Tiger shifter leader of Nova Aurora’s Southern Mountain Streak Taariq Xanon has a big problem - rumours say that the streak is cursed because he has not chosen a mate and his people are starting to demand that he settle down. So when he meets his mate he hopes that everything is going to be fine. Aurora's human queen Bella has not seen her friend Sierra Rylee in years and when Gerri Wilder suggests to Sierra that the perfect anniversary gift for Bella is a visit from her she is excited plus if she meets a nice guy in the process all the better. Of course, Gerri has a plan and as soon as Sierra meets Taariq she is willing to let the hot alien shifter sweep her off her feet although someone in his past is not happy and is willing to stop at nothing to break them apart. Can they figure out who is targeting her before it is too late?
I really enjoyed this story with the leader finding his mate, having to be careful as she was human, the evil old friend and the internal squabbles. It was an enjoyable story with some great levels of danger and drama at times. I loved the way that Gerri worked on this story and it made a nice change. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.
