Review: Money Shot by Eden Finley by Saxon James 4 of 5 stars

Money Shot

Money Shot by Eden Finley by Saxon James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Finn follows his sister to Edmonton for a fresh start, hoping to escape his workaholic rut and maybe find a real relationship. But his heart—and fantasies—are already tangled up in Gunner, a charismatic cam boy he’s been quietly obsessed with online. Things get complicated when Finn meets Curtis, the charming but emotionally unavailable best man at his sister’s wedding. There’s something uncannily familiar about him… and when Finn finally connects the dots, he realizes Curtis and Gunner might be the same person. Caught between fantasy and reality, Finn tries to walk away—but feelings don’t unsubscribe so easily. Now he must navigate the messy overlap of desire, identity, and the terrifying possibility that his dream guy might be closer—and more complicated—than he ever imagined.

I loved this story with the two men who were drawn to each other made more complex when Finn realised what Curtis has been doing as a side job. I liked how the story explored how fantasy can be comforting, but reality—though riskier—offers the potential for genuine emotional depth. I also liked how the story explored how emotional liberation comes not from perfection, but from being accepted in our most exposed, complicated states. I loved how the friends and family worked together to make them realise the truth of the relationship between them. A story full of emotions and feelings. This was an MM story with mature content.

Final Play

Final Play by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Before their futures become the present, Noah convinces his friends they need a group vacation—a final play before they’re all tied down by responsibility and unyielding schedules. Everything is changing. Marriage.Kids. Careers. A trip to Fiji is the last hurrah to end all hurrahs. And from disastrous marriage proposals to grand gestures to life-changing confessions, two weeks on a private island becomes the beginning of the rest of their lives.

I loved this story with the various couples have their own HEA in a way that makes sense for them. It was great to have closure for them all. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Hat Trick by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Hat Trick

Hat Trick by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Going on a Fiji vacation with four other couples. Especially when recently single is not fun. What’s even worse is when a past hook-up arrives unannounced. Not only do we have a history, but he’s ten years younger and a famous rock star. Most importantly, he’s my friend’s little brother. Being trapped on an island with Jet Jackson is going to be sweet torture because all Soren wants is another chance. He just doesn't think he’s going to give it to him. For Jet what’s not fun is escaping one guy who broke his heart only to run into another. Being on the road for three years has left him exhausted. The last thing he wants is for Caleb ‘Soren’ Sorensen to try for round two. He can’t fight his draw to him. He's never been able to. He's suddenly back to being the naïve kid who stupidly lusted after a hockey player. All he can think is if he lets Soren get close, he'll walk away from this vacation with a double broken heart.

I loved this story with the two men who hooked up years ago and couldn't forget each other. I loved the mixture of emotions and feelings in this story and that they were not just from the two main characters. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Encore by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Encore

Encore by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Never make a bet with Jordan Brooks. That’s how Blake ended up doing a movie that risks his entire acting career. Taking on a gay role when he's straight is problematic in its own right, but when production gets put on hold, and a fabricated story breaks out in the media, Jordan and Blake have to go into hiding. Their livelihoods are put on the line all because of an ill-timed photo and Jordan’s bitter ex-boyfriend. Scandals, lies, and PR nightmares. Welcome to Hollywood. Why is Jordan always drawn to the straight ones? You’d think he'd learn his lesson, but when their movie is delayed, he repeats old patterns. His plan to bury his hurt and anger toward his ex by “method acting” with Blake Monroe is foolish. But Blake is as irresistible as he is good-looking, and he settles into his role easier than Jordan thought he would. In fact, he likes it a little too much. There are too many PR problems hooking up with Blake for real would bring, especially when the media thinks he’s the reason Jordan's relationship fell apart. Yet, he can’t walk away from him, and it seems, he can’t walk away from Jordan either.

I loved this story of Blake and Jordan and how they came together. I was sad that the series has now ended though even if it was nice to have them all come out mostly together. Easy to read, feel and understand there were a lot of emotions in this story. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Fandom by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Fandom

Fandom by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Everyone remembers the night the boy band Eleven broke up. Hearts shattered around the world, including my own. Denver made a mistake, and he's been avoiding bandmate Mason Nash ever since. At first it was hard, but eighteen months ago, he made it easier by leaving Hollywood and disappearing. When Eleven reunion talks start, he's against it completely. He could really do with the publicity, but he doesn't want to face Mason again. Mason doesn't miss LA or anyone in it. Not even the guys from Eleven. So, when they turn up on his doorstep talking about reunions, the last thing he wants to do is hear them out. He holds strong too. Until his eyes land on Denver Smith. His ex-best friend. Two and a half years ago, he ghosted him, and he still doesn't know why.

I loved this story of the two best friends who became much more when they finally talked. There were a lot of emotions and feelings in this story. I loved the way that they supported each other and the way that the group supported them too. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Blindsided by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Blindsided

Blindsided by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When Talon left to play pro ball six years ago, the hole in Miller's chest confused him. He focused his heartache into making his own NFL dreams come true, and by the time he was drafted, the longing he had for his best friend was buried deep. The torch he had for him burns brighter after so long apart, and there's nothing he can do about it. Marcus Talon is straight. He need to stay away from him. Years ago, Miller and Talon made a pact that they'd win a Super Bowl together. When he's offered a position on Miller's team in Chicago, he doesn't hesitate. Only, now that he's there, Miller is avoiding him every chance he gets. If he was anyone else, he'd cut my losses. But this is Shane Miller - the guy who makes everything better just by existing in his universe. The guy he'd do anything for. The guy who's more to me than a brother, a friend, or even a teammate. He's not going to let him get away.

I loved this story of the two teammates who loved each other and the pressure to hide their relationship. I think fake boyfriend was odd as the name for the series as hidden would have been better. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Spotlight by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Spotlight

Spotlight by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When Ryder quit the biggest boy band on the planet, he was supposed to get his life back. It was something that he did for his daughter to stop her picture being splashed all over the tabloids. He thought he could parent alone but finds help in the form of a gorgeous guy who is her nanny. If only he wasn’t so tempting. Working as a nanny is the backup to Lyric's backup plan. His first plan is fame, but something always holds him back. After becoming Ryder Kennedy's nanny for his daughter Lyric assumed it would be a short term thing. But then Ryder finds out he can sing. He wasn’t ready to give up music, and now he’s found a new way to have it: through Lyric. He wants to produce his demo and make him a star. He says Lyric was born to be in the spotlight, but he s he was born to run from it. It doesn’t help that each day he's with him and his daughter, the deeper he falls into fantasies of being part of their family. And not just as the nanny.

I loved this story with the two men who are bonded over their love of Ryder's daughter as well as their love of music. I loved their relationship although it was sad that Ryder stayed in the closet. There were a lot of emotions and feelings in this story. I mostly loved the way the story ended. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Deke by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Deke

Deke by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ollie's family believe he can’t be happy if he's not out to the world. He has a bitter ex-boyfriend and an unstable NHL career to show for it. A fake boyfriend seems like an easy and quick solution to get my family off my back, and this guy is volunteering. He takes him up on it without asking his name. Lennon doesn’t recognize Ollie Strömberg right away. He covers football, not hockey. They are not supposed to see each other again he’s never supposed to find out Lennon's a reporter. That all changes when his editor reassigns him. Nothing’s changed since high school. Jocks still hate nerds. But even worse, athletes hate journalists. Especially ones who know their secret.

I enjoyed this story as Ollie struggled with hiding his sexuality and the impact of revealing it plus his attraction to Lennon who was "the enemy". I loved Ollie's family and their reactions when Lennon pointed out a few home truths to them. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Trick Play by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Trick Play

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Matt was photographed in a compromising position in a gay bar and his football career tanked. His agent says he can fix his image. He wants him to become the poster boy for gay football players. Matt just wants back on the field. He'll do anything to play for the NFL again, even pretend to have a steady boyfriend. If only his fake boyfriend wasn’t Noah Huntington III—the most arrogant, entitled rich guy in the world. Pretend to be Matt Jackson’s boyfriend, Noah's best friend said. What Damon neglected to mention is Matt is surly and bitter. Being his boyfriend is a job in itself. From his paranoia over being constantly photographed to his aversion to PDA, being with Matt isn’t the care-free fake relationship Noah expected when he signed on to do this. It’s supposed to be a win-win. Noah gets to stick it to his politician dad who thinks no one is good enough for the Huntington name, and Matt’s reputation of being the bad boy of football dies. What he doesn’t expect is to start caring for the guy. That’s not part of the plan. Then again, neither is fooling around with him.

I loved this story with the two men who were thrust together by Damon but were very attracted to each other and after the initial grumpiness were perfect for each other. I loved their passion and way that they cared for each other against their initial deal. Noah's father was a piece of work but Matt's were not good either. I loved the charity idea. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Pop Star by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Pop Star

Pop Star by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What happens when the most successful boy band on the planet breaks up? How about twenty thousand fans screaming Harley's name. But the price of fame comes with an increased risk to his safety. He's been avoiding the dreaded B word for as long as he can, but after a close call with a rambunctious fan, he can’t do it anymore. It’s time to give in. He needs to hire a full-time bodyguard. And when he shows up, he not only screams badass, he’s another B word Harley tries to stay away from: boyfriend material. Protecting people is not what Brix's company usually does, but the boss knows he needs money, and the pop star is offering an insane amount to live with him and make sure no more crazy fans break into his house. He's doing it for the money and nothing else. He may be the prettiest man he's ever seen, and he may feel sorry for the celebrity life he’s been forced into since he was a teenager, but that doesn’t mean anything. Just because he fascinates him, that doesn’t mean he likes him.

I enjoyed this story as Brix went from full on protection to motivational cheerleader which then morphed into something much deeper. I loved the relationship between the two men and the way that the Mike Bravo Ops guys were mixed into the story. Harvey was just adorable and felt very real. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Fake Out

Fake Out by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Five years ago, Maddox told his girlfriend he was gay to get out of marriage and now that he’s been unexpectedly invited to her wedding, he finds himself scrambling to find a fake boyfriend to bring as a date. But Damon’s arrival quickly turns their pretend relationship into something that feels very real.

I loved this story with the fake date which helped Maddox analyse himself and his feelings before realising that he was actually bisexual and that the attraction he felt for Damon was ok. There were a lot of emotions and feelings in this story as Maddox analysed himself and the two men started their relationship. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Zeus by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Zeus

Zeus by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After constantly looking over his shoulder as Callie runs for his life, He's on the brink of giving up on happiness, on love and on life. When a familiar face shows up where he's hiding, he shocks himself by running again. Though, probably not as shocked as Zeus is when he runs him off the road with his car. On the run and nowhere to turn, he flees into the arms of the last person he should. Suddenly, he finds himself involved in one of the worst crime syndicates in Las Vegas, and no way to get out. Zeus wonders why Callie is running away from him. Zeus has been hired to make sure he’s okay and that he’s surviving after escaping an abusive relationship, making mistakes, and putting multiple people’s lives in danger. Callie screwed up, but he doesn’t deserve to die for it. And now, his life is at risk yet again.Technically, Zeus's job is done. Callie is still breathing. That’s all he was supposed to find out. But he can’t sit by knowing he’s selling his soul. His body. Zeus needs to get him out, and he'll go to any lengths to do it.

I loved this dramatic story with Callie running, making matters worse and then having to be brave enough to face up to his past actions. I loved how man-whore Zeus was brought to his knees by Callie even though he saved and set him free first. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Atlas by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Atlas

Atlas by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Working undercover at a strip club is not Atlas's usual kind of job. If it weren’t a great opportunity to show the Mike Bravo team he can run his own op, he wouldn’t have agreed to it. When my boss asks him to befriend the biggest gossip in the establishment, the person who knows everything, he's even more reluctant. Because that happens to be one of the dancers. The only dancer to catch his attention in all the wrong ways. He needs to be professional or he will never prove he's leadership material. Only problem is, the guy with the stage name Lemon makes him want to be anything but professional. Lemon is sick of the new bartender throwing dirty looks his way. He’s as judgmental as he is hot, and let’s just say he’s really judgmental. It confuses him why he’s working there if he looks down on the dancers so much. He could bartend at a regular club. But when he saves Lemon from a drunken customer getting too handsy, his attitude suddenly flips, and they find themselves becoming friends. Underneath the judgment, it turns out Atlas is a total sweetheart. Lemon has never had a relationship before, but something tells him it could be way too easy to fall for the gentle giant.him

This was a great story as Atlas had to ignore some of his consent rules while working while Lemon educated him on some of his prejudices and where he needed to modify them. I loved the lessons on who had the power. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Rogue by Eden Finley 4 of 5 stars

Rogue

Rogue by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Trav remembers the first time he met Dylan Rodriguez - a sweaty encounter he’ll never forget. The second time they met, he arrested Trav and he can still see the hot scowl on his beautiful face as he slapped handcuffs on him and realised I was him. Dylan’s main goal is to forget he ever met Trav but his goal is to make Dylan his. It turns out, Trav's better at this game than he is. When Dylan's law enforcement career falls to pieces in front of his own eyes, he doesn’t know who he can trust. With nowhere to go and no one to turn to. Asking Trav for help is a last resort, but he's desperate. If he can’t get Dylan out of this mess, he may as well turn himself over to the guys hunting him down. He's not sure which will be more difficult: protecting his life or his heart. Because when it comes to love, his heart wants what his brain doesn’t. It wants Travis West.

I loved this story with the push and pull between the two men as Trav was sure that they would be together and Dylan did his best to resist the pull between them. When their guards were down the passion between them was smoking hot. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Iris by Eden Finley 4 of 5 Stars

Iris

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Iris lives for adrenaline, the thrill of the chase and because he works for Mike Bravo, a private black-ops firm, it’s his job to go into dangerous situations. But when they’re called in to extract a military team from a hostile situation, the thrill is so much better because one of those men happens to be the golden boy from his basic training days. Brock “Saint” Harlow was a walking Captain America in the flesh - the perfect soldier. When Saint is recruited by Mike Bravo Ops Iris can't wait to tease him - he is not called Iris “I require intense supervision” for nothing. Military life is all Saint has known since he was born - he was raised to be a soldier. But when a top-secret mission fails, he finds himself suddenly discharged with nowhere to go. Mike Bravo saved his life, and they want him to join them, but there’s one small problem. Isaac “Iris” Griffin. He’s as irresistibly snarky as he always was, only there’s a big difference this time. Saint is no longer closeted or scared to live his truth. And the truth is, he has always wanted him. It’s against Mike Bravo’s rules to fraternise with other team members, and Saint always follows orders. But something tells him that Iris might be worth the insubordination.

I loved this story with the two men who were attracted to each other but now mostly can follow up on it. Iris was suitably snarky and a joy to read plus Saint was a great foil to that behaviour and humour. They really were a match made in heaven. I loved the personal RPG. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
