Piper Dillon works as a cyber intelligence expert for RAPTOR after gaining shrapnel near her spine during her military service. She has a chance to go back into the field on a sex trafficking case. Footballer Royce Rowan seems to have it all - good looks, charm, personality and great throwing arm. He has throngs of women keen to jump into his bed except for Piper who wants nothing to do with that lifestyle. What she actually does want is for him to risk everything to help her to bring down a couple of his teammates who are involved in some very dodgy things - the problem is he hasn't worked so hard at his career to throw it all away. However, as things progress in order to save Piper’s life, he may have to play the game like never before.
I loved this book. Piper and Royce were very lifelike and I could relate to both of them. The mystery as to who was behind the trafficking was great and I felt that I was working it out at the same time as they were. I loved the dramatic ending and the desperation as they both fought in their own way to save Piper and make sure that the guilty parties were brought to justice. I loved the way that the team were able to see that Royce was on board with them and just as horrified so that he was included in their actions. Easy to read and feel their thoughts and emotions. Contains some sexual content.
