Review: Tamed by Tana Stone 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
LA socialite and social media influencer Mandy is not impressed to find herself abducted from Earth and on a space station designed to arrange for human women to be the mates of Drexian warriors. She is not going to fall for their holographic fantasy suites, the promise of a dream wedding or their gorgeous warriors - especially not the arrogant hot-shot commander she has been matched with. He might be used to being in command and being obeyed, but she is determined not to follow his orders. Dorn is a commander - the last thing he wants is a mate. His job is to defend his people from their menacing enemy and so has no use for a frail human woman - especially one who is a spoiled as she is. So he complies so that he can go back and carry on with his job.
I enjoyed this story and the way that Mandy was - which was the way I've always imagined spoilt entitled girls are from LA. I loved the way that they pushed each other's buttons and yet also staunchly defended each other. It was great to see that Mandy found things that she was good at and so found a purpose in life. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Wanna Buy a Howl by Milly Taiden 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Archaeologist Skylar Grace is frustrated with her career - at the moment she is unknown in her field and so desperately needs a big discovery to make her name. So Skylar believes that she can use Gerri Wilder to go to another planet under the guise of meeting a male match before ditching him to work on whatever she can find. It should be easy as the is no way that Gerri can find a perfect man for her. Tamor is the Chief of the Seven Tribes and needs to find his mate as part of his plan to save his people from a slow death. So he contacts Gerri for help but when Skylar arrives she tells him she is there just to dig for old things which leaves him very confused and disillusioned. However, then Skylar finds some ancient drawings in a cave she knows it is something important but is struggling to decode the alien culture that she is completely unfamiliar with. For Skylar the stakes are high - if she doesn't decode the drawings the people who have accepted her will die as will the man that she has grown to love!
I really enjoyed this story which had a strong and sassy woman, an egotistical man and a mystery that needs be to solve in some way. Both Tamor and Skylar were irritating in their own way - but the common elements were that they did not communicate with each other, they were impulsive and they were actually quite selfish at times. I loved the solution to the problem and the fact that Skylar's archaeology and intelligence solved the problem - a great solution. Well written, easy to read and understand plus feel and empathise with them. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Throw in the Growl by Milly Taiden 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Comedian Anna Sullivan’s career was doing great until she told one bad joke followed by the death of one world leader and then she is suddenly out of favour and playing shady Vegas bars with junkies shooting up in her closet-sized dressing room. She really needs a completely different galaxy to reboot her career. So when Gerri Wilder promises to find her love on a new planet she decides that she's not so into the possibility of love but the chance of a whole new audience is too good to miss and so she signs up. King Rath is used to people doing exactly what he says so when he meets sarcastic Anna he's completely clueless on how to handle her. She's his mate and he needs her to fall in love with him, but he doesn't understand half of what she says, but she is most definitely a spitfire and her curves and smile are making him question everything that he thought he knew about women. He wants her and will do anything in order to keep her. However, there are forces that don't want the king and his new mate to be together and so Anna and Rath are going to have to fight some unexpected enemies while they try and figure out if they have a future together. Rath does not understand her humour but he does know that she wants him and he can't bear the thought of losing her. Can Rath protect her and get her to realize a relationship between them won’t mean the end of her goals?
I really enjoyed this story which had the rather spoilt Rath realising that the Sassy Anna was going to need some persuasion in order to agree to stay with him. It was great to see the way that they worked together in order to achieve what they needed as well as what was right. The forces against them being together really had no chance against such a formidable pair.I was thrilled when they both realised that they really did need each other and that life apart really wasn't something to accept. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: The Alien's Ransom by Ella Maven 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Frankie is abducted from Earth and finds herself on a strange planet with green soil being guarded by a gang of muscled aliens with wicked horns who drive on hoverbikes just like the motorcycle clubs from home. All she can think about is going home but the alpha male in charge of them has decided that I belong to him and so she is now on the back of his bike speeding to an unknown destination while freaking out about how much she likes his biceps and scowl. Daz is doing a job that ought to be really easy - they just have to deliver the spaceship full of living cargo to the Uldani and they will then release his brother. However, the cargo is something he has never seen before - human females. The one called Franki is beautiful and he has already spilt blood to protect her - so how is he going to rescue his brother when she is actually his and he can't hand her over?
I enjoyed this first book in the series. It contained alien abduction, prisoners, a group of underdogs who are determined to be honourable and treat women with the respect that they deserve and ancient lore. I loved the attempts by both Frankie and Daz to understand each other and the place they found an ability to understand each other. A nice story with a good level of danger and drama between the various alien races and some good differentiation between good and bad. Frankie was a sassy woman who was determined to protect those who she considered her family just as Daz was a typical alpha male who would do anything he could and even beyond that in order to protect those who were part of his wider responsibility as well as those who he loved. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

It’s the perfect holiday combo for fun-loving mermaid, Zarya, so when a semi-conscious Adonis almost drowns, she can’t resist saving him. Finding the rare merman would be quite a catch—if only Zarya hadn’t vowed to never get reeled in by one of her kind.

Review: The Mountain King by Emma Alisyn 2 of 5 stars
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
Kailigh was raising three half-fae girls on her own in the Outlands and it wasn't easy to keep them out of the local taverns while teaching them how to hunt shoot and kill - especially as there were flesh traffickers from the Cities prowling town for girls to send to rich patrons. With her youngest shot and fighting for her life, she has no choice but to petition for help from the Dragon Lord Maddugh for help. However, the dragon is no fool and knows immediately that Kai is not quite human and with three daughters of courting age he will not let them slip through his hands. o he strikes a bargain with her - he'll save her daughter's life, help hunt the man responsible but in return his price is in flesh and you cannot go back on an agreement with a Dragon Lord.
Part of me loved this story with the involvement of the dragons, the flesh traffickers and the special skills that Kai and her daughters have, but part of me really hated this book. She was just far too aggressive, argumentative and independent - it was just over the top. Although I stuck with it to finish this book I cannot bring myself to read the next book as I worry that it will be of a similar style. Contains just a little sexual content.

Review: Black of Wing by J.C. Andrijeski by J.C. Andrijeski
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Now that Black's identity is no longer secret he is both feared and admired by the various defence contractors and military groups around the world. His own government is breathing down his neck and the seers want him dead for exposing their race to the humans. We can't forget Miri's uncle Charles' seers who all want the vampires dead and humans their slaves. Miri is not thrilled at being given this utter mess and throwing her in front of the media, assassins and in the sights of her Uncle Charle' organisation. Not everyone on the human side of the equation is happy at losing their status as the dominant species and will anything to stop that happening - including wiping out everything living on Earth!
Buckle up - there is a lot happening in this book which was well worth the wait from the previous one in the series. Black was his usual protective alpha male self with a touch of recklessness mixed in, Miri did everything to deal with negotiation between the groups and find a way forward while also coping with Black and his occasional off-plan actions that she sometimes had to rescue him from, while in the middle of all that they still have their wedding outstanding. Charles also proved once again that he deserves the Lucky moniker and both he and his group create some aggravation for both Miri and Black. I loved the conversations with Jem, Nick and the events that happened at the Sunday lunch which was pretty funny and a good insight into more of Nick's personality and their relationship. As for what happened with Dex, wow I'd hate to be the person to make him really angry (even if I think his actions were over the top and completely unnecessary). I sure hope the new character we meet in this story has a role to play in the next book (and maybe be on the right side this time). Well written as always, easy to read and understand and very easy to feel and empathise with the thoughts and emotions of the characters (even if I might not always agree with them). So much happens at times that I recommend going back and re-reading some of it to make sure that you really understood. You need to have read the previous books in the series in order to understand how they got to where they are today. Highly recommended.

Review: Protective by K.E. Osborn 5 of 5 stars
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Texas had always felt different and as if he didn't fit in anywhere, but when he found the Houston Defiance MC he felt as if he were at home, even though it was 1600 miles from his real home in Jersey. As the joint SAA (Sergeant-at-Arms), his job is to be protective and keep his brothers at the club safe. In essence, to be the first line of defence against anyone who seeks to do them harm. What happens when those who defend suddenly need protection? She upholds the law and the club lives by its own - never a good mix. He finds the pull to her is unstoppable, but there is dark surrounding her from the evil that is lurking in the shadows. They already have a high enemy count and more are added every day, but they can't see the danger just below the surface. When it erupts, all hope might be lost. When all else fails, will Defiance rise through the ash?
Wow - this really was full of danger and drama pretty much from the start to the finish. When it all started to come to a head so much happened I was convinced that all hope was lost, but no, they all worked together and somehow managed to find a way through what were the most serious and devastating circumstances. I was thrilled when Texas and Fin finally did something about the attraction that they have both danced around for a long time - and that kind of happiness could not have happened to two nicer people. Throughout it all, I could feel and empathise with all the thoughts and emotions of the characters. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Dragons in Shining Armor by Kathy Kulig 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Two royal dragon shifters need to find their mate in order to fulfil an ancient legacy. Gerri Wilder from the PDA is the right woman to help them and she finds a feisty woman from Earth who is perfect for them and brave enough to make the journey to their home planet. Prince Tovin and Prince Kyril decide to meet her anonymously in order to decide if she could love them without the pull of the royal title. So one is her guide and the other her guard - passions arise and they explore each other and have their chance at love without the titles. However, when she discovers the deception she is ready to leave them and return to Earth but the dragon shifters have lost their hearts to her and so will do anything to keep her there with them. Their enemies know the power of the legacy and so are determined to stop it including kidnapping Athena - now she gets to see just how protective a dragon shifter can be over his mate. .Can her dragons in shining armour rescue her before it’s too late?
I really enjoyed this story which had a strong and powerful woman who was just so sick of her treatment on Earth and how she met her two mates. The guys were great and very careful to meet her without the trappings of their rank which was a great idea. The stepmother and step-sister were just evil. I loved the sassy Athena and the guys were just amazing. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content involving MMF scenarios.

Review: When it Raines, He Purrs by Michelle Ziegler 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Moving on from a troubled past, Raine Collins now teaches self-defence and won't let anyone control her life. However, she is at odds with her late gran's ghost and so agrees to meet Gerri Wilder from the Paranormal Dating Agency. Cougar shifter and fireman Kian Walsh sent his father to prison years ago for domestic abuse but he is back out and with his Mum. Kian has built his life around controlling his cougar but now it is insisting it is time for them to find a mate. Kian goes to Gerri Wilder at the PDA for help. Kian knows that Raine is the one but she thinks he is full of rubbish. Maybe with the help of Gerri they can find love together, Can Raine's past stay buried and can Kian come to terms with his cougar.
I enjoyed the story and the various dramatic events that occurred. Raine was nice and sassy and Kian was a great guy who was struggling a bit with his cougar and just needed the love of a good woman to tame him. Sadly the book was littered with spelling mistakes (including spelling Raine's name wrong in one place) and so I had to drop one star in my rating. Enjoyable if you can see past the mistakes. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: The Mixtape by Brittainy C. Cherry 5 of 5 stars
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Emery has never felt so alone - raising her daughter is both a pleasure and a pain for her - she has no one to help them and so any late bill or unexpected expense could completely sink them. Rock Star Oliver Smith is still reeling from the death of his twin and bandmate Alex and is trying really hard to drink his problems away. Sadly the paparazzi are not far away to capture his torment. Oliver could have gone to any bar in California but he went to the one that Emery work in and she helps him lose the crowd. They find themselves alone with so many similarities between them. Can they find solace together and find the strength and love to move forward.
I loved this story. It had so many pieces of good advice and tender moments between them. I loved her daughter Reece and the way that she was central to the story. A real lesson in love, moving past grief, finding strength and friendship. Easy to read and understand. I could really feel the emotions from the characters and was moved by some of the moments near the end of the book. A great book that was very enjoyable.

Review: Finding Love in Montana: Triple J Ranch Prequel by Jenna Hendricks 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Mimi Bensen was what can be described as a late bloomer - but she has not been able to get out of the mindset that she is ugly and horrible to look at. But now she is beautiful if only she could see it - and that changes when she begins to see how God sees her as well as how visiting rancher Hank Walton sees her when he comes to Beacon Creek on business. He doesn't let her hide behind her shyness and waterfall of hair but slowly takes her out to places in order to get to know her. Can Mimi learn to like herself enough to accept Hank's attention? Or will her self-doubt get in the way of the handsome cowboy's attempts to court her?
This was a really sweet and clean romance that had you hooked and rooting for Mimi to discover that she was not ugly and needed to see herself the way everyone else did (and especially Hank who was completely smitten with her). Well written and easy to read, feel and understand. Perfect for a time when you want to read something with a spot of romance.

Review: Night Kissed by Mila Young by Jordan Crow 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Veronica survived through a trauma in her childhood involving vampires and is now studying at college while also a vampire slayer. She really enjoys the chase and the chance to save people from the trauma that she went through. When she is called in to investigate a chain of unexplained deaths in Alaska she meets three of the hottest and most dangerous monsters she has ever seen - a demon (Seth), a fallen angel (Logan) and a vampire (Orion). She has to learn to trust these monsters with her life in order to solve the murders while trying to deny her attraction to them all. As things heat up (in many ways) she knows that things will never be the same again for her. Can she survive the evil she is sworn to kill as well as the ones she has let into her heart?
This was a good start to the series and it was great to meet Veronica and the three guys that were fundamental to her ability to solve the murders but also became a part of her private life too. I enjoyed the plot with the clan and the workers who had an unusual payment for their work. Full of mysteries to be solved and drama plus danger. Easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: The Twins by Miranda Martin by James D. Horton 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Human Kennedy is a slave on the gladiatorial planet of Krix, after just one night with the sexy blue aliens known as the Twins she discovers that she is pregnant - the question is will they let her keep the baby or will they force her to get rid of it and sell her to someone else? Not only is she stuck on Krix but she fears that she will be stuck with the two aliens who will claim her as their own after just one night of lust, not love. The Twins are an oddity among their Alvan people - they share a mind and their thoughts and feelings are always know to each other - the same as that shares among mates of the soul, know to their people as Pari. They assumed that they could not have the same bond with others, but when they meet Kennedy after just one night, they want more no matter the cost to their lives as slaves.
I enjoyed this story which gave some very real examples of the brutality of the dysfunctional environment on Krix and what people will do for those who they love. I enjoyed the additional information on the environment there as well as the way that the relationship between the Twins worked and their thought processes. I did find the doubts and strange uncertainty of Kenney on certain things a little odd but I guess she was stuck in uncertainty and self-doubt. I was so glad on the way that the story ends. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content some of which is MMF.

Review: Wolf Spell by Tasha Black 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Bella was an ordinary girl in college whose only aim in life was to become a nurse so she could care for her disabled brother until she found out she was a witch. Then she was suddenly transported to Primrose Academy where she is told in just a semester she will be able to wield her own magic. However, before she has a chance to do any of the things she wants to do one of the sexy wolf-shifter guardians walks right up to her in a special Choosing Ceremony and tells her she is coming with him as I am his mate. Luke might be determined to protect her but is she able to deny their mate bond and stick to her dreams?
I enjoyed this start to the series with suitable levels of danger and drama merged into a story of attraction and love between mates. I loved the way that Luke did everything that he could to care for and support Bella and how that fed into the end of the story. I can't wait to read about how they develop things as the series continues and the story of the witches, guardians and The Order develops. Easy to read and understand. Contains some sexual content.

Review: Bull Protectors by T.B. Mann 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Sarah is the publicist and PA to TV star Laguna Resita and has received a series of disturbing letters in the star's mail. No one but her and her office mate Kailee appears to take it seriously so Kailee tells her cousin Kai about them. However, instead of being reassured about them, Sarah suddenly gets pulled into a case of a possible serial killer. Shifters and members of the Aquaterrestrial Task Force in the FPU Kai, Dylan and Zale assigned a case to find a kidnapped mermaid working as a ballerina. However, what seemed to be a case of a serial abduction that turns into something worse morphs into something far worse. Add to that they have a problem - they each find their mate, but it appears to be the same woman. What started off seeing straightforward is suddenly anything but and at the time that they think they can take a rest is the exact time when the killer strikes.
This definitely had some complex strands that were woven together in such a way that care had to be taken to unweave them. Sarah was definitely feisty and that did cause a few issues mainly I think due to communication issues. An easy to read story containing a few plot twists along the way. Contains explicit sexual content some of which was MMMF.

Review: Lies of Murk by Eva Chase 5 of 5 stars
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
After her abduction into the Fae realm, Talia has made conquered all of the obstacles she has so far encountered and now has a life for herself with one soul bond and 3 mates, but now finds herself kidnapped into the part of the world inhabited by the Murk who seem to have far more power than anyone could have imagined. They suddenly seem to have far more of an influence on her life than she had ever imagined and it becomes clear that the longer she remains in their part of the world the more they will use her against the men that she loves to destroy everything that she has grown to care about. If she fails now the entire faerie world will be irreparably changed, but she really can't see how she can do it alone - but as she is among the cruellest of the fae, she really can't see where she will find herself an ally.
There were some major revelations in this book that are going to change things for everyone if they can move past their historical hate and impressions. Talia tried her best to be a rational and friendly person although I have to say that in the face of the cruelty from the Murk that was certainly a tall order at times. I loved the way that the book finished and the next one certainly promises to be explosive in many ways. Well written and easy to read and understand. I loved the clear descriptions of the memories which felt very real. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Crau by Miranda Martin by James D. Horton 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Human Camilla was captured by aliens before being sold and then stolen to end up working as a slave on the planet Krix where everything has gone back to something like Roman times with gladiators fighting in the ring and no use of technology in normal life. So her life is a version of hell, isolated from the other humans, working as a slave and available for gladiators to torment at whim. The first time she sees the half-alien and half-cyborg man spying on her she thinks he is no matter than the others, but she was wrong - he is very different and maybe her only hope of escaping. Crau was a slave, a gladiator and now free leading the Free Movement leaving him little time for a woman let alone love. But the moment he sees Camilla his mechanical heart stops. The whole system of slavery stands between him and her and he doesn't give a damn - if he has to destroy the whole planet to have her then that is the way it is going to be.
This was a fitting final story in the series. I enjoyed the descriptions of the slavery and gladiatorial circumstances of the planet's inhabitants. I loved the way that the relationship between Camilla and Crau started more as a friendship and not as a demand for attention or physical gratification. There were definitely some heartbreaking moments where I was convinced that their story would end in tragic circumstances before somehow either within themselves or with the help of friends they were able to recover the situation. The final conclusion was great to realise how people really did have a future that did not involve brutality nor torture. Easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Spthifius by Miranda Martin by James D. Horton 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Savannah was kidnapped by alien space pirates and sold to the highest bidder as a slave. Life on Krix is dangerous and hard and the only people the owners care about are their alien gladiators who will bring glory to House Batius. She thought she would do anything to be free but when she is asked to cosy up to one of the gladiators in order to be sure he is telling the truth when he says he knows how to contact the Free Movement she baulks. He is loud, arrogant, full of himself and a grade Alpha-hole - the stereotypical bad boy but with green skin and tusks. She should hate him but instead her heart speeds up and butterflies dance in her stomach when he looks at her. Spthifius lives by two rules - take what you want or have it taken from you and don't let anyone close because if you let them in they can hurt you. He wants Savannah from the moment he lays eyes on her but he knows he can't let himself have those thoughts - he knows one night with her and both those rules will be broken. However, when Dominus offers Savannah as a prize for any of the Gladiators to win and use, he’ll break every rule in the galaxy to make sure she’s no one else's but his.
I really enjoyed this story - it was a mutual lust while disliking followed by a misunderstanding that needed intervention to sort out. I loved the way he did everything to protect the woman he loved as well as all the other women from someone who would have seriously injured them. It seems that all he needed was to find the right woman and them he would love totally and completely. An addictive story that I really enjoyed. Easy to read and understand. Contains some sexual content.

Review: Cat's Howl by C.D. Gorri 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Cat Maccon is as tough as nails - she had to be growing up in an all-male household. Now she is on a mission to prove herself - something that causes no end of grief for her older brother Rafe Maccon who is the Alpha of the Macconwood Pack. So she joins the Maccon Country Sheriff's Department where she wants to be taken seriously by one particular Wolf Guard member - Tate Nighthawk who is tall, rugged, handsome and the stuff of her dreams. When she is targetted by their enemies that are led by rogue Werewolf Skoll, Rafe assigns Cat her own bodyguard and knowing how she will react he gives her the one guard who won't be taken in by her - Tate Nighthawk. Tate takes his job seriously and even though she is his perfect woman he won't let that interfere with his protection of her. When they are stuck in the woods alone together their past catches up with them can she find true love with the man of her dreams or will it be too much for Tate to handle?
I loved this story which was a fated mate scenario along with a forbidden love vibe. I was thrilled when they had the time together in the woods to finally sort out their relationship and give in to the obvious - that they were meant for each other. I'm not convinced they covered what happened to the guys who were after her but there was a nice surprise at the end. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains some sexually explicit content.

Review: Her Alien Prince by Presley Hall 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Charlotte is a linguist and part of a team to make contact with aliens but it goes horribly wrong when their ship crashes on an unknown alien planet. When she emerges several things become clear - it wasn't a peaceful mission as there are women on board who were meant to be sold in return for alien technology, there is no way to get off the planet they are now on and their chances of survival are very low. When she is accidentally separated from the others her chances of survival are even slimmer when she drops into the lap of a gorgeous alien warrior with metallic blue skin and cat-like eyes. They don't speak the same language but surprisingly her body craves his touch and she is drawn to him. He seems to be her best shot at getting home however, the more she is with him, the less she actually wants to leave!
This was a fun read that had some danger and drama mixed in with issues that were slowly tackled and solved. I enjoyed the relationship between them both although I did find the militancy of some of the women a little strange as it was clearly not the aliens on that planet who were going to sell them - in fact, they were all very respectful towards them. An easy read with a fairly quick bonding between mates. I did find her determination to leave and go home a little strange as she clearly said that there was nothing to go home to or for, plus the way she ummed and ahhed over the decision was odd. Contains explicit sexual content.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Anya had a lot of strange things happen to her as a kid which meant she was moved from multiple foster homes until the Headmistress of Primose Academy found her and gave her a home and training for her magic. However, she does have a secret - unlike the other witches she does not have to pay a price for her magic and has some capacity to spare. The secret is hard to keep but she feels she needs to or face losing the only home she has ever known. Then the Raven King arrives on her side of the veil with his strange fae magic and he really sees her and what she is. Anya feels a pull and so her own problems seem small compared to the threat he poses - she is sure she has a part to play in this and might even be able to save us all if she could stop dreaming about the Raven King’s pale eyes.
I absolutely loved this story. Anya was such a good and kind soul who cherished her friends and family but also felt the draw between herself and the Raven King. She managed to stay independent and do the things that she felt were right throughout everything that happened to her when it would have been easy for her to just do what she was being told. There was a lot of danger, drama and emotions in this story which was very clear and easy to feel and understand. Contains just a little light sexual content.

Review: Tempted by the Alien Dragon by Ava Hunter by Milly Taiden 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Prime Stalker Therias is dispatched to bring back a missing alien but on the way, his shuttle is threatened by human intergalactic bounty hunter Cynthie. After disabling her craft he discovers that she also has a child bounty on board, He discovers that Cynthie drives him wild and that confusingly he wants her, but as she is his prisoner that is off the agenda. Cynthie finds it hard to believe that Therias is now asking her to help him with the child and as tempting as it is to keep pressing his buttons she does relent and help out. By the time they find the missing alien and his mate they've created a family unit. Can Therias fight for the family he has grown to love or will everything turn to space dust?
I enjoyed this story with the incredibly sassy Cynthie and the strong and determined Therias. I loved the banter that existed between them and the way that eventually he had to think hard about what he actually wanted and if he was prepared to stop blindly doing what the Regency wanted. That way he was able to have a pleasant life with his mate and instant family. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Anzil by Miranda Martin by James D. Horton 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Marine Kara and 12 other women are captured and sold into slavery on Krix but before they arrive at their new master's house they are attacked and four of them are captured. However, as far as Kiara is concerned her mission is still to protect those she swore to although it might not just be her alien masters who stand in the way of her doing that as the biggest problem might be Primus Adzil who is big and red with a rock hard body and incredibly sexy. What she is not sure if whether he is an ally or an enemy. Anzil is the Primus and the best gladiator that House Batius can put into the arena. No one dares to stand against him except Kiara with her tiny frame, dark skin, a skilled fighter and refusal to back down (which just makes him want her more). Having never questioned his life before Kiara is now making him want freedom just to make her happy. After all, he will do anything for what is his and she is definitely his.
I liked this story which had lots of drama and danger while also showing that sometimes it was better to control your temper in order to get a better reward later on. I loved the fire and spirit in Kiara as well as the determination in Anzil. Easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Chosen by the Alien Dragon by Ava Hunter by Milly Taiden 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Human Seph works in a bar near to area 51 and sees all sorts of weird things and people. However, when a bar fight turns into real proof that aliens are real her world changes. It turns scary when he kidnaps her and even though she fights he is not letting her go and yet while she is confused and shocked she is not so sure she wants him to either. Alien Rulik says she is his mate but Seph disagrees because he is not human and is a liar - but she can't stop fantasising about him with no clothes on. His attempts at romance are dreadful but as time passes her heart melts just a little bit more for him. The question is - can he get her to see sense that they would be great out in space travelling together or will their love be nothing more than space dust?
I enjoyed this story with a crazy mix between alien abduction and a fated mates story. I loved Rulik and his inept communication skills and sassy Seph and her determination to not become a victim but to own her future and circumstances. It was great that they eventually found common interests that brought them together and that it became more and more obvious that whether you understood it or not, they were meant to be together. Well written, easy to read and understand and a great story with an imaginative plot. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Charley's Christmas Wolf by C.D. Gorri 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Alpha of the Macconwood Pack Rafe Maccon needs to find his mate as a rogue wolf is trying to oust him by using an ancient law that says the alpha must be mated. So Rafe's Wolf Guard take it upon themselves to find him one. Human Charley Palmieri works in a dead-end job and lives alone with her cat until one night when her world changes forever - she is taken. Rafe and Charley are instantly attracted to each other but can Rafe convince her to be his before the pack elder meeting on Christmas Eve and be his one true mate for life?
This was a sweet story that had a very usual start to the mating between Rafe and Charley even though they were really true mates. I loved her sass and determination to not just give in and let the wolves have their own way while also starting as she meant to go on and showing who was really in charge in the kitchen. Easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Stallion Shield by C.D. Gorri 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Stallion shifter and Guardian of Chaos Furio Lo Duca knows exactly who his mate is - kitchen witch Jessenia, but being set in his ways and with a tough as nails exterior he is not finding it easy to talk to her - plus she is not waking it very easy for him either. It doesn't help that she can see straight through him. With Loyalists threatening them all, can this Jersey boy claim the sassy mouthed Jessentia and take his rightful place in the team or will his self-doubt win?
This was a sweet light read with plenty of danger and drama. I loved the modern touches in their story as well as the way he was punished when she lost her cool with him. Easy to read and understand. A fun read. Contains explicit sexual content.

The sassy and curvy beauty responsible is called Celine Cooper and she is about to heap a new set of problems on him - can he handle everything and stay himself?
I really enjoyed this story which had Gunner having to cross paths with a very evil man in order to get the chance of a future and happiness with the woman he loves. I loved that Sassy Celine started off trying to help her family but in the end, she fought for her future with the man she loved. Easy to read and understand. Contains some violence and sexual content.

Review: Seeking Shadows by K.E. Osborn 5 of 5 stars
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Dash was convinced that he was in love with Ivy but she is in love with and has chosen VP Void. Instead of accepting it, he ends up being given a time-out and finds himself in a dive bar drinking away his sorrows. Can this provide the answers he needs as he confides in Shadow? Has he found the answers he needs without realising it and after connecting the pieces he will then have to fight for what he wants with everything that he has. How will it all work out?
I loved this story which started with Dash being an immature dick and ended with him being the kind of man to deserve a happy future with a family. There was definitely a lot of drama, danger and excitement in this story which was pretty much from the start to the finish. I loved the connections back to Dash and his childhood and the examples of the actions that a parent will take in order to protect their child. I loved Shadow who was just sassy from the start to the finish of this book. Well written, easy to read and understand this book contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Kings of Chaos by Eva Ashwood 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
River has a list with 6 names on it - all men who hurt and wronged her to turn her into the person she is now. Now all of the names have been crossed off except for the last one - it ought to be simple but she ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time and it really upsets four brutal, twisted and gorgeous men called Gage, Priest, Ash, and Knox. Thankfully, the last name on her list is also on their list and so they agree to work together - River gets to have her revenge and in return they just want her. She's played this game before though, even though they've agreed to help her, I know they want to punish her too.
This was certainly a dark story with 5 characters, all beautiful, all twisted and violent and all keen to give out punishments. A large part of me really enjoyed this I just wanted a little bit more background to some of the characters so that I could understand them a bit more. I loved the individual ways that everyone has tortured in their own sweet way and the way that they were able to connect. The priest was my favourite of the men. Well written and easy to read/understand. Contains explicit sexual content and torture.

Review: Get Kraken: Federal Paranormal Unit by Mandy Rosko 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Kraken shifter Olivia is the only one of her kind and is used to freaking people out when they see her. However, bodies start appearing with marks that appear to be made by a Kraken she realises that she needs to help to catch the person responsible if she wants to clear her name. So she goes to the FPU and volunteers to help. Goblin shark shifter Mike is an agent of the Aquaterrestrial Task Force which is a division of the FPU and is not pleased when Harpy shifter Chase is sent to help with communications and is even more unhappy when he discovers volunteer Olivia is on the case too. It gets so much worse when it appears that she is Olivia's mate and so is Chase. Can the team figure out how to deal with two men mated to the same woman? And can they accept using her as bait to lure out a dangerous killer before it’s too late?
I loved this story which had the dual mate thing, the jealousy and learning to get along, being protective while trusting someone enough to be in danger, and determination to make sure that everything was right for the woman they loved. Contains danger and drama as well as MMF explicit sexual content.

Review: The Pawn by Skye Warren 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Gabriel Miller swept into Avery James life as he tore down her father with cold retribution leaving him penniless and in a hospital bed. Avery had to quit her private girls' college to take care of him. There seems to be only one way to save the house that they live in - be in a forbidden auction to sell her virginity. Gabriel is always there and seems to take great pleasure in every fall she has however, he can also appear to be the only kind person there in the underworld. Except he's playing a deeper game than I know. Every move brings us together, every secret rips us apart. And when the final piece is played, only one of us can be left standing.
I really enjoyed this book which was a real journey through the torment of Avery, the way things evolved into the auction, the result and the actions afterwards. I loved the chess game connections and the way it was all central to the story and the events that happened to her. Part of me wanted to feel desperately sorry for her and part of me just wanted her to grow up. There were a reasonable amount of actions with roots in the world of a Dom and plenty of explicit sexual content. Easy to read and understand. Plan to be unable to put this down for some time.

Review: Whimsical Seduction by Robbie Cox 3 of 5 stars
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Elf Mason Wentworth believes that his perfect vacation is to be alone with a thick boo, several cups of hot tea and lots of silence. Fairy Kiki Stanford loves to have a good time and hates to see others waste the fun-filled Crimson Moon Hideaway resort, especially when they could be having fun with her. When an extrovert forces an introvert to mingle and socialise with each other, can they avoid killing each other so they can discover the fire that could exist between them?
This was a sweet story where Kiki did everything she could to make sure that Mason had a good, fun-filled time and the placid elf coped remarkably with her pushing him. I liked the dogged way she pushed him to do fun things and the way he responded. It was a fun light read with just a little sexual content.

Review: Fallon's Flaw by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Fallon has returned to base in South Africa to follow their only active lead in the hunt for the saboteur who downed Bullard's plane. When he arrives there Linny Dave's niece is there for one of her visits and even though they have both shared good and bad moments they have always danced around the long-term attraction that exists between them. The sticking point has always been that Fallon refuses to take any action as he feels that his relationship with Bullard and the crew is more important to put at risk for a relationship with anyone - even her. Doctor Linny planned to confront Fallon about their relationship stalemate but instead, they find an old beau dead in front of the gates to the compound. She has decided that even though her uncle Dave is everything to her and Bullard is very important as he put her through medical school, she only ever comes back to see Fallon. As her world starts to implode and Fallon is facing a change for the worse they will have to work and trust each other to get to the bottom of everything.
I really enjoyed this story that involved some of the seedier sides of the internet as well as the subject of stalking, It was great to read of the magnetism between them as well as the way that the strong and confident Linny had to take control of their situation and just box Fallon in a place where he just had to make a decision one way or the other. Well written, easy to read and understand it was also easy to feel their thoughts and emotions. The progress of the investigation was important and gave us a little more knowledge as to who was responsible. Contains some explicit sexual content near the end of the story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
