Rakian Warrior Merren is an ex-pow who was genetically modified in order to create the perfect soldier but after being caught, tortured and losing his memories it appears that the only way to retrieve them is to go rogue with the only person he can trust - human Sasha. However, she has secrets of her own and history has taught her not to trust anyone. Can they gamble on each other in order to survive and get whatever information they can on what happened to Merran as well as how that affects everyone else?
I enjoyed this story. The hidden secret that Sasha had was very sad and I can understand why she was not keen to go back there. I loved the way they found solace in each other and found that they were the right person to rely on as their skills were needed. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.
