. And in true Christmas Falls tradition, Jolly Java is a holiday-flavoured one. He sets up shop and starts experimenting with recipes. The only problem? His changes go over like a piece of coal on Christmas morning. Instead of serving up cups of holiday cheer, he's getting a solid "bah humbug" vibe from the town. With the town’s city manager retiring, Deputy Mayor Taylor Hall is looking to make a leadership move, but his dream is melting because the city council still sees him as an outsider. He needs to prove he's in Christmas Falls to stay, and what better way than by getting a boyfriend? Even a fake one. Rocco needs the town's acceptance, so why not date the deputy mayor? Faking it till they make it will be a means to an end. That's all. But sharing the holiday season wins over more than the town's hearts. With each date, each mistletoe kiss, and every steamy night in front of the fire, it wins over theirs as well. Come Christmas morning, there's really only one miracle Rocco wants under his tree. For the love they've been faking to become real.

This was a sweet Christmas story as the two men who were fake dating fell in love and also solved their problems too. I liked the way that they were able to use the Christmas events as their dates. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Forgotten Romance

Forgotten Romance by Saxon James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In a list of what’s most important to Davey, three things are right up there at the top. My kids, his husband Mack, and his career he's spent his life building. Unfortunately that career has him away from home more than he'd like, and when he refuses to walk away from it, his husband walks away instead. He should never have let Mack go, and now it might be too late to get him back. Twelve weeks. It’s the longest Davey has been home since they had the kids, and all it does is remind Mack of everything he wishes he still has. So he decide this is it. He has twelve weeks to remind Davey of everything he lost and hope like hell when he gives him the choice between work and him again, that this time he chooses Mack. Now if only our kids, our friends, and his work would get the memo.

This was a great story of two men who loved each other but were not on the same page for priorities. This was full of passion, feelings and emotions. It featured help from the other members of the divorced men's club and was a fitting end to the series. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: A Daddy for Christmas 2: Kiren by Wendy Rathbone 3 of 5 stars

A Daddy for Christmas 2: Kiren

A Daddy for Christmas 2: Kiren by Wendy Rathbone
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

After an accident that leaves deep scars on Kiren’s back and side, not to mention his psyche, Kiren decides not to go back to college and instead goes to work at his parents’ corporation at a job he hates. On top of it all, he’s very sensitive about his body now, and refuses to date. It’s better to be alone, he tells himself. Because he also has a secret no one knows about. He is a little. Kiren lost his dream, lost his perfect body, and hates his job. And now he’s just discovered his parents are going to the Bahamas for Christmas for their anniversary, and he’s not invited. Could it get any worse? To top it off, the dusky, tall and silver-sideburned boss of accounting, Max, bought him one drink at a holiday celebration just before Thanksgiving, and now Max haunts his thoughts. It isn’t only that Max is handsome and popular at the office, or that he exudes charisma and daddy vibes. It’s also that the drink was exactly Kiren’s favourite right down to the cherry on top. How did Max know? Is it Max who is leaving sweet little gifts on Kiren’s desk when he isn’t looking? One candy cane, a tiny toy truck, and a gumball machine whistle to name a few. A burn starts inside him that he hasn’t felt in a long time. His body wants Max. But will his mind follow? And what if Max is disgusted when he discovers Kiren’s flaws and secrets?

This was a sweet story with a sweet little who was damaged due to an accident and a caring Daddy who was able to look past the scars. I loved the little presents on Kirem's desk that Max left for him. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Yvonne: A Hathaway House Heartwarming Romance

Yvonne: A Hathaway House Heartwarming Romance by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Yvonne made a mistake leaving Hathaway House and walking away from Dennis. Hugely comforting and caring man that he was, she had been so determined to move forward and to be someone independent that she couldn’t see what he had to offer. Until it was too late. Dennis could only love and let her go years ago. Now she’s returned to Hathaway House - injured again, broken inside, emotionally devastated, and worn out from the hard fight she has endured over the last five years. And Dennis is forced to the sidelines, watching as the woman he loves once again struggles to work toward her new more-broken reality. If only she could see this as a second chance for both of them.

I loved this story which focused on Yvonne and her recovery from the accident that brought her back to Hathaway House and the sage advice she received from the staff. I also loved that Dennis finally got the HEA that he deserved. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Quirky Vet

The Quirky Vet by Casey Cox
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Fitz and Muir have done some wild things, but waking up as newlyweds? Total disaster. It threatens to expose the one secret he's kept buried for years, the only secret he's ever kept from his best friend that despite them both being straight, he thinks he's in love with him. When his Gramps needs him to stay married to lock in his inheritance, he's terrified my feelings for Fitz could destroy everything they have. To the world, Fitz is the glitter-bearded, onesie-loving quirky vet. Sure, that's part of who he is, but it’s not the whole picture. Only one person truly knows him - Muir. When he tells Fitz he needs them to stay married so he can keep his grandfather's house, it’s a no-brainer. Of course he'll help him out. The real question is: why does staying married to his best friend feel so right?

This was an enjoyable story of the two men who were best friends and married while drunk but were able to explore the love between them to see if it was more than just friendship. I loved Gramps who was such a character. This was a heart warming story story which made me smile. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

The Map Home

The Map Home by Elle Keaton
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Ask Dakota and he’ll say the wall around his heart is high and the moat deep for a reason. Love is a lie. If Tad knows one single truth, it’s that Dakota is his personal North Star. Dakota, the boy Tad bonded with at fourteen, has grown into Dakota, the man he loves. The second, more frustrating truth, is that Dakota is one of the most stubborn people on the planet. Dakota craves a simple existence. Work. Sleep. Eat. Hang out with his best friend. Keep things platonic. No one knows him better than Tad. The holidays have arrived, and it’s supposed to be a time of celebration, but some blackhearted person steals the donations to the town toy box. Dakota finds himself working the case of the purloined toys, while Tad fills in at the town newspaper. It’s inevitable their paths will cross. Tad is fine with crossing paths and more. Is it going too far adding Dakota Green to the top of his Christmas wish list? And what will it take for Dakota to realise that he deserves happiness? That Tad, the person who knows him best, is the one for him?

This was a sweet story but I did find it quite hard going in the mid and so wonder if it could have been told in a shorter format. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Keller's son Molly has moved to Seattle and left his best friend Will living with his Dad. Will is cooking for Keller every night, and they’re working out together every morning. It’s all feeling very domestic and Will's heart can’t separate reality from the fantasies in his head.

I enjoyed this story of the two men who had a common bond via Keller's son Molly. Keller was determined to resist Will while Will tried to love Keller from afar. A lot of angst but it was inevitable that they would be together. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

The Snuggle is Real

The Snuggle is Real by D.J. Jamison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When Ford's ex-wife lands in rehab, he gets a surprise for the holidays. A 7-year-old girl who's got no place to go. He loves his former stepdaughter Charlie like she's his own, but he has no idea how to give her everything she needs. Unless he finally lets go of his pride and accept help from the new director of the Holiday Hope Foundation. Mason West is eager to lend support however he can. And when Ford lets him, he goes above and beyond. He'd never been into men before, but Mason is so sweet, so giving, so perfectly sized to snuggle in against his holiday sweater. Maybe if he can figure out what all this means, he can gain more than a daughter for the holidays.

This was a sweet Christmas story of how Ford found love and gained a family too. I did think the change to being with a man wasn't covered much as was the decision to leave Charlie with Ford by his ex wife. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

The Marriage Negotiation by Aja Foxx
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Patrick had gone into medicine to be a doctor, not a hospital administrator. After watching his frat brothers fight so hard for the lives they wanted, he decided he could do no less. So, after a quick trip home to attend his estranged brother's wedding, he was going to head off to New York City and a new life. Discovering that my brother's fiancé was none other than his high school crush Zaq was a bit heart-wrenching, but it also changed things, especially when his bonehead brother got cold feet and took off right before the wedding was to start. Wonder how Zaq would feel if Patrick stepped up and took his brother's place?

I loved this story with the two men who were reunited in a sudden wedding and how they soon became a united force against Patrick's crazy brother and both of their parents. Both men had a complex situation to work through but their open communication between them helped. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: A Little Christmas 3: Tommy by Joe Satoria 3 of 5 stars

A Little Christmas 3: Tommy

A Little Christmas 3: Tommy by Joe Satoria
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Tommy is stuck. Creatively burned out and desperate to meet a looming deadline for his popular comic series, his agent ships him off to the last place he’d expect—a secluded Montana ranch with no Wi-Fi, no distractions, and no way out until Christmas. Tommy hopes the solitude will reignite his spark, but he didn’t count on Hardin, the gruff and stoic cowboy running Lone Pine Ranch, to be as distracting as he is irresistible. Hardin never asked to play host to a city boy who can barely handle the snow, let alone ranch life. But there’s something about Tommy - his quick wit, his vulnerability, and the way he doesn’t mind the quiet - that draws Hardin in. As the two navigate snowy rescues, spilled hot cocoa, and a shared love for the ranch’s quirky animals, sparks begin to fly in ways neither expected. With Christmas approaching, Tommy must decide if the life and love he’s finding with Hardin is worth taking a leap of faith. And Hardin has to figure out if he’s finally ready to open his heart and take a chance on the one thing he’s been avoiding for years.

This was a sweet story as little Tommy struggled to cope with life on the ranch but got more used to it as time passed by with the help of Hardin. I liked that it brought out the Daddy in Hardin which softened him from the abrupt end terse cowboy he started as. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Employing Patience

Employing Patience by Saxon James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When it comes to regrets, Art had none. His life is perfect. He owns a bar, works hard, parties harder, and smothers his niblings in all the love they deserve. He doesn't need to settle down, as much as his sister might want him to. But then Joey Manning walks into his office and leaves him all but begging to give him a job and wanting to give him so much more. The self-professed straight man is in Art's head and while he knows that he needs to move on from him, his body isn't getting that message. It doesn't help that Joey is a grade A flirt who can banter with the best of them. The bills keep piling up and the pressure to get his sisters through college before they're evicted is always on the back of Joey's mind. Whoever said life was for living, clearly forgot that living’s expensive. His default mode is stressed AF and working myself to the bone, and there’s only one person who gives him a break from all that. His boss Art de Almeida. Joey needs this job. But some days he worries that he needs Art more.

I loved this story with Art and Joey torturing themselves needlessly as they really were perfect together. I loved Art's hidden identity that he used to help people and that Joey had worked it out. I enjoyed the banter between them both and that their thoughts and feelings were very transparent. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

The Cowboy and the Hacker

The Cowboy and the Hacker by Jackie North
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Cal made a coding mistake that got him arrested and far away from Preston, his horrible boyfriend. After over a year in jail, he’s touch-starved and afraid. Not of doing his parole in the wilds of Wyoming, but that Preston will come and force him back to Denver. In the valley, when Cal is assigned to Zeke Malloy’s team, his luck starts to change because Zeke is patient and kind, both with the horses and with Cal. Cal doesn’t trust anyone now, except Cal’s crush on Zeke starts with a single word of kindness. A warm touch. And the smile in those green eyes. After a horse fell on him, Zeke’s bronc riding days are over. His girlfriend wants a buckle-wearing man, not a broken one, and leaves him. Zeke finds he doesn’t care that he’s alone now. But he can’t stop thinking about the time Galen Parnell asked him out, as if there was something Galen saw in Zeke. Was he gay? When Zeke starts to work with Cal Tamalin, the only parolee on his team, he begins to think maybe Galen had been on to something. Getting close to Cal can only spell disaster, and surely Zeke’s had enough of those, right? He shouldn’t take the risk, but doesn’t think his heart can resist the biggest blue eyes Zeke has ever seen.

I enjoyed this story with the abused Cal who did what he needed to escape Preston and Zeke who recognised the signs of abuse and fear in Cal and so treated him with care and kindness. I loved that working together led to care, affection and then love. I loved the story end. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Ford never thought much about Orson Naples. He’s a cute guy who I’d seen around town a few times, but then one day he up and left and didn’t reappear until a few years later. No one knows where he went or what he was doing, all this gossipy town knows is that he’s a widower, owns the florist, and is friends with that divorced group that hang out at the Killer Brew all the time. But then one day Ford steps into his flower shop and go from rarely thinking about him, to him constantly being on his mind. When Ford walks into Orson's shop all uncontained energy and flirty quips in a pair of heavy work boots, he knows he should show him the door. Orson doesn't need fun or experiences. Especially when those experiences have him questioning things he thought he knew about himself.

Review: The Cowboy and the Dealer by Jackie North 4 of 5 stars

The Cowboy and the Dealer

The Cowboy and the Dealer by Jackie North
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Galen Parnell is the type of guy who would stop at a four way intersection, even at midnight with nobody around. Obadiah "Bede" Deacon is a drug dealer who was sentenced to five years in prison. Newly released with a broken heart that simply won’t heal, Bede is now a free man. But now he needs to decide whether to return to his old life, wheeling and dealing drugs. His other option is to remain in the Fresh Start parole program, digging up knapweed and sleeping in a tent each night, all while doing his best to figure out what the hell his team lead’s problem is. His team lead is Galen. He’s got eyes full of disdain, a mouth full of truth, and he does not like ex-cons at all. Doesn't like that they're getting a free ride in the valley, when he’s been working hard for years and is still broke. Galen thinks his biggest problem is keeping his job in the valley long enough to pay off medical bills after his dad died last spring. That, and getting new tires for his truck. What Galen’s actual problem which is so hard for him to admit, is that even with his preconceived notions about the kind of men he’s in charge of (criminals, all) he’s unable to remain blind to the fact that they're people, too. Especially Bede. Who, in spite of the fact that he’s a freaking drug dealer, is smart and funny and the kind of dark and handsome that is Galen’s favourite kind of eye candy. The summer is turning into a disaster. A deliciously confusing whirlwind of discovery disaster.

I enjoyed this story as another cowboy team lead discovered that the ex-cons are people and worthy of love and affection. I loved the analysis of their thoughts, behaviours and emotions as their relationship developed. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Priest

Priest by Kiki Clark by E.M. Lindsey

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Feeding on the pleasure of other creatures might sound like the perfect life, but Priest knows the truth. The bottomless hunger and the never-ending need for more will eventually drive him to the brink of madness. It’s the fate of all Incubi. But until then, he’s determined to spend as much time as possible checking on the human bookstore owner who turns Priest into a tongue-tied mess. Oliver doesn't seem to mind, treating him with a kindness he’s never experienced from anyone outside his Trident Agency family. Fumbling flirtations is all it can ever be though. The risk of draining Oliver is too great, and Priest refuses to put him at risk. But then the bookstore goes up in flames, and Priest learns he'll do just about anything to keep Oliver safe. Protecting the reckless human he has been obsessed with for months may be the only truly good thing he does with his life. But the longer they're together, the more difficult it is to resist his demon’s cravings, and the more secrets they uncover. About Oliver and supernaturals like Priest and his friends. As the Alpha Team investigates and attacks keep coming - forming a terrifyingly familiar picture - Priest and Oliver have to learn to trust each other and themselves.

I loved this story with the two men who were not what they appeared, and the way one of them tortured himself needlessly. Oliver was such a loveable character which indicated to who he was and Priest was tortured but also very protective of Oliver. All the characters felt real and I was swept away by the plot and drama. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Milk For His Little: M/M Ageplay Romance

Milk For His Little: M/M Ageplay Romance by Harper Dunbar
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Kasper loves exploring his new found Little side. He enjoys the clothes, the toys, the sexy Daddies who want to play with him at the club. It’s all great with one exception - he wants a bottle but is allergic to cow’s milk. He’s tried alternatives, and they are fine for his coffee, but in his bottle they just don’t cut it. When he hears about men who lactate and sell their milk, Kasper wonders if he finally found the solution he’s been waiting for. Shawn has been watching Kasper play at the club for weeks. He yearns to ask him to do a scene or go on a date, but Shawn has a secret: He lactates. No boy is going to want a Daddy like that. They want strong, confident, sexy men, not ones who leak milk during naked times. He should know as he’s been rejected every time he’s been brave enough to share his secret. It’s best to keep his distance - that way no one will get hurt. When Shawn gets a new customer for his milk, he’s surprised to see Kasper at his door. Maybe he can be the Daddy Kasper needs after all.

This was a sweet story of little Kasper who found a source of compatible milk and a Daddy all in one. I loved the way that there was a focus on consent and going slow before they settled down to a comfortable relationship with each other. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

We all have choices to make and consequences to suffer. Two decades ago, Gordy chose Shannon. But Shannon didn’t choose him. He chose his family instead. And when he broke Gordy's heart, his consequence was an addiction to food.  He swore to himself he would never make the same mistake twice, until he met Aries. He fell hard for his best friend. Unfortunately, so had Shannon.Shannon chose to have a family, over the love of one man. Their warmth and acceptance were commodities he yearned for his entire life. But nothing comes without cost, and the price he paid to become a Carrick was too high. He lost his best friend, the only man he'd ever loved, and was convinced he'd never have it again - until Aries. Aries's bromance with Gordy had quickly bloomed into a full-fledged romance, while his crush on Shannon had ignited from a spark into a raging inferno. He was in love with two men at the same time.
