Review: Crimson Moon Hideaway: Coming Into His Own by J.C. Layne 3 of 5 stars

Crimson Moon Hideaway: Coming Into His Own

Crimson Moon Hideaway: Coming Into His Own by J.C. Layne
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Roderick (Rod) Lovelace has lived a normal life in England with his adoptive parents. University educated he never found a job that he could settle in but the reason for that starts to become clear after his 25th birthday he has started to get strange urgest to go to places and when a heart-shaped section on his wrist began pulsing one afternoon he finally freaked out. His parents introduced him to Nigel Lovebond and together they told him that his birth father was a cupid and therefore so is Rod as he is now coming into his cupid powers. Nigel takes him to the Crimson Moon Hideaway to attend the Cupid Expo where he meets his mentor Seth Lovejoy who is going to help him to learn to be a cupid. As Rod learns the details of his calling he also learns that he is part of an accepting fraternity of brothers who have his back (at the same time he might just find the love he didn't know he needed).

I enjoyed this story which helped me to gain an insight into how a cupid does its work and what it involves. I loved the fact that a cupid might not know when they are an assignment but they are not immune to cupid arrows. Easy to read and understand it was a fun read that was quite addictive.
