When Grey had seen Star years ago he knew she was his mate, but she wasn't prepared to give him the time of day and he was then called home. But needing to head back to the Florida swamp where she lives he is determined this time to not give in and instead claim her. Star is determined to fight rogues, wizards and her attraction to Grey. When she saw him leave she was very relieved in her head even though her heart and her wolf were not. But now he is back she is determined to not make it easy for him, but she will listen to everything around her history and try to understand what went on then. Can they sort it all out?
I enjoyed this story which featured a love between a dragon and his mate, a love between a dragon and his brother, and evil which is determined to destroy them all. I enjoyed much of this story which was about Star's history, the evil that was attacking them all, Grey's brother and their mating bond. I did find some of it a little tedious and boring, but it was mostly enjoyable. Easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content near the end of the story.
